We love the Ultra and it makes a nice stealth outfit with the Dart, but the little batteries might not be the best for a family of four and friends at home. Does anyone use a Dart on an Ultramax with 17670 battery, and if so, what impression do you have of the combo?

You will get a longer life for the 17670 for sure, it packs about the same punch as the 14500, but holds a charge longer, and you have a slightly larger vape handle. AW IMR is best

yea, if batt life is the issue, you might want to step up to the 6v version of both the dart and battery supply. my two cents

So I'm planning on most likely purchasing the Ultra and LV Dart today, but I have I was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy standalone LV Evolution cartridges. That's what I would need to use on the Ultra if I wanted to try flowers, right?

Good stuff. I saw that, but I didn't think it would be compatible. I shot them an email asking about that now.

Another question; on the info for that conversion kit, what's the "Includes Evolution Interface w/ Switch (White)" talking about? What is this interface/switch?

And if anyone was wondering (as was I a few days ago) the THC stick v2 from Gentleman's Brand is 3.2v, so it seems it'd be compatible with LV Dart?

A little late to reply, but I wanted to agree with you 100% about the AWIMR14500. It may be the single only lithium battery I've found in years that actually provides more than the capacity it advertises. I just ordered one of the Alpha Ultras w/DART core that TET is selling from (dwindling) existing stock the other day. Though I love my UltraLite, the 10440 batteries just don't have enough capacity to be any fun. (Turns out to be too much like work dealing with a bag of batteries and subsequent recharging; I knew this going in, but the tiny size of the UltraLite fogged my brain).

Anyway, I had three brand new AW IMR14500s that Zeki sent me by mistake a month or so ago, that I hadn't gotten around to sending him back, (I actually wanted some more 10440s, not 14500s). When I ordered the Ultra, I took the unused 14500s back out of the mailer (see, sometimes procrastinating pays off), and ran them through a couple of charge/discharge cycles in anticipation of the Ultra arriving, and they are really outstanding cells!

You can safely charge them at up to 1.5A (that's 2.5C, 25 minutes from dead to full), and you can continuously discharge them safely up to 4.8A (that's 8C). They're LiMN chemistry, so no protection circuit is needed. I discharged them at a constant 1A (1.67C), and two of my cells provided more than the rated 600mAh (620 and 633) with the third providing 599mAh. Cell manufacturers typically rate the capacity of their cells at a 0.1C discharge rate, not at the higher discharge rates that we use, so I would expect a significantly lower actual capacity, not a greater one. The Tenergy RCR123A batteries barely provide 400mAh at a 1A discharge rate, and they're manufacturer rated at 750mAh. The IMR10440s are rated 350mAh, actual @ 1A discharge is 200mAh.

So these are really outstanding cells!

I also wanted to mention that the Alpha Ultra is MUCH smaller than the Cera. I want a mini Cera too, but since it's gonna be a year (if ever) before a mini Cera is born... The Ultra easily passes for an e-cig. It works well in combination with a Revo/DART head. It ain't gonna be around very much longer, and TET is selling the last stock for a song. The custom made aluminum case originally cost more than the whole kit costs now. If you've been vacillating about buying one, now is the time. (In fact, they may be out of battery chargers already, though that's an easy item to pick up elsewhere if TET is out of stock). Just a thought.

Probably. How well it deals with the high current demands and long times (heat) needed you'll have to decide on. The 8 or whatever second time out can be a PITA, too.

Hey, as far as I'm concerned it's never to late to agree with me......I thought you knew that?

In a somewhat more serious vein, I think you missed my favorite feature of these guys, low internal resistance. This makes the 'sag under load' the best available....meaning more raw power available to the load. Hard to argue with 'Longshoreman Logic'.

We used an LV Revolution on a couple of eGo-C Twists and results were poor much below 4.0v, but fine at 3.8-4.2v, where it happily performed until the recent acquisition of our Ultra/Dart combo. The cutout on the twist wasn't such a problem that technique couldn't overcome, but the low voltage on the THC stick may be.

Well it's a good thing I'm trying to order the Ultra/Dart now then! I initially was wondering about the THC stick/Dart combo because I didn't think I would be willing to spend the cash for the Ultra, but after browsing this thread, I decided I should pick it up before the supply dries up :).

On a side note, I'm trying to add the Ultra/Dart to my cart so I can check out, but a dialog box keeps popping up saying "==completed==". This was happening before, a couple days ago, but stopped for whatever reason. Any clue fellow FCers?

It's all good, I was able to place the order over the phone :D !! Seems it's just a bug with their online store. I cannot wait for this. Now to acquire some oil..

I believe I spoke to a Noah? I'm not sure though as there was some static when he first mentioned his name.

However, I suspect this is only the beginning...

FYI, they have a "few" left of each the Dart and the Ultra kits.

Okay, I have received my Ultra w/ Dart! I love the size! I imagine the UltraLite would be too small for me. Now I want to experience UltraMax! If it provides for more power and battery life as well.

However, in all this excitement there is something amiss! I have some concerns.. Hopefully the following pictures will help. I apologize for the lq photos (iPhone 3GS): http://imgur.com/a/jtVFw - Now was I supposed to get this protected AW or the AW IMR at 600 mAh? And those other 4 pics are illustrating what I think are dings or dents in the Rev cart? The last one you can kinda see how it's visible on the inside. Will this affect performance? I doubt it but I'm wondering.

This case is awesome though. Very solid. I just need a proper executive desk handcrafted of mahogany or walnut to set this right on top of. Also, I received my charger in a box, an Alpha manual and the Ultra body, battery and rev cart/dark/white tip, wrapped in some bubble. wrap. I'm not missing anything right? My bubble mailer had a tear/possible cut in it.

Also, does this tarnish at all? I didn't realize at first when people were providing those to links to just the Apex body that Apex is the actual manufacturer of the bodies and I saw a review saying this tarnished easily..

I am very excited to see how this thing works though. Forget that gentleman's brand thc stick! I do like the light though, haha. Anyone know where any Ultramax bodies can be bought? Found it at that houston ecig site. And what could I do or buy to get an AC power supply going for a LV Rev cartridge? I suppose TV could rewire a T1 power supply?

That's enough questions for the today, I think.
