Yeah, I am using a standard wand. And I should have explained further:

What I do is remove the whip from the wand; then shove the small end of the chopstick in the whip end of the wand, all the way up to the screen; and then push the screen out of the bowl. Usually the screen flips to the side like a door, but it's easy to then remove with something pokey.

I understood that... and some chopsticks are not tapered (but rather "blunt cut" at the eating end).. so I gave the folks an alternative, as paintbrushes ALways are tapered... and yes, I remove screen from the back in the manner described in the manual as well~

Hi , i've heard of some uk customers having problems with voltage using the SSV, is this still the case if you bought a uk adaptor (is it slightly different voltage although it says the same on the adaptors?) i had an email from vape world saying quote " the Silver Surfer has caused trouble in the past for our friends in the UK. I have known of a couple units which became defective due to the incompatible voltage "

Well, I've had my SSV for almost a year now and I still love it as much as the day I got it!

I love the way it produces big, thick, vapor clouds!

The SSV is definitely my everyday "go to" vape.


I'm now in the process of deciding on a portable vape to use when I'm "out & about".

I have a Vapor Genie that was my very first vape, but I just do not like using flame at all!

So, after doing my due dilligence, I'm about 99% sure I'm gonna get the Inhalater XP right after Christmas.

The PAX looks a little more stealthy, but I have heard too many stories of it being very "finicky" to use.

So after reading up on it (and watching videos by Vito and others), I really like the way the INH performs, and the big clouds it produces!

Right now I am about 80% combustion-free, but after I get the INH I will be about 99% combustion-free!

I love being able to say "FUCK COMBUSTION!!"

Not to f up your almost made mind but i think they released a new version of the pax which doesnt have the mouthpiece problem...... i am with ya though buddy the pax/inh was probably gonna be my next herb portable but then i saw Cera..... who does everthing and looks good doin it too....lol

The ssv does totally though. My power went out a bunch of times this weekend including being out when i got home from work on fri and while my mflb and persei get the job done its just not the same as my :ssv: i am thinking about getting a converter and a car battery to keep in my garage as a back up generator for my ssv no joke though

The last 2 months have been a huge awakening for me. i have combusted for the last 20 years (holy crap!). My main weapon of choice was a bong i picked up in college around '97. when i met my wife 7 years ago, she was a joint/pipe smoker, so the pipe has become a mainstay, though ive always hated the pipe. Recently, i got turned onto vaping and this forum has been immensely helpful (I FC) and enlightening. SInce, Ive managed to acquire a SSV and a PAX (both are nice, but i am really enjoying the SSV) and now i primarily vape ~90% of the time. I havent set foot inside a 'headshop' for a LONG time (nor have i even done a google search!?) and seeing all the different pieces and accessories etc. that are available these days is amazing. Id would LOVE to get a piece of some sort, but having a kid now, it isnt practical for me to have a piece of glass out or one that is even accessible.

This morning, when i checked in with work and found out i wasn't going to be working today (really sucky) i busted my old bong out. I turned on the SSV and removed the mouthpiece from the whip and inserted it into the glass stem of my old piece, and thankfully, it stayed in place well. i got all set a ripped it through the water and it was amazing! SO clean and smooth, i am digging it!

Why am i telling you all this you ask? Because i am totally off my rocker a the moment and excited and loving the SSV and really loving the water filtration.

So really its a THANK YOU to FC and its members, and to the SSV and its fans for what ya'll dropped on me! I think i may have to find that new glass piece.

I would LOVE to get a piece of some sort, but having a kid now, it isnt practical for me to have a piece of glass out or one that is even accessible.

I pretty much only vape thru water filtration now a days unless i am out of the house. I keep all my glass, vapes, and meds in my garage, in a cupboard out of reach from the 3 small terrorists my wife calls children

And, now that I'm kinda thinking of getting a new 'toy', what are some of YOUR favorite pieces for H2O filtration for the SSV?

I don't use filtration because I find I need more hands then I have. The SSV is about all I can handle and I have the ground glass whip and wand which for me is perfect. It still takes two hands when laying down so no accidents. I like things easy and am always in bed so using a water tool would be hard. I am wanting something like PV said they were going to make if my mind has it correct. It is suppose to be small and inline. In my head it is like 2 inches and spill proof but we will see. If that is true I can use it laying down and all is good with the world. I need to leave but have you been on the cheap glass thread? You will find a lot of reasonable pieces that seem to be nice. We have a lot of glass pros on here.

I think the aqua vape is an inline water filter like your describing. I know flskwat likes it for his ssv the best of all his water tools and he has quite a nice collection imo.


Mendo i have mostly used my fritter with the ssv and i love it. High diffusion so its smooth if i am cloud chasing or dabbing but low water levels still gives me great flavor. My leviathan FC lattice bub should be in this week ill let ya know how they stack up. So far in my ssv i like a piece that has a decent volume and low drag. I love the low drag on my ssv and so perfer low drag water tools to keep that advantage. The nice thing about the ssv is the unrestrcted draw really fires the percs on pieces compared to some of the vids i see of something like a solo or pax where where they are using a sweet mobious to vape thru but it only fires on one slit so you might as well be using a tube with a diffused downstem imo.

Hello to all! I have had an Extreme Q for about two years now. I love it, only use the whip and feel it gives really thick hits of vapor. But I am interested in the SSV and DBV. I have heard those are the way to go for whip hits. Anyone out there have experience hitting all three? Would love to hear about your opinions on which works the best. Had I not been interested in the bag feature i might have gone to the SSV but the bag drew me into the extreme Q and I only ever use the whip. Thank you to all! Rastafari bless

That was one I was thinking of but wanted to see what pv came up with. I was hoping something smaller if that is even possible. That thing seems to be about 6" but I couldn't find anywhere with specs last time I looked and just took a quick look now but it doesn't say. I will say I am not good at finding stuff.

I can tell you what Vito told me on the exact question. The Q does it all but is a master of none, the dbv and ssv are basically the same but the ssv is more customizable. Also the ssv has a different angle so you don't spill any herb and an open front. Now he can correct me if I got it wrong. From how I understood it the ssv and dbv give the same output of vape.

Thank you very much Dreamerr! So for my next purchase if i wanted the best whip on the market spare no expense the SSV would be the way to go. Thank you very much! I will look into that. I get great hits off of my extreme Q so i am excited about the possibility of something better!

The ssv is supposed to have a bit denser vapor i have not tried both to compare myself but one or both of the holes in the heat cover of the ssv is supposed to be a bit smaller then a dbv's giving a higher vapor to air ratio

So when it comes to the SSV and DBV we are talking about very minute details. I just want to try each just to see how they compare to the elbow pack on my extreme Q. I hate the bag system. Just not worth it to me. When i first started on the Q the bag was ez but now the whip just gives such a dense hit and tastes so good! I also have the NO2 as my on the go model and think it does a good job! Much better than my freinds Iolite.
