How does the cera handle thermal shock from hot to cold? Also the deflector inside looks like it's doing a great job catching excess, I'm sure you could put that top cap in the fridge and scrape off that oil and put it right back in. Really considering this one especially to replace my darts and future xp (possibly) haven't even gotten the inh004xp and already jealous of this cutie cera! One more question, is it possible to leave the bottom button depressed(on) and use the side safty switch to cycle on and off instead? I noticed Noah was using his pinky on the bottom switch, but looked a bit awkward.
By the way haha these plate and glass destruction is really scaring the nerd in me. You have an expensive looking test area, got some big kahunas to let flying plate or stella glass around your moniters, cameras, external drives, iphones, etc! Maybe a side test site (outside?) to try to wail on cera? At least an ally out of the way.. (I do not condone violence though
) And Thermovape please let OF's family go, how much more testing could there be? Well besides the crazy things like drop tests, or that dreaded test.. what if I am vaping in the car on the highway with the window cracked, hit a slight bump and the cera goes flying out the window! But really you guys she looks perfect.

as to freezing and scraping the top. iirc, in one of the videos he showed the top,
had some oil on it, and just wiped away w/ a tissue. i don't think freezing will be necessary!

point being that it wipes away clean. and by looks of impact damage this thing could take, i probably would feel more than comfortable taking a razor to it.Ahh a tissue! Oil is precious over here
also, organic cotton is great for such things, especially if you have a cano' or other vape that can heat the cotton without burning and vape the reclaimed oil out of it.

I have read and re-read and google searched and then used logic and made an account, so hello everyone. This "Cera" seems to be quite the impressive product and I am working my way toward convincing myself to purchase it. With spending $300+ I have a few concerns. Most of which were resolved upon reading posts by Noah and OF, very good work both of you, yet one remains. Portable vapes are alluring because of their portability, much of which I enjoy in my car. With this comes the question of "can I charge my unit while using it", as running out of charge in ones vehicle is upsetting. I do not believe it is currently possible to do so with the Cera but a stray comment on the topic may have slipped through the cracks. If possible could someone directly answer my question as I have already read what reading there is.

I don't believe it's an available option (yet), however..... for the price of an additional battery & the car charger adapter offered I don't see too much of an issue. Besides.... I wldn't want to rely on owning only 'one' battery anyways personally.

Thanks for the quick responses! Looks like I'm ordering with an extra battery and will stay alert in regards to the ac charger. A question for those who have ordered, or Noah, is the discussed model with a removable safety pin available? If so where do make the specification as I see no way to do so on the order screen.

I've often wondered about using the loose leaf thermovape for tobacco. Anyone out there vape tobacco in the loose leaf? How does it compare to e-liquid? Also curious about the vapor and if there is a smell with it. I've seen e-liquids out there with tobacco alkaloids. It seems loose leaf convection would have these alkaloids in them.

I have the T1 for about a year its kept me pretty happy except for the resistance on the draw, like its really an effort when taking a hit. How does this one compare in regards to the draw? I was considering the Pax until i stumbled upon this baby. Also, what are the advantages in getting the titanium one compared to the stainless steel? Is it only a matter of durability? $500! :-o

Naw, cut to the chase, Cera vs Ming Vase....
IMO it's improved, but not I think in as straightforward a way as you'd think? "Fully choked flow" (ie honking on it for all you're worth) give about the same flow rate. However, just pulling on it is definitely freer feeling to me. Like sucking thought a bigger bore tube easier if you follow. At the 'gently sipping' they again feel similar to me.
However, and this is the important part I think, the draw with Cera doesn't get harder and harder over time until you clean it. Debris doesn't get up into the mouth piece to you because of the four right angle turn filter built into the top. You get the effect of a hole without much restriction and it can't plug (self cleaning).
SS is cheaper, but also much heavier. The unit I have is like 12 ounces, the Ti one is 8 as I understand it. A can of beer against a 8 ounce styrofoam cup of coffee weight wise. Purists and plain old bragging rights shouldn't be discounted, either.

im now envisioning a new mouthpiece for the EO cart. just like the current MP but with a "dart" built onto it to return the climbing oils. just like the dart, but ceramic. may make loading the EO cart easier as well...?

OF since I have never used the T1 can you compare the draw with one of the vapes I own please? The solo which I know you borrowed from a friend was the hardest to draw for me. I had extremely clogged sinuses at the time now they are just back to normally clogged and it was giving me a huge headache. That is my main concern. I need O2 in this little brain and can't have stuff preventing it hence the short draws.

Sorry, the meeting got rained out, literally. I should be getting the loan of the Solo early next week.
I gave some thought to this the other day, how to measure it? Not an easy thing to do in any meaningful way I could see. We could do something like sucking up a couple of straws to model pressure, but the volume part is alluding me right now.
In the end maybe we could come up with some sort of useful ratings to our own standard. Like rating a vape draw as being like say '10 inches of standard vinyl aquarium tube'? If you wanted to compare it to what you'd be fighting against with a different vape you'd use a 6 inch piece of the same tube? I'm not even sure that's possible.

I don't want to call out other vapes I don't own so let's try this. I had asked the other day with no answer if Noah or Anthony, I don't know who is in the video, was taking straight draws or using a draw like a cigarette. That would be drawing into the mouth and then inhaling. If that is the type of draw you need to do then it would be restrictive to a high degree IMO. The vapes with the so called cigar draw is not a good vape for me. I never smoked a cigar so I have to compare to ciggs.
Edit: I am again not calling out other vapes but I would think a good comparison for a scale would be pax being most restrictive and ssv being the least. If someone has a better scale that is kewl. Even though I haven't used the pax from the descriptions I have a real good idea how the draw is. Some of the posts explain it so well.
