I'm pretty disappointed with the Beta test of the device (don't know if it's still going on even?). Next time TET should pick someone who is willing to take video and at the very least pictures of the device. As of right now the only footage/pictures we have are from TET. It would have been nice to see some outside perspective.

No it's because he said he doesn't know how to/can't put photos/videos online from his computer.
However, I really don't see how anyone in this day an age is not capable of taking a photo and uploading it to a website.

Yeah... that's just what he's saying. And it's a hell of a lot nicer than saying "I can't; just wait". There's a lot more to these situations then meets the consumers eye. Just be patient.

A beta tester has no obligation to say anything to anyone except the product developer. In fact, most beta tests stipulate that you are forbidden to talk about it with anyone else. If TET had given OF a Cera to review, you'd have a right to complain, but they didn't, they said it was a beta test. Beta tests have nothing to do with providing pictures and video to the general public. OF and TET haven't disappointed you, you've set unrealistic expectations and disappointed yourself.

I finally have the spare cash to buy the oil cera and it's taking so much willpower not to preorder! I'm trying to play it smart though, they said "preorder" would become "order" as soon as they start shipping them out, and I want the least amount of uncertainty possible, ie. they ship the day after I order...

I have a question about the lighted switch.

When the cera is too low on battery to make vapor will the lighted switch cease to work as well? Or does the led light require such little power that it will continue to function until the battery is 100% depleted?

It would be nice to be able to tell if your cera needed a battery swap without turning it on, putting it to your lips, and tugging on it.

I am pretty sure TV stated that the led is powered by a small watch battery or something similar and that battery indicators or anything else of the sort are omitted to keep things simple to decrease electronic failures and increase longevity of the device. From the capabilities that are being stated so far I am pretty sure batteries aren't going to be much of an issue a battery in the device and maybe a back up should bring a whole lot of vapor.

The second part (about keeping it simple) is I think exactly right (although I never 'heard' them put it that way), which I think lets a lot of things out. Including LEDs. My money's on a bulb, and a fairly interesting one at that.

How to make the 'reverse logic' version (light on when power is off, off when it's on) is easy, the light switch in my bedroom does that. Not very useful to us here.

I still don't understand how it can work as described and am looking forward to finding out about it when the time comes. While I might well be embarrassed by a 'oh, wow, of course!' moment, I don't plan to be shy about what I understand is going on....once I understand it.

That's really funny, I thought of a shutter with a H3 vial like on watches and gun sights.....

My best idea is a capacitor and bulb across the switch contacts that would pre charge to full battery voltage and when the short of the battery happened (it got turned on) the cap would discharge back through the bulb, lighting it. For a while....dimming all the time.... And you'd need to rig a stout shunt diode on the lamp to keep it from flashing on turn off. Breaks lots of the rules, but it's my best 'inside the box' guess right now.

Yes, in theory. But that calls for a bulb that basically doesn't exist. The bulb would have to pass the entire heater current (several Amps) and yet draw only a fraction of a Watt (meaning truly tiny Voltage drop). This in turn leads to a very short but fat filament that would never get hot enough to glow. There's a 'sweet spot' in bulb design after which you make the filament longer and longer for higher and higher voltages, but we're not there yet. At such levels a typical indicator bulb would be under .025 Volts.

The problem here is ironically there is no available power for constant use at the base. There will be power available through the load (cart) and through safety switch, if turned on. But once the switch is closed there is no longer a second connection as you have just shorted them. This is where OF and myself have been a little confused as to the way it works.

You may be right bout the battery OF I thought they said something of the sort was done as part of the mod for the battery but maybe I am confusing it with the conjecturing we were doing. As to the simplicity of the design I definitely remember TV saying something to that effect with regards to something dealing with electronics, or temp controls, it ties into there green philosophy.

Man, I am stumped! You guys have at it! I'll be happy to read about it once you all figure it out! I don't have the understanding of the wirings and voltages as you do, but I consider myself an inhalation and draw technique specialist! So that is where (I estimate) my testing and reviews will shine. I broke out my T1 the other night just to enjoy the flavor and circular breathing technique I ultimately developed to facilitate a nice level of medication with the device. It still packs a punch if you know how to heat it up well first!! Ah- well, I digress...

Just for fun, check this out. The AC input could be DC as well and polarity would not matter.
Looks close size wise, only thing is Noah said no electronics but this could be concealed in the end fairly easily.

Do you think it looks like it might fit the bill.??

EDIT, little pricey in terms or realistate for the sake of an indicator. Maybe a thinner capacitor?

If you want a light switch you have to let them know so they can swop it out. ( can't have both I guess) take your pick it must have to be attached in a specific way and must be two different switches all around other wise you be able to just exchange caps but that's not the case,if you didn't know that yet.
The sleeve in the video isn't a actual sleeve its a mock up they put together to see what they could come up with, not bad.
Anyway it looks like awesome piece that I myself thInk will be one of my favorite vapes in my arsenal.
I see complaints saying the Cera LL doesn't produce huge clouds, well check out the videos in my opinion it makes nice clouds considering portable vapes I haven't seen or used anything that produces that size vapor even if the draws are long, if it works it works.
I think with some technique and patience and a learning curve ill be so happy so medicated things will be fine.
Between my VXH cloud and this Cera and my other 10 vaporizers I'm sure ill survive 2012 lol
