Can you REALLY taste/smell the metal? You either have some really sensitive senses there mate or you are confusing it with a side-effect of your unique vaping "scenario". That's also the reason I don't really agree with Vito on the taste aspect as after many comparative sessions I have come to the conclusion it all depends on the temp, amount of load, way of packing and technique of inhaling. The taste of the INH as well as the Solo can range from horrible to heavenly depending on all these factors and also if there is a bubbler/bong involved in the process and what kind of bubbler/bong that is and how it's utilized. So many factors...
I've had situations where I used cheap screens and other times where a screen may have been cleaned and used too many times - either way they can taste like shit!

Alright guys I can order my solo this second but am still skeptical about the air flow restriction and do I need screens? I could go get a few of those but I can't get a PVhes bc my card can't be charged Out of country atm. So I'll be mostly vape bonging and I have a 14mm to 18mm adapt that I'll put the stem in and connect to my glass but can talk help me out here? Trying to totally fuck combustion nd switch but idk if the solo is worth 150
I agree with Vito, Solo is worth it, especially at the new price. If you are worried about air flow you can make an improved stem on your own with a Dremel if you have access to one. Otherwise, slow puffs or sips get you where you wanna be.
Edit: This unit produces fat clouds...you just can't rip hard on it, so if that is your style, you might be a bit taken aback by the tighter air flow of the original stem.

I use 1/2" stainless steel screens in my solo stems. You will get good performance from your solo, I started with that as my first real portable vape and it works. You will find in time though you may want to get a better stem. not as much, you can use a cotton qtip damp with alcohol to swab out the inside of the wood stem, but you don't want to soak it. Then you can just let the cotton dry completely and then vape the cotton with the oil on it. Best to use organic cotton if you can.

Same here on the screens, they are the same size as iolite screens. I found the extreme Q screens to be too large and they krinkled when i pushed them into the solo stems. For a little better draw on the stock stems you can just raise them a little as you draw. Otherwise just sip lightly.
Dude. Its TOTALLY worth $150. I have been a desktop vaper for years but finally purchased a solo a few months ago and it has almost changed my life.
Since ordering one, I have so far ordered 3 for friends who immediately go "i want that"

I didn't need another vape when I bought mine. Now it is my bedtime vape that I use after I medicate with the Cloud. It perfect at the end of the day to soothe my back and allow me to sleep. It's THAT powerful. I still need to upgrade my stems

I use the solo most of the time as I like to move around alot. However, I hit the UD before bed - that mother f@cker knocks me out!
What is a UD?
