We're here to fuck shit up.
So, I understand that 7th Floor produces the SSV, the LSV, and the DBV so maybe I'm nit picking here. I received my fatty vapor tamer and a clear vapor tamer mouthpiece that I ordered directly from the LSV website. Today I receive what I ordered, but there are DBV logos plastered on the side of these items. What the fuck? I didn't order from the DBV website. Not only that, but I never received any responses at all to any of the emails I sent them. This company may make a decent product, but what the hell is going on over there? Is everyone stoned out of their minds all damn day? I've never dealt with such poor customer service before. Kids with a lemonade stand have better customer service than this.

I would imagine that a lot of the parts fit the various vapes that they make and are interchangeable but I understand why one would want all of the product that works with their particular vape have the logo of that particular vape. May not be very cost effective for them to do that, however.

Exact same thing happened to me. My "LSV" vapor tamer has a fat SSV logo on the side. However, the mouthpiece I ordered has an LSV logo. Apart from the logo, the vapor tamer is identical to the LSV one, so I don't consider it worth the effort to send it back. It also took 3 business days just to process the order and I don't like waiting.

It's unusual they haven't responded to your emails; I haven't used customer service for a few months, but when I did, I got a reply within 24 hrs, oftentimes less. My dealings with 7th floor in the past have been very favorable, unfortunately you haven't had the same experience. My theory is that their business has expanded beyond their managerial skills; I'm guessing they're either understaffed and/or disorganized.

As for the coil, it's the best glass investment I've made...cools the vapor more effectively than a $350 bong with an ashcatcher. And a FYI for everyone with a vapor tamer: the EQ elbow screens work very well

@lwien, removing the logos from all glassware would solve this problem, as well as lower the cost of manufacturing.

They could just use a 7th Floor logo on everything and be done with it. The tamer works well with a bubbler. I have to try it attached straight to the LSV and see how that works out. I'll have to look into those EQ elbow screens. Thanks for the tip. I just picked up some Bubba Kush and some Blue Dream so I don't even care about the logos or the customer service right now. The LSV works so damn well that it makes me forget about the other nonsense.

That's me! Sometimes when fiddling with a new vape I get frustrated and just turn on the LSV. It's easier to mess with the new ones after a few good rips!

How's that bubba kush? I just got something from my guy who said is it was either bubba or platinum kush. So I'm digging it, just don't know which one it is!

I loves me some Bubba Kush. It's one of my favorite strains for sure. I actually haven't tried any of this batch yet. I tried a small nug of some Purple Kush that was given to me on the arm. I haven't had a chance to get into the new stuff, but I will be getting into it in a little bit because I'm just about to sit down and eat.

lwien knows what a big hit is!

lwien...what vapes have you hit other than the PD?

Ion, DBV, MFLB, VapoStar, Iolite, Genie.

I never hit the Buddha thru water.

The LSV is just so much fun to use and hitting it thru water was not only cloudy, but man..........the taste. I remember going from the Genie to the PD. I was amazed at how much better the PD tasted. Kinda the same thing going from the PD to the LSV, but not quite as extreme.

It's just the DRASTIC difference in air flow, taste, and size of hit going from 4 years straight just using the PD..............to the LSV.

I can really see how ones consumption can go up with this thing. Not because it isn't efficient. It is. I can load up a PD stems worth and get just as high on that amount thru the LSV as I did thru the PD, but with that small amount, I liked the PD experience better. But load up 2 PD stems worth in the LSV, and it's a whole new ballgame.

This is why i keep my DBV although i use it sparingly. Hope to update to LSV someday too. :freak:

If you think the lsv tastes good through water, then you should try the vapor tamer. I thought it was a gimmick until I bought one, but I've never had vapor taste as good :D

I second this. I am very impressed with the flavor through the ice cold vapor tamer.

Is the vapor tastier than dry or almost as tasty but more easy on the throat? Something like the best of water and dry, the smoothness with the taste.

I like to hit my vapor through very warm water. Cooling it further isn't something that I really like to do. I'm basing this on using either very warm water or ice cubes in my beaker. Doesn't the tamer just cool the vapor much like ice cubes do?

I'd say it's tastier than dry, plus it's way smoother than hooking it up to a waterpipe. First time I used it, I couldn't even tell I was getting a hit, except for the taste of delicious durban poison filling my mouth. It's just like breathing very tasty weed air, no irritation on the throat or lungs at all. I believe taste is better than a waterpipe because you are essentially sipping on the tamer, rather than roasting the whole bowl to milk up a pipe, which creates the popcorn flavor.

I think the vapor tamer cools more than ice, however warm water probably adds the most moisture. I'm guessing the smaller (and more restrictive) diameter of the coil is why it does so.

The Tamer cools the vapor plenty, and in a better way... You get all the vapor and THC by-products into you!
When you use water AND ice... or even cold water, you lose oils.
I look inside the bong after a cold water hit, and I see little globs of white matter, that when touched are sticky.... they are condensation of vapor.. formed into solid balls of goo... that belong inside of me, and not on the walls of (or floating in the water of) a bong.

Is this an endorsement of warm water hits?

I do not like to use water at all.
I think warm water also holds back some oils, but allows them to float rather than adhere to walls.
I would use warm water before I chose cold.
I think this is more of a rejection of cold water hits!
(I do understand that some folks prefer filtration for ease on the lungs etc.. I just am not one of them~)

So, it is like Lwien said, about the same as the ice cubes in terms of feeling and effects?

Without having to actually resort to ice cubes and a bong, of course. ;)

It is my feeling that I get more medicated, and faster when I use no water. (It also tastes and smells better to me).
When I compare the feeling between cold and warm water.. the medicating effects feel the same to me.
I just psychologically do not like seeing oils gobbed on the walls of my glass, so if using water, I tend towards warm.

I am a proponent of no water hits, too. But I use a little 19mm Male to 19mm Female glass piece. I put a screen in it and put my WPA in that. That helps filter some of the particles that through the wpa screen. Then I pull the stem out of my beaker and just put the M-F piece into my beaker packed with ice.

Our new LSV arrived today and me and Mrs PoopMachine unpacked it with great delight. Like the Cloud, the LSV is a piece of art. I was blown away at all the stuff we got with the Black Friday deal. We got the bag, the LSV, the transfer wand, a fatty bowl, pick, Dime Bag storage bag, stash jar and ash tray for just a tad over $200.00.

So far we're digging it. Still playing with temps and Im already thinking of suggestions to make to 7th Floor about improving the unit for bong usage. Its great as is but the loose heater cover makes me a little nervous.

Thanks, 7th Floor. Mrs Poopmachine approves!

So my LSV is getting here tomorrow instead of today. The wait!!! Ah!!

I can't wait to join your ranks soon. I don't expect this to be all that different than the SSV, just simpler to use and a spherical joint rather than a standard GonG joint, which will be exciting. Too many good herbs to put through it as well.

Also, Hey Vitolo! It's nice to see a friendly face from GC vape section around here =]. Globs of oil would psychologically effect me as well, which is why I use room temp to warm water, cold is no bueno. I still love water in general though, especially in a piece with good flow. Such thick vapor! I think I'll like using the LSV dry more than I liked the SSV dry though, whips aren't for me. I like glass.

It's not possible to use one of the Tamers without the whip right? cheaply anyway.

@PoopMachine, thats the package I got!

You just need a way to attach the hose to it; a $15 vape adapter will do the trick (I think 7th floor might even sell these). Or you could probably just jam the hose in the end of the male joint
