I note one is a gas the other a liquid chromatography result.....not exactly cricket. I'm not sure I'd call it lying as much as misleading?

I agree, that doesn't look like '6% everything else' to me either.

OF

Agreed, not cricket at all. I'll jazz that part up a bit...

SC Labs is owned by Weed Maps and is the only facility able to post results to Weed Maps menus. I doubt they would survive if they gave poor results, the both of em! They should have at least picked something that looks 94% to slap that on. Misleading patients is not a good road to travel down if you ask me. Soon enough we will be seeing 105% THC 1/8ths selling for $200.

Elemental does the same bullshit, ever wonder why everything is a 20% or higher THC on their menu?

So, this BBK tests at a 15.05% THC, do we agree? Look on page two for the "Max Theoretical THC" and that is the number they use. Same reason MedMar has a 29% THC bud and same reason people say PureGold is 90-95%. They are basically posting THC-A%, not THC. I don't support (misleading patients.) liars....

Edit- that wax from revolution looks pretty garbage, no way it's 94%!

While I agree that the tests are misleading patients I think it's because of the way they are skewing the tests by grading on a curve so to speak with their thc levels. Not necessarily because they are including thc-a into their calculation of total cannbinoids, thc-a is thc it's just has an extra carboxyl molecule attached. As that sample aged or if it had been decarbed properly then tested we would see most of those thc-a cannabinoids convert to delta-9. When it's vaporized those thc-a cannabinoids decarb and volatize into the psychoactive delta9 thc laden vapor we all know and love.

hey so like a noob without following instructions i boiled my 5 omhs cartridges, dry fired the water out of them, filled one up with about .6 of wax and it was hitting good for about 5/6 hits and then it died. I pulled out my herc to try it the first time. the ceramic heater died. ive dry fired the other empty cartride just to take a peek if it lights up good and it seems to. the other one did before it died though. Have i fucked up gentlemen? I think i might try some oil in the other one tomorow or did i fuck the cartridges or something? should i try melting the wax back out of the cartridge that died?

After seeing that melted mouthpiece and reading about the off gassing of Delrin, I think it is time D9V label the herc as a safety hazard and pull it. Again, not to be a hater, but I am really not impressed with the lack of formal recall on the Herc. If I inhaled formaldehyde because I operated a product as intended by the manufacturer (a product which includes no documentation mind you) I would be in my doctor's office that same day and invoicing D9V for the copay the next.

It shows really poor form to continue to try and salvage a product that not only has functional defects but is also obviously in danger of hurting people. I get that a recall would represent a total loss in D9V's investment in the Herc from the original supplier, but I don't think that should matter anymore. Toyota was investigating reported accelerator sticking issues before and during the recent series of people dying all over the country from their gas pedals getting stuck to the floor. After like 20+ deaths including a highway patrol officer and his entire family, Toyota issued a recall. Too little too late, I will never buy another Toyota and am glad I sold the only one I've ever owned before those deaths occurred. Toyota could have issued a recall a lot sooner but they chose to look in to the matter quietly. Voluntary part updates are cheaper than all-out recalls. Toyota was attempting to go that route. People died and their market share suffered more than it would have if they had just recalled the part before people starting crashing in to things uncontrollably.

How are you going to feel if you check the forums in the morning and there is a post from SlideOrDie (or someone else) saying they threw up overnight...

I can understand your concern, anyone could. But there has only been 1 report of this issue, last night.
And G replied immediately, appropriately.

Lets let the dood at least sleep on it it b/4 we get out the torches and pitchforks.

after reading all about the Hercules I am one that hopes G can fix all the problems. One thing for sure folks if you are using products do to a medical condition you might want to be careful. We have to be aware that what goes in our lungs has to be safe. Maybe a warning label should be placed on products so folks with conditions not favorable can make informed decision.
I feel going to all glass like the bender is the best direction. Hopefully the seals etc are medical grade.
Looks like to many parts might be herc problem as u need to have tolerences so close. just my :2c:.
I have invested a lot like others in hopes of finding the best product. G always addresses problems but maybe in future they should look at making 50 prototypes and sending them out to beta testers and get all the bugs worked out before mass vapor production.

This THC % Percent Level is very subjective.
It's like TEASPOON Technology: If one is good 2 must be better!

so you would open the ticket now im assuming?

Yes, that's what I meant by "I would".

or did i fuck the cartridges or something? should i try melting the wax back out of the cartridge that died?

Yes you did....."or something". You're mixing up product lines. NEVER boil Omicron carts nor 'dry fie' 5 Ohm ones at 7.4 Volts for any reason.

I'm sorry, they are now trash. Recover what wax you can and stop doing that is my advice.

I can understand your concern, anyone could. But there has only been 1 report of this issue, last night.

I too am sure G is hard on it, but it's clearly not working and potentially dangerous. I agree with the OP, it's about time to put a halt to fiddling with these guys until it's sorted out. Safety first, no matter how much you want 'huge clouds'. And for sure we should not be encouraging each other, let alone innocents lurking here, to take unknown risks for entertainment.

This THC % Percent Level is very subjective.

Exactly!! Useful scientific data is never subjective......it's objective or useless. Or worse. This is 'potential THC', real world customers will never see it. It's probably an OK relative measure, but honest data useful for comparison shopping it's not.

Too bad so many are having trouble.
My Herc is awesome. I've hardly used any other vape or smoking method since it showed up.
I agree there could be some improvements though.
I'm with you when I had my HERCULES it was my main set-up.

G was encouraged to release this product by us consumers.
Unfortunately it was premature.
I don't think it is the end of the world that there were a few issues.
They will be corrected and I will wait for the revisions.
In the future this incidence will be a flash in the pan.
I believe the HERCULES experience will just make them a stronger better company.

DELTA NINE is a growing company in a very new industry much smaller than TOYOTA.
To compare them with a car manufacture is bit of a stretch?

Mid January is fine with me.
The carts are keeping me satisfied anyway!

Awesome deal here 4 me. Flower only. Now the point of using the hercules for flower...is to NOT reach temps which melt delrin...an inch away from the heater.

Lots of positive concentrate experience reported here. Don't see why u have to burn the mouthpiece off to vape oil.
The device is clearly sold for advanced users...

There would seem to be some easy fixes.

Ima keep using mine. Several times a day

You do flowers with the HERCULES?
I was having some fun with concentrates.
OK it's for medical reasons and I got a little off track!
When we are back on track I will try flowers.
For now the carts (2.4) for waxes.
My SOLO's for Flowers.

I don't understand how you would burn the mouth piece either?

If you inhale slow you don't transfer much heat and the top doesn't get that hot. But as you do longer, faster hits you can feel the bottom of the plastic top (where the plastic and metal meet) get hotter than the area at the bottom by the heater!

My herc has melted the same way.... but the end cap on the mouthpiece that holds the screen in place melted also. Smoking derlin is not fun. :(

G's already changing all the plastic bits to teflon, I just think it would be smart not to sell the delrin ones until the change has been made...

Careful, last word I had was they were being made in Delrin. I seriously doubt Teflon would work, it's not all that strong really and doesn't thread at all well.

Very important difference.

Edit: Yup, post 6552:

"The bottom insulator piece will be done on Monday my friend said, and we have ordered Delrin outer sleeve to start testing. soon as its here my guy will run it through his machine and figure out best production process and start on that."

G has recently stated that the replacement sleeve is going to be black teflon and posted pics as well. Let me try and find them really quick.

Edit: Found it. Post #7000

I am wondering if the melted Delrin mouthpieces are caused by Volcano screens holding the oil tanks too high in the sleeve and transfering heat to the mouthpieces?
