I meant the regular GonG from PV

Wanna trade? LOL

I like how tight it fits for the most part. I'd actually feel comfortable slipping a Solo in my coat pocket with this PVHES GonG, something I'd never do with any of my other glass stems. But even after a week of use it still takes some doing to get it inserted.

I just wanted to thank PV for being great with me ordering the INH, a Santa Cruz 4pc medium Shredder and some INH and Solo screens as well as the amazing Boveda Humidipaks. The package arrived in just a week from Canada (?!?!) and the Doritos were also amazing! :p The don't carry that taste (cheese) here in Greece... :D

As a side note, the fine Inhalater screens are a tad smaller than they should be so they don't stay put easily and fall off... I will instead use them only for topping the load in the mouthpiece.

I have had a few orders with PV and they have always been fast and friendly! So nice to have a shop like this available in Canada...a real perk getting my itch scratched in a day, rather than a week or two! Chips are nice as well :D

PV you rock!!! just got back from lunch and found a small air package on my desk and sure enough it's my PVHES GonG and a bag of Doritos with french writing on it (never seen that before). Can't wait to get home to test it out!!!

But you guys seem to get all the good flavours

For the record, I don't really prefer Doritos either. It's great that they come free from PV and they make a nice munchie while trying PV gear out, but Doritos have always smelled like barf to me.

seriously, i don't know if it's lack of GMO or what, but i fuckin' hate doritos and most processed foods for that matter, but those canucks can make a tasty dorito

Ordered a bent shorty turbo and a shorty straight. I'm usually the lone smoker in my abode, so I can happily get myself a nice high with little product. I am looking forward to trying both.

Got my PVHES last night in the mail, here is my quick initial impressions of the straight turbo. I really like the improvement in airflow. The stock solo stem always made me feel like I was out of breath, which was dampening the experience. Easily worth the money, and I appreciate their FC discount.

My only criticism with the order is the fact that the box was fairly large compared to the actual product. I do think that the Doritos bag is a very thoughtful touch, but how much does all that extra dimension add to the shipping charge? I'm still very happy overall, if I need vape related products in the future I know where I'm looking first.

The extra dimensions don't add anything to the shipping charge. Up to a certain size/weight, the cost is the same Xpress Post (within Canada anyways)--at least that's my experience.

PVHES GonG + Solo + my favorite bub = :D

Great job, PV.

is there a trick??? i have my new PVHES GonG and i have run two bowls through it and so far i am not as impressed as just using the stock straight stem.

1) i have a slightly loose fit so i am often worried when i lift it out of my bubbler the GonG is going to stay in the bubbler

2) i can not milk my bubbler with it. with the stock stem i can without issue. i have tried slow draws and hard draws and neither is really good. almost feels like too much airflow

3) bowls are very uneven cooking. i pull it out to look and the end closest to the SS is cooked very dark brown while the flower at the screen end is still green

4) because of the above issue bowls do not last anywhere near as long as the stock straight stem in my bubbler.

so far.... not as impresses as i hoped i would be as this is my first PVHES anything

No tricks for me. It sounds like maybe your stem is too loose and letting in too much cool air?

What temp are you using, mmenzie? I was getting nice 2% milk as low as setting 4 (after the bowl warmed up).

Mine seems looser than any of my other stems, too. However I don't understand why the looseness of the bowl would have an impact on leaving the GonG in the bubbler if you were lifting it off to clear. Could you clarify?

I wish I could give you the secret tip I used to get success, but mine has worked idiot-proof for me so far. Sorry you're having less fortunate results.

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
oooh straights are back in stock?

For two minutes maybe. I just checked and all out again. Straight reg and turbo.:cuss:

I will, when I have time, call and give my full order and tell them to hold it till they have everything. They must be real small cause stuff stays in stock for like five minutes.

since i always have used 6 or 7 with the stock straight stem i started with that one but on my second test i started with 4 just to see if it made a difference but it didn't. and what i meant was about the looseness is this.... with my stock straight stem since it fits in the solo tighter, when i have the solo upside down and in the bubbler i can lift up on the solo and it will take the stem with it and i can clear the can. the new GonG is looser so when i lift up on the solo the GonG stays in the bubbler and i have to lift it out as well to clear the can or i have to hold the solo with a finger on the GonG when i lift to clear. i have NEVER had to stir with my stock stem and always got even cooking of my ABV as well.

Gotcha... I always lift by the stem to clear, so that's why I was confused.

Have you had any luck yet or did you give up?

Menz, try taking of the cap from the Solo after a session, while it's hot, and press the teflon ring, with the Solo upside down, on a table top. That will flatten the ring a bit and the stem will get tight in there. If you need to loosen it again just wiggle the stem while in the bowl and it will open up again. You can do this anytime...

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Has anyone tried the ECWTA on the bub joined to a Solo Stealth Adapter so as to keep the Solo upright and allow the preheat to rise up and permeate the herb before drawing ? This would also allow the ECWTA to be used to clear the bub.

EDIT: I had never thought to try this route, and of course now that I'm interested in trying it the Stealth Adapter is out of stock :argh:

ECWTA - Did I miss this acronym?
