We have been around since 06' and primarily sold wholesale to retailers. In late 2011 we decided to go consumer direct, and in early 2012 we launched jetwaterpipes.com

So, to get to the point, you can use any 14mm GonG attachment or hook any vape to it through the 14mm GonG downstem. The JET's design ,function, and production methods are like nothing else on the market. We are not glass blowers, but rather have engineering and machining backgrounds. Using C.N.C. machines we are able to achieve dimensions and tolerances that glass blowers cannot. When we designed the JET we used computational fluid dynamics which allows to break down every aspect of a software model in how it will react with a fluid, air, and pressure. This enabled us to achieve mathematically and geometrically perfect bubble formation, which is key to filtration and smoothness. This design allows us to achieve as many bubbles as possible, while keeping them as small as possible, with the highest surface area per bubble possible. This also allows for the bubbles to not meld together ensuring that they will stay in contact with water for the longest amount of time possible. The diagram included helps to illustrate this point.

We are not knocking on glass whatsoever and know that most everyone prefers glass which is why the stem accepts any 14mm GonG attachments, or vape fittings! The JET is also damn near indestructible and guaranteed for life. The JET is composed of the finest and highest quality materials available. The base, cyclone filter, mouthpiece, and carbslide are composed of acetal, which is an engineering thermoplastic used for prototyping. We chose Acetal because of its excellent dimensional stability, ease to work with, and how safe it is. The tube is composed of BPA -free polycarbonate which was chosen for it's incredible strength, aesthetic, ease to work with, and safety. The stem, diffuser, and included bowl is T6-6061 aircraft grade aluminum that is type III hardcoat ceramically anodized at the molecular level to keep the aluminum inert(safe) and incredibly heat resistant.
We are releasing a new attachment for the JET very soon, before x-mas. They are stackable diffusers. We designed a new diffuser with 56 percolation holes and will take the JET from 49 perc to 320+ perc! Yes I said that right, 320+ percolators!
If anyone has any questions or anything please don't hesitate to ask, we love feedback! I also have plenty of reviews, and unbiased user reviews available so don't take my word for it, find out for yourself why we are "The worlds most revolutionary waterpipe!"

A few Q's:
1 - what materials are used in the construction of a JET?
2 - is is safe to use ISO to clean it (and keep the ISO for later use)?
3 - Are there any special cleaning requirements?
4 - How do you determine the "X chambers" equivalency for the perc?
I figure the 5x is almost double the diffusion of the 3x, but how did you arrive at the 3x figure?

The JET looks nice, I checked it out probably about 6 months or so ago when I heard about it on the joe rogan podcast (I just saw the death squad banner on your site ) but it didn't jump out at me as a must have piece.
Either my opinions have changed, or your prices have dropped a bit since then, because for $210ish, this looks like a pretty nice piece.
EDIT:
This needs a video now! Very interesting.
If you go to their homepage (http://www.jetwaterpipes.com/index.php) there are 3 vids, a durability test, an arty stacking vid, and a milk shot vid

BTW, I know it isn't made out of glass per se, but this would probably be better suited to the glass section :2c:

I answered what the JET is made of in the first post. The JET is dishwasher safe, and all the components unscrew so it's really easy to clean and takes no time at all. We suggest only using isopropyl for the JET. We figured out the equivalency running cfd's on my old glass waterpipe, and then comparing it to the JET.
It's easy to overlook the JET in terms of looks, but the JET shines in smoothness and overall function, not to mention its guaranteed for life! We have had alot of custys tell us they shelved their roors, Illadelphias, etc. for the JET because of how much smoother and the over all function of the JET compares! That's not me saying that, it's our customers! So we aren't bad mouthing any of those companies. Thought I'd share that, cause it's a hell of a compliment to receive!
Let us know if you have any further questions, we love feedback! Should I post in the glass thread too? Can I just copy and paste my first post in there, or is that bad form?

Great Scott!
Ehhhh the more I read this is not my thing, but I LOVE the idea. It probably also helps me say this because I am 100% broke and can no longer be looking at nice/new things.

by core i'm assuming you mean the cyclone filter, which is acetal

Well I gotta tell ya, I promise you the JET will be the smoothest waterpipe you have ever tried or own. We don't have any vids of the JET with a vape. You could be the first! Please ask questions if you have any, we love feedback!

This looks nice! I wonder if this can work with the Cloud (needs 18mm female for this). With stackable percs and valve it rivals the Devastator. Also being indestructible and for half the price? Winwin. If the intake was not angled (so it would be stable with big heavy vape like Cloud connected) and 18mm it would be very good piece for the Cloud imo. Even if it wasn't 18mm, maybe it would be better to use some reduction here.

Agreed, 18mm joint, 90 degree with a wide clearance from the tube to accommodate a variety of vapes.

189$ for a waterpipe designed with computational fluid dynamics for mathematically and geometrically perfect rips, and guaranteed for life! Sounds like a great lifetime investment, especially since customers routinely tell us they shelf their 500$+ waterpipes for the JET!

$189, I thought I saw a different price. I'll take a second look :)

The diffusion looks pretty good, but it's a little chuggy in the third video. Is the water level intentionally high?

I think most vaporists would love this with 0 degrees angled intake. Most vapes used with pipes are desktops, mostly big and heavy. The pipe can be indestructible, but vapes are usually fragile and pricier than this pipe. I would even be scared to use angled adapter to remove the angle, as it could rotate in theaxis under heavinedd of the vape and geteven double the angle, tipping over itself certainly, if notbreaking the vape, then at least flooding it with water => breaking it anyway.
Imagine fiting the Cloud vape into it. It needs zero angle no compromise. And also some space. I would love to see the base elliptic (precisely i mean more like egg) with higher radius at the intake, so it would not tip over with heavy vape attached. THAT would be ultimate vape-friendly pipe and I would be getting one as soon as I had the actual Cloud. I don't care tht much if it's 18 or 14 mm, straight reduction is safe.
Also vapes usually like smaller pieces. As it'S not like fill it with milk and clear but more like filter, where lot of vapor goes through.

I see that the "Short" version is 17.75". Do you have any plans to make a shorter version? I usually prefer smaller pieces for vapor.

Not at the moment. The volume of the tube is very important, it's actually the average volume of a humans lung capacity, so you get perfect rips everytime! We have had people tell us the JET is perfect for vaping and they wouldnt trade anything for it! When I tried it (with a vape) I couldnt believe how much I got w/o so much as a cough!

Actually we have the normal amount of water in that vid. It looks like too much water because of how high the stacks are!

Quantum, it sounds like your best shot at getting additional business from the members and non/members of this site is to get one of your tubes into the hands of one of the long-time standing members here and/or a mod. If they write up a positive review, THAT will have more of an impact than anything you could say here and will more than pay for the cost of the tube that you'll provide.

Just a thought............

Which tube is the same volume, the long or the short version? Also, I'm fairly certain that vapor expands when it is inhaled, meaning you'd want less for an equivalent volume upon expansion.

Which vape(s) did you use with it?

Definitely agree with this. Someone who can compare it to a variety of pieces who has experience in vapor.

That counts for smoking. Smoke stack in high chimney so it can be inhaled at once then.
Vapors are different. It doesnt burn in few seconds, you need to hit it for a minute minimum (super convection vapes) to get it all. Too much volume makes it difficult to finish a bowl in few hits as there is too much air to begin with in each hit.
Also too much volume to clear at end of each hit is somewhat undesirable with vapes.
The SHORT tube looks vape-friendly volume-wise to me. ;)
[dream]
I wish so much for a vape friendly version. With a SHORT tube, (optionally?) without bowl, (optionally?) with 14->18mm.
And a base shaped like this:
*rough sketch*
5odt80.png

This would accept every vape. And most of the vapes would even fit directly without any worries. :ko:
*vape like a futuristic boss*

I don't know if this is even possible (CNC?), but I'm worried the Cloud and other bigger vapes which are great for waterpipes won't fit or makes it unstable.
