My buddys cloud just made a snap noise and is now dead. Was just sitting there with a green light one minute, and the next its off. I hope the warranty process is quick for his sake, hes back to the Q for the time being.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

Out of curiosity, how long had he had it? As we're seeing more and more reports of units dying I'm wondering how old they are.

Was ordered on 09/17 and received on 09/24. I was very fond of this cloud, it has many good memories for me. It was the new style with the non flared bottom and it did not tick. This was the cloud that got me through Superstorm Sandy, may it rest in peace.

I had no idea there was a new model (don't read the forums much anymore since there is no TappaTalk).
What are the differences between the original one (like I have) with the flared bottom and ticks versus the 'new' one that doesn't have a flared bottom and doesn't tick?

Same here jbp ... my Cloud is used daily (unless I'm out of town and can't bring it for whatever reason), and it never lets me down. Solid, high quality, satisfying, perfect vapor every single time. I like my temps between 1:00 and 2:00 depending on what I'm vaping but my Cloud can't come close to combusting even full out (either one of my two Clouds actually as they are about the same)

I just got my replacement Cloud after my first one died (almost 10 months old) and I have to say, I'm a fan of the majority of changes on this newer model. I love the lip on the joint making it a cinch to remove the ELBs. There were some times with my previous Cloud that I destroyed an ELB trying to pry it out. I also like that my bamboo seems stuck in place and has significantly more clearance at the bottom. My previous bamboo slid around a bit and was just barely off the table the Cloud stood on. The lack of ticking I like now. It took me a bit to get used to and I stay more aware of the time now to avoid the auto shutoff. I used to just listen for the clicking to stop and then I'd go hit the switch to reset. But I do like that I don't have a loud clicking in the background of any TV show I'm trying to watch or conversation I'm trying to have. Overall some great changes.

The only thing I'm not a fan of is the lower maximum temp. The new Cloud on max gives me about the same ABV I used to get around 1:30-2. It's not a big deal; hell, it may even be healthier.

And I have to rave about VXL's customer service! Easiest exchange and they proved to me that they really care about MMJ patients. Thanks a lot SliM, SM, and crew!

Lip on the joint? Never heard of that. Sound cool. Pics or didn't happen.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to explain this: on my old Cloud, the ELB would sit perfectly flush with the joint and to take it out I would have to force my fingernail between the ELB and the joint. On the new Cloud, the edge of the joint is a bit rounded or angled so that there's a slight gap between the joint and ELB making it much easier to remove.

1. How long is the guarantee on the Cloud? (sorry can't find it)

Bad news at the end.

1. Currently one year.
2. If it dies itself, not if you break it. I think they warranty both VXCs and flaws in HTs.
3. vapexhale.com is the only place (excluding classifields etc). But you have to wait for EU 220V units to get out possibly in early 2013. With some e-mail you can get 110V without warranty, I wouldn't risk it.

1 year is entirely reasonable for such a new product, especially with such a relatively small coy as Vapexhale.

And while it may be expensive as a vape, it's not all too expensive in the world of tech...
I'm guessing most peeps with a cloud own a TV (and/) or a computer that cost 2-3 (or more) times as much as the cloud, and they probably have that same 1 year warranty...

But probably the main thing is just to look at how VXC handle their customer service - I can only recall 1 issue where the member posting wasn't satisfied with the outcome, but that whole situation seemed... Less than ordinary...

Some people can honestly say to themselves "I am a pretty clumsy person who tends to break things, and I get more clumsy after getting high"

For these people, the vapexhale cloud might not be right for you. Otherwise, it is the winner :-)

I just got the email that my Cloud/HT hit USPS Sorting on Friday. So I guess 3 -5 business days shipping from that. I've been anxiously waiting since ordering on Nov 21. Last exam this week :science:

It might be too cold where your Cloud is. This happened to me before I decided to turn on the heat in the house.

It was 70 degrees when I tried getting it going! I just don't know what could have possibly made this unit stop working :\
