Not really claiming it as an issue. Just think it would be nice to have a solution come in the box, rather than having to rig something up.

I would not count on that happening. Mine has half a gram in it and is living on it's side when not in my hand. The oil is absorbed into the sponge like ceramic reservoir (full of pores). Same as a damp sponge i the sink doesn't run dry as the water runs down the drain, the oil, even when liquid, stays in it's pore until it evaporates off. There just isn't a whole drop of liquid anywhere to drain anywhere.

'Store it anywhere you'd like, and in any position' will become the rule I think.

thanks for that info OF.

i know. i just really love the dart. the loading tool built into the top was pure genius. it makes for very easy vaping IMO.

I liked the Dart too but I noticed a severe performance decline. And the fact that the Cera uses the same "ceramic sponge" concept, albeit a larger ceramic material, makes me worry that the Cera will have a "useful life" and after a year or so it will be unable to be cleaned well enough to bring back its initial performance...

I think a stainless-core oil vape makes more sense in the long term but I can't argue with the cera's oil performance, I just hope they significantly improved the useful life of the ceramic...

i have a question ( i hope i didn't miss it but i probably did).... i have been watching the LL videos today and i notice that when he takes a few second "break" he turns the unit off on the bottom. since the unit has the "slide safety switch" couldn's a user use that to turn the unit off in between hits or "breaks" or does it have to be the bottom switch?? not that it matters... i was just curious

You can use either switch, they are wired in series.

So i can't get a Cera to do both leaf and oils? isn't there a part you change so you can do both?, surely missing a trick there.

It's a modular platform you just buy different cores and swap em out

thanks for that info OF.

You've quite welcome, glad to help

cart? do you mean buy all 3 at $750 (not interested) , or do u mean something else?

No, that would be 3 units. You buy one unit, your choice, then additional carts for herb, oil or e juice depending for $100 each as you please. $450 for all three systems sharing a common battery.

I see it now thanks, that does seem VERY steep $100, now that gets up to $395 with an ickle oil cartridge (and battery, charging kit)

Also did i read pre orders were missing out on something that the later buyers would get? i forget and can't find what.

So, OF what do you reckon so far? Can the Cera be the one vaporizer for home and out for someone who needs a one "perfect" vape?

Sorry if this was already covered, but what is the size of the cera? I've just looked at their site and can't seem to find the dimensions.

Just get the oil or flower cera and the other cart:
$250 + $100

You probably don't want juice too

you are forgetting a battery (or two) a battery charger, a car charger (if needed)... even without the car charger we're still talking more than $350

size dimensions are indeed on the site:

mod note: Please do not make back-to-back posts. Used the Edit feature.

On their front page, if you click on the 'view details' under the tech specs it bring you to here: http://thermovape.com/feature which gives the dimensions.

EDIT: HOLY, lol..... everyone is so helpful AND FAST

If you have a persei or a 18650 IMR or other good quality battery I would imagine the performance is similar. An IMR wouldn't last as long, but if you have more than one it seems like a viable solution to me...

Hey, if it seems too steep to you, don't buy it. That's how the system works.

Consider you could also buy a Persei and Hercules cart for that same $300, or with a Bender for $400, or both for $500 I guess. $100 more than Cera? The bender is somewhat a subjective call IMO. It's a serious producer some guys might favor over Cera for herbs, but IMO when it comes to oil there's no serious comparison to be drawn, at least not yet.

I'm not sure what better deal to follow you're referring to, I recall hearing of no such thing. Nor would it be at all in keeping for TV to do, that would be basically penalizing early adopters.....not their style at all if you've been watching them.

Anyway, if it's too much money for you, I'm sorry. IMO it's a great value, really. It is a 'no compromises' machine made of the absolute best materials available for the specific task.

Your call.

So, OF what do you reckon so far? Can the Cera be the one vaporizer for home and out for someone who needs a one "perfect" vape?

Yes. I think it has 'both bases' well covered, better than any other single vape I can think of off hand. It's not going to be good for huge groups (needs to cool off some.....) but aside from that it's a force to be reckoned with IMO. Just because you don't have to plug it in to use it doesn't mean it needs it to perform well.

Then again, I think that was part of the design goals.

If you have a persei or a 18650 IMR or other good quality battery I would imagine the performance is similar. An IMR wouldn't last as long, but if you have more than one it seems like a viable solution to me...

Good point, most guys have 18650s and chargers which is why I think they sell it without. Easy enough, add in the $30 battery (really worth it IMO, it's a top performer) and the $20 charger (a little faster and higher output it seems than others) and call it $300 for the base unit. Against Persei and Hercules it's a push then. Until you turn them on at least.

lol.... once I get video confirmation on that liquid core, and selecting everything in Ti, I'm looking at over $1000 usd for everything I want.

Gots to pay to play, and more so with what appears to be a damn fine quality device ;)

I ordered one TET battery, and also have 2x the Orbtronic 18650s to use for now, that should be sufficient, I hope.

I looked up the Orbtronic specs online this was what I found... do these look good enough?

I appreciate the honest info, I did get the feeling like the flower Cera wasn't the giant-killer that the oil Cera was, more of an ultimate way to stretch your supply (small bowl efficiency?)

It's interesting the the Bender is a better producer, but I'm still tempted by the control of the pwm Inhalator...

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
@OF I think I remember early in this thread what the guy was talking about. It had to do with the wrap on the batteries if my mind is working. It wasn't anything that mattered. I think it was something like you will have a plain wrapper where as after pre-orders they will have the reg ugly wrapper. All the same really. Now I want to know if my memory held up...:hmm:

Jam is that another language...well it is to me:rofl:

The panasonic ncr18650a's are great batteries, I put their big brother (3400mah ncr18650b) in my Pax and it's been chugging along just fine

The max discharge is more than six amps and I think the Cera only uses about half that, pretty safe IMO

My friends call me "Menz"
here is a basic breakdown as i see it for the stainless steel model:

Cera body (LL, EO, or EL cart) (required): $249.99
At least one battery (for most people that will be required): $24.99
Battery Charger (again for most people this is required): $19.98

Total: $294.96

Optional parts but for some people this will be required:
Extra spare battery: $24.99
Car Charger: $4.99

Total: $29.98

and for the people looking to add a cart (LL, EO, EL) and this is not required unless you need both carts
LL, EO, EL cart; $99.00

all of the above total: $424.93

so the least the average user will spend is $294.96 and if the user wants the extras we are talking at least $400
