Yeah, I should probably just go for it, who knows, maybe somebody with oils will manifest in my reality because of it's existence... yeah... that's it... yeah... :brow:

It's really not that difficult to make your own bho. Definitely worth considering before nixing the eo cart. Based on how many videos tv has made showing the CEO and also considering how popular bho and waxes are becoming it really seems like the eo cart is the pride of the cera fleet.

Just my 2 cents

Its also somewhat dangerous and in many places VERY illegal. Not saying not to do it, just understand the whole situation before jumping right in.

EDIT- somewhat dangerous is an understatement, butane go BOOM sometimes

I've made it a few times, I just feel it's really hard to properly purge it without the right gear and don't want to spend the $ to get the proper equipment to purge, and would rather just avoid that whole scene since it is explosive. I have researched it quite extensively. I will make qwiso because it's safer, and pretty easy, I just don't always have the materials to spare to make a lot of oil at a time. It can vary, but I usually make really small batches. I also collect reclaim oil, and that stuff is potent, it just isn't as tasty as fresh. I am pretty picky about BHO these days. I have a friend in Cali that is one of those guys that only makes really pure medical oils, they are clear/amber like glass, but he's a bit too far away for any kind of regular connection right now.

If I don't get the EO cart now, I will probably end up ordering it later anyway, so I should just leave this one alone...

**did I see something about black O rings for the carts being an option??

Properly purged BHO, like a golden, see through fruit roll-up :D

I make both bho and QWISO and it is dangerous if not properly ventilated or not being cautious of open flames even sparks but if you have common sense it easy as 1 2 3. I made some bubble hash last night I got 3 grams of brown golden sicky resin made three 1 gram balls in containers waiting for the big day.

3 grams bubble hash
3 grams honey oil
2 grams QWISO / sativex mix
2 grams pressed kif
5 grams kif(crystal)
And a whole lot of bud.

I've been making some different products to medicate with for the big day, I can't wait to try my assortment of goodies the only problem is there all in front of me all the time, I think this is where self control comes into play I guess.

Well I could always make some more lol just for fun....

Here it is Jam

Also, we are including with every Cera a 12 pack of O-rings, including cartridge O-rings in Black Viton if you do not like the red (Black Si skinned Cera with Black Viton o-rings, running a 510 style drip-tip (instead of the top cap and ceramic mouthpiece) is a knockout IMHO, and in that set-up does not look like a sex toy. Now the Cera with full thermal condom, looks like a sex toy, could be a sex toy, probably will be a sex toy for someone. That's fine, as long as it help you have an effective alternative to smoking, any other way it can effectively satisfy you (or others, no judgment ;)) is just gravy IMO.

I asked this before but think it got missed, either that or my short term memory is getting worse... I have both the Ultrafire charger from TET as well as the Xtar charger both work fine for my other 18650 batteries, should they be ok to charge my TET made 18650? Sorry if this has been answered...

And sorry if this has been answered too, but can we put inside the Cera Li-ion battery instead Li-co battery ?

My understanding is it's OK, but not as good. You need more current to correctly charge the higher capacity battery. You'll get fuller charges and longer life with the recommended (or equal high current) charger.

Yes, some other ones should work OK. They have to be standard button tops. They need to be 'top of the line' generally, rated for 5 Amp continuous current or more. Poor internal resistance will rapidly heat lesser grades inside the insulating ceramic tube, cooking them to short life. No doubt suitable ones will be found.

OF, could you check the ohms on your EO cart? I'm curious about the power levels and my earlier question to TV got missed...

This waiting game is the worst form of torture, wish the titanium version would ship at the same time as the SS version...

I'm almost willing to pay extra to receive mine sooner if that's possible lol.

Actually, no I can't. Nor am I sure it's even the final value (the one that will ship). And I have no fixture to measure it like I do with 510 and m601 stuff. Tim determines that; since my attempts to calculate Power were about 20% under his with my first Herb cart they would not be useful here I think.

I'm told the intent is to use the same values for Herb and Oil carts. As Tim measures it, I believe that is 14 Watts? At least it was. I seriously doubt you were missed or ignored as much as there was no answer to give?

In the end it's also good to remember it's going to be a window, with "good" values being say 13 to 15 Watts, not all 14.0.

Sorry I can't be more precise than "probably about 14 Watts".

I'm almost willing to pay extra to receive mine sooner if that's possible lol.

"Almost willing"? Perhaps it's 'almost possible'?

Kidding aside, if you're looking for the Titanium version, I don't think those metal parts are even done yet? I'm sure they will ship them as soon as they possibly can. If, OTOH, you're offering to slip some cash to the maitre d to get an earlier table, I suspect those with reservations under the "first ordered, first shipped" deal might object?

Waiting is tough for sure, but I think we're safe in trusting TV to be as fast and fair as humanly possible. I expect them to keep the schedule and start shipping tomorrow and clear the back-orders as fast as possible. And I expect lost of pleased customers, not a crop of problems as sometimes happens.

That doesn't help the wait, of course. Good luck with that. IMO you'll be enjoying yours ASAP.

I'm selling my friend my T1 power supply and water pipe adapter. Using the cash to start a savings fund for this vape. No way around it.

HA! I knew he couldn't hold out!!! We shoulda made a pool out of when he'd cave......

Yer gonna love it, Brother DR, it's got 'you' written all over it. Fair warning, though, drop this one in the drink and it's sinking fast......

^^
OK, thanks for the info.

Great. Didn't know you were following DR, fun isn't it?

On the off chance you meant my post above that one, you're very welcome.

The Xtar has the option to charge at .5A and 1A (switch on side) so would the TET battery charge better set to 1A? I usually charge stuff using the .5A setting, just to be safe.

It has a chance, but needs to be tested. TV tested a lot of chargers before selecting the one they did, making it the only sure bet in town IMO.

Charging at less than "a 3 hour rate" is generally not advised if highest performance and longest life is the goal. Less is not always more here.

I get that they have picked a specific charger for their battery, but what is it about said charger that I am looking for here that makes it different from what I already have? What are the specs I am trying to meet so I know if my chargers are good enough?? I am already in this for a pretty nice chunk of change and would rather use what I already have if I can.

here are the specs for my Xtar WP2
Brand XTAR
Color Black
Cover Material ABS
Input 5V 1200mA
Output DC 4.2V 600mA
Charging Voltage 4.2V±1
Adapter Input 110V240V AC 50/60Hz
Adapter Output DC 5V 1200mA
Charging Current 600mA±10

Jam, if there was a simple answer to give, I'd give it.....

Off hand, looking at that list, I'd be concerned about the charge current, 600mA is too low to meet the 'under 3 hours' goal. Are you sure the .5/1.0 A switch you reported is output, not input? Like from the USB port in case it's a laptop.

"Good enough" is a real subjective measure, I'm having trouble with 'best' as it is. FWIW my WF-188 seems similar and TV replaced it with the new one when I got the Beta unit to test. Perhaps there's a clue there?

I wish I had more to offer, but I honestly don't.

Actually, Noah said here:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/thermovape-cera.7504/page-46#post-306329
That PILA chargers were the "best", and thus I would assume also acceptable.

Thanks NDA, more clues for the puzzle.

you are right, there is a USB port next to the switch, but it says "OUTPUT" under it. So I guess where I need the question to go then, will it charge my battery, even if it's not 100% the best choice out there to get under the 3 hour mark, will I be able to use the Xtar, and not mess up my battery? If you are unsure about this OF, I will forgive you...this time...:D maybe one of the TET guys can chime in on this one.

Yep, they're talking USB port output, not charger output. It's 600mA (or less) it seems there (where it counts).

If that's OK for you will have to remain your call, I've no free advice for your situation I'm afraid.

I believe that is for charging USB capable devices.

Actually it seems like a input rating, the changer is powered by a USB port, there'd be no reason to have a USB charge port on it.
