Salutations,

If it's going to be found by archeologists of the future then perhaps it would be a good idea for the customer to have it marked in a personalized manner, before it enters history... So that both the artifact and its owner become immortalized for the benefit of many civilizations to come!

:2c:

Too bad no battery will last that long!!

If humans continue like this, there will be no more planet when they come !.... the indestructible Ceras will hover in infinite space ! (don't we vaporize a bit too much ?!!! )

Salutations LeTchen,

...don't we vaporize a bit too much ?!!!

Soon - But NOT yet!! ;)

Vaporizers don't have astronomical life cycles, not even their potential owners actually!...

:p

Anyway, i'm seriously thinking some form of "mod" might become popular, eventually. Although that would be most likely happen to be some costly feature to implement, especially if the markings are to be made as durable as the unit itself... But considering it's not cheap it would only make sense to me in any case, as it's not like buying a disposable Bic lighter, etc., after all.

Moreover, isn't the unit now field-serviceable up to the heater coil?... Who wouldn't be tempted to ask for their initials to be engraved into the sleek body of this beautiful object under such conditions?!

ADDENDUM:

OKay, i've just blown a couple. Imagine the scenario for a promotional multi-media document!

The ThermoVAPE has been engraved with a religious sign but the audience will understand that only after the video is over. In the begining we see an hospital room with a bed, a chair and somebody near the window taking the vaporizer up and that's when we see that religious sign and then we understand it was in a medicinal context but the video is over...

:peace:

I'm sorry but that seems a bit odd, if your only complaint against e-waste is that its more garbage in a landfill I can share that my out of warranty Dart LV is just as much garbage in a landfill. I don't think you can just throw a T1 or a Cera in a recycling bin can you? The recycling staff would probably just put it in the "other" pile that they throw away in a landfill.

E-waste is bad because 3rd world countries burn the chips to sell the metals imo... but I think that's mainly computer motherboads and big electronics. Something the size of a vaporizer is going to end up in a landfill whether it has tiny electronics in it or not...

In a perfect world, the Cera would be 100% recyclable. It isn't, but I applaud TET for the philosophy and the thought put into making it as "green" as they have.

I for one feel the lack of tech in the Cera is one of it's strongest points and why I am so attracted to them. I love my other vapes for what they are, but know deep down I will be either sending them in for repair/replacement at some point, or simply not being able to use them at all (like all my old e cig gear). None of that stuff is really meant to last much longer than the battery sealed within, that can not be replaced.

TET has captured both function and form with their devices IMO. Granted there were some issues with the T1 line not working well for everyone, part of the growing process, which has led up to our current situation with the improved Cera model.

I am actually hoping this device will be good enough to make me want to get rid of (sell) most of my other vapes that don't stand up to the challenge of longevity like this one should (esp. if they build a mini size for stealth). I couldn't be more pleased with the notion of very few parts to malfunction and nothing to really throw away (aside from batteries), for many years to come. That was what attracted me to the T1 line, the fact it was built to last, little could go wrong with it, and you can replace the battery. I am actually a bit surprised at the sudden about face with the T1 line since I had not even had mine a full year, but very happy with the resulting turn around, in how they are now building these vapes.

I like this aspect of it too, but I just wanted to defend the reliability of digital electronics, I mean we upgrade phones and computers but your old ones still work just fine right? Mine do...

You replace these things because of drastic performance improvements more than failure, and in that respect I think the oil Cera has got it right, what's to improve? But if a better LL heater core comes out in a year or so... I guess you send the old one back for recycling?

You get 15 minutes extra battery time than the Persei , i am wondering what other benefits this might have over that? gonna get one of them but which one? the extra cart costs $40 more with the Cera , so that is 1-1.

Great video, I noticed you briefly mentioned warm up times for very cold conditions, would the CEO work well in >0°f conditions. Gotta take the dog for a walk, even when its -10°f.

I was conflicted about purchasing this unit as well. Then I sat down late one night, solo in hand (or should I say Han Solo) and I watched the Star Wars Trilogy...after the scenes with Yoda, I learned to control my force...let it direct my hand to my wallet, to my credit card...to the shopping cart at Thermovape.

That's how I decided anyways.

Edit: Now I understand why my wife prefers I don't stay up late watching television. :science:

You want comparisons between the herb in the persei herc and the Cera loose leaf?

Cera is resistant to combustion and I believe with the herc you have to feather the button to prevent combustion. The herc does both oils and herb but does oil better. The Cera loose leaf was made for herb with a separate cart for oils. I just feel you get the best performance when 1 cart is dedicated to 1 thing. Sure it might sound nice to have 1 thing that does everything but how well / easy does it do everything is the question. Do you have to stir with the herc? Cera LL does not need stirring. Convection with the Cera LL compared to the hammer which the herb is touching with the herc. The Cera LL is pretty straight forward. Each company has their fans and they will only buy products from 1 company even if there is another company that may have a superior product.

I've used the T1 (herb) after it was left out in those temps all night and it took around 45 seconds for the device to reach temp. As long as the batteries work the device should just take extra long to reach temp.

Thanks PB , so are you saying the herc therefore the Persei does oils better than the Cera, and the Cera does loose leaf or herbs better?

I was just talking about herb in that post not oil. If you want my thoughts on oil real quick I think that they both blow out good size clouds. Cera has the easier loading part down and looks like no leaks and no clogs. I say Cera has the +1 on both oils and herb right. The persei attachments are still being worked on so I'm sure their products will get better.

We have very little user reviews about the Cera oil cart, but it looks almost ridiculously good imo (I have a persei)

I think this is where you misread, he was saying the herc does oils better than it does herb, not that the herc does oil better than the cera.

TET,

Nice video (kudos to Anthony). CERA seems to have a pretty wide 'performance bandwidth'. That is, the CEO seems capable of satisfying a pretty wide audience ( ie from strict MMJ patient to the milky way?). Looking forward to the release.

I wonder if you can get away with e-juice in the essential oil cartridge once in a while? I like smoking the non nicotine, but not often enough to buy a $100 cart for it.

Lets keep talk of other companies vapes in their threads.

Nothing really compares to our EO core, imagine the taste of a DART but the density of a Dab. :) For all you dabers getting a Cera, your lungs will thank you!

Cheers,
Tim
