who needs sleep?? apparently I don't. I guess I'm the only one stalking this thread recently.

No, you're not the only one. I now have a new addiction, I can't stop checking both threads.
I think we all deserve an update from the TET team!
It's day 5 after the projected date to start shipping and no new news, not a even a clue if they have shipped any? Can we please get an update?

No need to murder me. If you get close enough to do so ill probably just share...

I saw and smelled this while walking through the mall yesterday. Just a sad reminder that I don't have my Cera yet =(

Yeah, I agree....no-one on here that I know of has had any shipping updates etc.
I believe that Monday the 10th was the day that they had planned on starting to piece them together and then obviously shipping as and when they were ready.

I've been trying to tally things up in my mind...now I obviously don't know what's exactly involved in piecing these things together but tbh I don't think it will be too difficult as there is no electronic displays etc etc...so I was kinda thinking along these lines -
1 person 1 piece build time = 5min's...so lets be generous for to allow for coffee, cigarette/vape breaks etc so lets say to build 1 piece it takes 6mins instead of the 5mins.
1 person is producing approximately 10 units an hour working an 8hr day (allowing 1hr for lunch) so in 7hrs there should be 70 units built by 1 person.
I'm sure that Noah mentioned that the pre-order was only for 500 units so if my calculations are correct for the piece time etc and they indeed did start piecing them together on Monday they should have at least built 350 units by the end of today....yet no-one here has had any shipping updates etc....although I believe posters like OF etc who have close dealings with these people....when they say that they are an honourable company etc...I have no reason at all to dispute this but the lack of updates on the situation is starting to ring alarm bells in my head and I'm thinking of the MiVape scenario....I sincerely hope that is not the case.

I agree the lack of updates is a bit much, but I believe the delay is probably more due to last minute details (skins, etc) being delayed beyond their control. Erase the fears of a MiVape scenario from your mind. These are stand up guys.

Sometimes the simplest designs are the most complicated to put together. Only they know what the delay is and we just have to wait to find out unfortunately.

Murphy loves to ruin launch dates as well ;)

Agreed Tweek, I do believe that these are stand up guy's and I also agree that the simplest is sometimes the hardest to do well....the MiVape was just an added joke and I don't really think that I'll still be waiting on my Cera this time next year...lol...at least I hope not.

It would be nice though if at least one of 3 or 4 members of TET that are active in here could come on and just give everyone an update as to what stage we are at...as we all know, customers get pissed if they are kept hanging about in the dark...if everyone is kept up to date on the situation at hand then that eases everyone's concerns and people appreciate being kept up to date.

I don't bloody want any of these skins...not at the mo', at least....all I want is to be vaping on my Cera on Christmas day...lol...so forget the skins TET and just get shipping the Cera's out, we can all purchase the skins at a later date if we want them....

I believe the last we heard from Noah he said the next day he was meeting with the company about the skins and the Ceo of tenergy, so it does seem likely it is an issue with accessories. Hopefully it works out soon, I sure would love me some cera right about now.

I totally understand the feelings of frustration and impatience. I have been refreshing my inbox way too often...it's sad, really. I do have a life...I swear :haw:

Yes fake name, I think I read that too.
As I said above...I don't want a skin...;)...all I want is a Cera.

I know TET are really trying to keep every customer happy by trying their best to be able to offer any of the associated accessories to be shipped at the same time as the Cera, but they're penallising customers like myself who have just ordered the bare bones Cera with no accesories and who are also international customers which will have to wait on customs clearence etc etc, and that takes a while.

My concern is it has something to do with battery/ battery chargers. Some people could use another 18650 they have, ut most don't have one. Same with the charger. Its one of those things that could cause a big delay. That or they all got norwalk virus. That shit halts production from any company once it spreads, just takes one asshole who just took a cruise on a big cruise ship.

I don't understand why they need to feature other vaporizers in their video. It doesn't even make sense having the MFLB there. Is TV going after the $80-$120 MFLB market with the $250-$500 Cera?

If your product is good, let it stand alone.

there could be a number of reasons for delays, but I am sure this is no mivape experience. At lease we have seen one of these in use, on video, so we know it exists.

@Dankd420, It sure does, if your an office worker over here your 8hr day is really only a 7hr day as they generally have an hour for lunch...but if your only a menial manual worker like myself you have to work 7.5hrs as you only get a 1/2hr for lunch...which is all wrong in my opinion, as it's us manual workers that actually do the real work and all the office workers really do is look at computer screens and talk to people on the telephone all day...;)

Sonics, I don't want to spoil your Christmas but...I don't think you'll have your Cera in time for the 25th if you don't have a pre-order in.
I think Noah said that after the pre-orders were all gone then there wouldn't be any more shipped out until after the New Year.

I've worked menial labor jobs before here in the states, i suppose its also a 7.5 hour work day (two paid 15 minute breaks), but lunches are unpaid :( These days i work in an office, and its a full 8 hour work day(unpaid 1 hour lunch). I guess i will have to walk down the street to the pot shop and drown my sorrows in a selection of 20+ wax's ;)

I don't want to litter the real Cera thread with my n00b question; how much are the other cartridges - ie if I buy a Loose Leaf Cera, what does it cost to be able to use Essential Oils and E-Liquids?

It's all on their website, thermovape.force.com

Basically all Stainless Steel cores are $100 regardless of which one you decide to get 1st. And all Titanium cores are $200 regardless of which one you decide to get 1st as well.

EDIT: ^^^ got to it first, sorry for extra post, was trying to help out!

Here is some good info from ThermoVape.

We are going to transition directly from a pre-sale, to just selling. The only thing making this a pre-sale is that we are not shipping the Cera's for another week or so. Once the parts land, we are just selling. We will provide as constant a stream of Cera's to as many people who want them. If you order a Cera on Christmams Eve 12/24, it it will ship 12/26-12/27 etc. We will back to a 24-48 hour turn-around from order to ship (unless there is some laser etching work that is custom).

We will be seriously geared up for New years. Always a good opportunity for us to try and reach out to poeple smoking cigaretts and let them know we are a potential alternative, that we think would be highly effective in helping them never smoke again.

There will be a Cera for you if and when you want one. We have one for you, just tell us when and if you want it. No rush. The Cera is the product of 9 cermic tools that cannot be changed, this is what she will be like, forever.

We had a long discussion with our Ceramics guys on the 6th, an our machinist for SS and the other machinist doing Ti yesterday to purchase and fix our cost for 2013. So there will be NO PRICE INCREASE or DECREASE in 2013. Because of the extremely high cost of the materials in the Cera, and based on the overall cost of building high end mechanical devices that our hand assembled in the USA, we will have predictable yearly price adjustment of the Cera product line. So this time next year the Cera will increase in cost/sale price by 2%-5%. Based on our model this is as conservative as we can be. Plan for a yearly price INCREASE of the Cera by a minimum of 2% every year, and no more then 5%.

So yes, the prices are going up, 12/1/2013 all Cera prodcts (anything with Ceramic or Metal) will go up. They will go up again 12/1/2014 again. Best case a Cera will cost you 4% more starting 12/2014... worst case is 10%.

This is just a side effect of dealing with rare, expensive, US sourced materials usually reserved solely for use in implantable medical devices, complex sensor arrays, military and defense applications, and aerospace. We do not make that many raw materials here in the States, and the ones we do such as Magnesia Stabilize Zriconia, Sulfur free High Grade SS, and High grade T1 go up in price yearly as inflation, feul costs, labor costs, etc. etc. continue to rise. Companies that make fine Jewlery struggle with this same issue, yearly there will be a variation in the price of the raw materials required for them to produce their product.

An example would be Van Cleed & Arpels, every year they raise their pricies a fixed amount to account for the multiple factors that increase the cost of doing business and/or producing the durable good.

Difficult to make another analogy because everyone else who uses these materials are using them for a far different application. Implantable medical devices, military/defense/aerospace. That stuff cost more and more money each year but the data is hard to get on how much they increase the price of the products they make. Anyone know what the year over year cost increase in defense satellite manufacturing is? I do not.

So we rely on fixing our costs as early as possible for the year ahead so we know what we can sell the Cera for.We also know we have to adjust that price yearly to stay uin business.

Thanks guys I found it in the options when you select a Cera. For some reason the Cores aren't showing up in the regular store for me though... That link takes me to them, but if I just go into the store by myself they don't seem to be there.
