Discontinued The Inhalater INH004 Phytotherapeutic Rechargeable Portable Vaporizer

I would never travel with the INH it smells to much to me. Something in it holds the odor. Now the new cera if it lives up to it's name or the solo are perfect for travel cause they can be cleaned easily and no plastic/silicone or the other stuff they use.

Might actually be less likely to be asked about something of that nature... might be good for the other model(s) out there that are getting compared to pleasure devices too. I can see carrying it around in a bag if if checked how embarrassed with the security person be to see that and mistake it for what it looks like. Probably better off than them thinking it's some kind of "smoking" tool.

I forget the movie but there was a scene where someone had to have their bag checked for terrorist bombs because it had "suspicious humming", and the TSA agent said they occasionally find something but like 99% of the time it was because a vibrator got accidentally switched on

What to take away: As long as your vape doesn't vibrate or buzz you're good to go

I can't decide whether to get myself an inhalator xp, or a thermovape cera for christmas. I currently have a Thermovape T1 and am very happy with its performance in general. It has a few issues, largely heat, battery life, and the unreliability of the switch. The cera seems to fix all these to an extent, but the battery life is still far from some of the other portables out there. I have a few questions about the inhalator, as I have heard many great things.

What is the battery life like? How long does a full recharge take?
How much loose leaf can it hold? Does it need to be packed?
Can you take a few hits, leave it for a while, and then turn it back on and come back to it without losing much?
Does it get hot to hold at all?
Can it be used whilst plugged in?
How many hits can you generally get from a single bowl?

Information on the XP seems scarce, but if anybody knows any specifics, what exactly will be improved?

I can't see how can the INH smell at all if you wipe the inside of the chamber with some ISO every few days or so... There is nothing else to smell if you keep the mouthpiece also clean.

This thread isn't really that big and all of your questions have been answered. I would suggest searching this thread.

What about down below the screen? Vapor sneaks in everywhere :o

NF you just got it wait. If the cap is on it isn't bad and I do clean it when needed but mostly only needs to have a straw put down and suck out any pieces that may have fallen. There is only so much iso you can use before dripping it down into the electronics. I am sure there is resin everywhere. It got used a lot and that is even with not being able to do back to back sessions which I suppose is a plus since I do vape a lot. Speaking of which time for more. I will come back later and tell you about my fight with my INH today. My INH has a brain and tortures me on purpose. Story to follow for your entertainment of course.

The screen is easily removable to clean it and wipe the white delrin below with a lightly damp cotton swab. There shouldn't be any more build up inside the air holes IMO... The resin walls of the chamber need a good scrubbing with the swag every couple of days, otherwise they do build up and you can see the vapor coming out of the top if you leave the mouthpiece out and fire it up. My friend who got his INH first hadn't cleaned it for a month or more until I cleaned it for him and the vapor resin on the walls was burnt where the polyimide touched the heating coil. Wouldn't clean no matter how much I scrubbed, you could could see vapor coming out all the time when mp off and the taste was worst than mine. So my point is that it just needs a more thorough cleaning. To paraphrase here, a clean INH is a happy INH! :p My INH while still new, emits vapor when it needs cleaning. After that nothing comes out.
Dreamerr, I wouldn't worry about the electronics... I don't think there is any connection between them and the chamber. I would love a drawing from the makers of how the air-path looks so we can be sure of course... Can't wait for your story.

PS. Has anyone noticed that sometimes when you dial down the temp, the light blinks slowly for a while, then stabilises and then the heat stops while the light stays on. I need to power off and on again to reset the heater... Has it been mentioned before?

I am going to eat dinner but will tell you the story but first let me answer your question and your point. I do clean it and yes if it is dirty it will emit vape. I still say it holds smell.

As far as your question, the light blinks as you said and stabilizes very quickly. Why are you turning it off it takes two seconds but you don't even have to wait just keep vaping. It should be a fast blink not slow however. When it is solid it is at temp it won't blink again till you draw.

But it stops heating... :( And when I dial down it blinks slowly until it stabilises, when I raise the temp it blinks fast.

That sounds normal cept for the slow and then it should go steady. Not heating isn't good and never heard anyone on here complain about that. Also I complained about the INH smelling since day one. If you look all the way back to I believe Aug when the INH was brand new and factory clean I said I will not use it as a going out portable because of the smell. I changed my mind very shortly after but that was only cause I like it so much. My car reeks.

So the funny story cause I am controlled by a vaporizer. I never had an issue with the dial cause leaving it on after a session allowed it to be carried without it magically turning on and burning up my stash. Now as you just read it has been a while since I got it. I eventually made a neoprene sleeve which was originally meant to be a full body cover but it was a PITA so I folded it in and it works great as extra padding to hold and doubled to cover the knob so it won't move. It is almost impossible since would have to twist the neoprene and it would have to twist the know off then back on which is the normal state of my INH. I do occasionally turn it off as I did today since I was taking hits between stops.

OK you got the background. This is like the third time in two weeks, which would make it all the times I left the house that the silly thing turned on and I started to smell herb. As I said it is almost impossible to turn the know with the neoprene I just tried it and nothing. You have to squeeze it to get it to turn. So needless to say INH 3 me zero.

Now what went through my mind is really the funny part. I think the INH has a brain and is forcing me to vape. It only turns on when I forget to medicate or I really need it. It is the strangest thing. So there is your story enjoy or not. It amuses me but the INH might stay home next time and I will give some love to the DV. DV your up Tues get ready:)

Edit on your issue: Let me just say this is the way it is suppose to work so you can compare. Turn it on to whatever number. It will blink slowly and as it gets hotter it blinks faster and faster. When it is to full temp it will stay solid.

I would do that but try and charge it again and see what happens. You seem to have the first failed heater at least here. We had one that overheated but that is it. Some of us have a dim light which is why we can't reheat till we cool it down. Maybe it is that but you didn't say the light was dim.

Check out the INH name in my sig NF

Nope, no dim light here and no failed heater. It seems more like a software bug that triggers when you dial down the temp. Maybe 10-20% of the times.

I'll see how it goes for some days so I can have a better idea of the issue. Then I'll check with PV.

I can't decide whether to get myself an inhalator xp, or a thermovape cera for christmas. I currently have a Thermovape T1 and am very happy with its performance in general. I'm in the same situation here!

I opted the get the INH004 XP right now and wait for the Cera until they put a complete kit together and lower the price a bit. I love my T1 a lot but the Cera sure look promising!

Ugobo they said the cera price will not go down so get what you want. The cera is no electronics so it is a different product then the INH. I might get it but will wait a long time since I want to see what all say. The heat would have been a deal breaker for me but with the silicone sleeve it will solve it. I don't know you can get the full package with two batteries for I think 309 or something close. The INH is around 230. It is a difference but to me it would be well which one will I be happier with cause the difference is big but not huge.

Did the price of the T1 droped a few months after it's release? I'm just hoping that the Cera will be a huge hit and that TET will be able to lower the price a bit. I'm not expecting a huge difference in price though. And like you,i'm more interested since they annonced the silicone sleeve. I'm not a big fan of white ceramic...

Well it is a company and in normal circumstances you would be correct, but they said the profit margin was small as I understood it. I could have read to much into it. You may want to wait for the INH05 so you will have a manual stick shift cera and a fully electronic INH with digital temp and all. Then you will have both sides of the spectrum with two really good devices.

NF I also meant to tell you that the vape for some reason coming from the INH smells more like weed according to my smell testers then my other vapes. Other vapes of course you can smell but you have to figure out what the smell is. It isn't a straight up smoking a joint smell. Again this is according to my smell testers. Since I am the one vaping I don't smell it unless it is heating as most similar type vapes smell when they heat. I wish they can somehow stop that. I hate that smell. Kinda like when you pre-heat your oven and it has that yucky smell or electronic smell. I will say because of maybe no herb that the solo and ssv don't do that. The INH and the DV are horrible on heat up.

 Sorry folks, but I am moving along from the INH for now. Just want to say, this has nothing at all to do with the device, as I really like the performance of the INH, I just have to make some choices right now. I will be watching as the XP comes out, and may end up with one of those down the line. I am glad I got to see the abilities of the great little portable vape, but for now I must bid adieu. Much love to all of the INHaholics... I'll be around other threads.

How did the inh perform vs your other portable vapes JAM????
Cera is a nice alternative, based on the cera vidz does she seem to perform better than the inh004 on the herbs part????
