no, it's not the batteries, I have used the stacked 18350s and had the same thing happen. It times out every time, consistently. It's the purple top, so maybe a new feature??

jambandphan03,
My hammer doesn't work. It comes on for 3 seconds then the light just flashes after that.

On the flip I broke down and tried my herc. First impressions are it's kind of weak. I vaped a little flower but got a little combustion. Tried a couple dabs worth of wax in a tank and it seemed like the oil just evaporated in to thin air with a little whispy vaper :(. Do I need to prime it or something? I think crumbly wax might just be better in the original carts?

PALE BLUE DOT
?
I have 2 PERSEI's a Chrome one with Trust Fire batteries and a Black one with Red IMR's.
The Red Batteries seem to be stronger even thought the trust fires are rated the same.
Should I throw the Trust Fires away and replace them with the red ones?
How about this one?

Holy crap, I just spend 3 hours on this thread trying to catch up!

I purchased a Hercules Oil & Herb Cartridge, on sun and got it on Weds! (hows that for awesome service!) and wanted to mostly use it for flowers for at this time, but I read that 6v batteries were better to user than the 7.4 for flowers. I couldn't find any answers to my questions after all the time reading, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out.

I can't seem to find my 3.7v 18650 battery ( the long battery) to go into my persei so I can try and vape herbs with it, (even though it says on the D9V site that it will only get warm using it with 3.7v) so I was going to use the 6v batteries. but I also have a omicron V2 with the 14650 1000ma 3.7v batteries and wanted to know if I can use the hercules 7.4 oil and flower cartridge, on the v2 omicron with the 3.7 battery?

Also... will using a 3.7v 18650 battery with the persei, just make it warm and useless for herb vape? don't want to waste money on getting another battery if I don't need it.

When I the hercules, it didn't come with any instructions and also what voltages and stuff to do, so I looked at the forums for 3 hours before doing anything besides cleaning the parts in boiling water.

Glad to be back finally as well guys! :D

ok, so first well come back!

second, there are TWO versions of the herc. one is rated for 3.7, it only gets hot enough to vape (or combust) herbs. the other is rated for 7.4 is can vape oil, or combust herb at 7.4v with a 6v combo in the persei it gets closer to vape temp with less risk of burning.

third, iso wash delrin and boil metal. let dry (blowing thru the tanks speeds this) you may notice a few holes by the base of the cart. these will leek oil into the heater area, also the mouthpiece apparently will get hot enough to melt if run too long. both of these are being addressed and a new version is on it's way, ETA mid-Jan. for a temporary fix to the leeking (and to even out the hits), some people are using a bit of volcano sponge at the base of the heater to absorb and hold the oil, before it gets to the holes. so far all reports of this are of success. the mouthpiece melting is something i can only comment as a spectator on. i don't screw my mp down all the way, personally. i believe this might keep it from coming in contact with the top of the steel tank, which may in turn keep it from getting hot enough to melt. i did this originally as the delrin has a tendency to swell a little when warm and i found my mp getting stuck until it cooled. it seems this MAY have kept it from melting also? personally, this is the best flavor i have experienced so far w/ a portable oil pen. unmatched when comparing to the original carts, however they are NOT a tool for conservation. load about .2-.3 per tank each time, melt it down into the sponge b4 dropping it into the herc and you should be in for a good ride.

I cant find my fill tool so I just loaded my herc again. I know everyone will think its a stolen idea, but I think the tanks need a tip on the lids like the dart to make it easier while loading. Or even put a rim around the inside of the tank so we can use a dabber to load it by scraping that rim Just a thought. Even though I know the dart has it already.

EDIT: first herc rip of the day was a beast. I love this thing.

I am not using any volcano ss screens and i leave my tank lid on and my mouthpiece still melted. Its not the vss, its the fact that hot metal is touching plastic and plastic melts. I hope the new pieces are made of stainless or glass... that would be awesome.

My amazement quickly turned to disappointment. My herc caused my persei light to din then go out. I unscrew it and the light works fine. I hope Otis just the batteries. :(

We all have opinions, why can't mine be heard!

It's not so much having an opinion as how you express it perhaps? It fits in with trying to sell your gear here and before the required 50 posts, criticizing Moderator actions, not 'being nice' and so on.

You know, not following the rules you agreed to when you joined?

I hope you can get that under control, I sense you have contributions to make when you do......

Lol.... Wtf? ........

Sorry to have not been clear enough. From the forum rules, "No selling or soliciting items on the forum. The only exception is the Classifieds section, which is the only place on the forum you may mention items you may have for sale or trade. This includes messages in profiles, signatures, etc.' From the Classifieds' rules, "You must be an active member with at least 50 days membership, 50 posts, and 15 "likes" to sell in the Classifieds. Members who make low-content posts for the sake of increasing their post count may lose the privilege of using the Classifieds section."

Clear enough now?

FWIW I'm sure you'll like Cera a bit more. Some decisions are better than others. Best wishes,

I don't understand how they are melting. My mouthpiece doesn't even get warm. There is no need to hold the button for more than 30 secs IMO
