I got my pax yesterday and I got two full bowls out of it straight out if the box before the battery died.

I'm in uk, so I needed an adapter. Plugged everything in and all I get is a flashing orange light!

I think it's faulty. I got mine from vapeworld and shipping was very expensive. Does anyone know what the issue is or if there is a DIY fix?

PS loved what I got to try of it yesterday!

EDIT: I think I need a step-down converter... Feel lucky the thing didn't blow. Don't know anything about electrical converting.

So I clean my Pax this morning, have my box all ready for the return and call the post office. They tell me that my label is no longer valid since it was printed yesterday and needed to be shipped yesterday. So I am now left with my squeaky clean Pax and an invalid return shipping label. Stupid post office.

Is it meant to be for me and my Temp Lighted Pax?

has anyone noticed that when you pack a fresh oven full, take a couple of drags from it, turn it off, let it cool completely, come back to it turn it on and find that it feels like you lost out on lots of good vapor even if you stir it or not, as opposed to vaping the whole oven from start to finish... is it me, am i doing something wrong, or is this normal?

I've posted several times on this point. You aren't doing anything wrong, it's the nature of the beast.

The terpenoids responsible for flavour are volatile and vapourize at low temperatures, even lower than the standby mode for the Pax. Because the Pax is a conduction vapourizer (pay attention, TheDude) it is always heating the load when it is turned on. Some of the terpenoids are lost before it even gets to full temperature for the first time. Constant heating means constant vapourization even when you're not hitting the Pax. The end result is that you are indeed losing out on good vapour, although exactly how much is not easy to determine. What is clear is that turning it off and back on later compounds the problem, since you are putting the load through a second warmup.

Part of that, I think, is that it isn't as "fresh." The same concept that is true for leftovers. They're just rarely as good as when they were hot on the plate.

There's lots of meals that taste better as leftovers. Stew and chili come to mind, as well as almost any tomato-based dish. It doesn't work in this case, however. As I explained, you're right that the load really isn't as fresh.

That is bullshit. I printed my return shipping label days before I shipped my Pax back to Ploom.

They told me that because the date on the label 11/26/12, it would be invalid. I gave her the USPS tracking number and she said you can get a refund for this label but would need a new one. Should I send it out anyway when my mailman comes this morning with the label? (Post office lady said DONT send it out)

I didnt believe that they have 1 day expiring labels either. I use fedex and ups though. I hate the post office with a passion. (Long lines, and confusing)

Flavour definitely is not the PAXs strong suit, but the taste on low setting is pretty nice I find; I usually try to at least drain it on low first, before I tuck it away if I can. That being said, I kind of enjoy the flavour of the PAX overall...not as nice as out of a convection vape, but for me, it really does feel like I am smoking a J, which is enjoyable.

Me, personally? I ship it out. I've never heard of an expired prepaid mailing label. The worst that happens is that it makes its way back to you.

Chan, when I got my Pax that is exactly what happened. I do have an advantage over you, I am in the states so the process was pretty easy and quick. Ploom asked me to send in my whole unit including the charger and they came back with that the unit was fine but I got a bad charger. So, within a day, I had my original Pax shipping back and they shipped me a new charger. I would suggest to you to contact Ploom Customer Service through their Chat and explain what has happened and ask for a new charger. Depending on how you acquired your Pax; meaning which web site, dealer, or Ploom you purchased it from contact them and let them know what happened. Good Luck

Sorry, I didn't see you got it from Vapeworld....Seeing that they are an authorized dealer you can contact both of them but in my opinion, I would contact Ploom and let them know what you experienced and ask for a new charger.

I just gave the taped up white box to the mailman. Its raining, soon to be snowing and I am now without a Pax. I feel empty inside.

I'm sure you will be fine, if I remember correctly, I printed my label out when I got the e-mail but didn't get to the post office until a couple days later. Everything worked out fine.

I'm sorry you are without Pax, hang in there. :(

I ship stuff from home all the time, and sometimes do have a label that is from a day or two before, and never had an issue except one time , walking into a PO to drop a package I labeled the night before, the lady said the same thing, but still took it from me. In that instance, either a different P.O. or what you chose to do is valid way to go around the one person trying to stick it to you. Maybe they are not supposed to accept predated postage, but I have yet to have a package go out that I labeled the day before, that didn't make it's destination. Did you save the tracking number from the label so you can keep up with it's journey back??

I have the tracking number and hopefully it tracks. (USPS usually never works for me when it comes to tracking). The postage was paid for it said 5.04 or something like that. I think its absurd if I get the package back. Our mailman is a real nice guy and told me to put more tape on the box so it would not be a sponge when he got back to the post office. I am now just playing the waiting game.

Good luck, tracking can take a bit of time to activate, probably later in the evening. I sent out a package yesterday that took until almost midnight to show up in the tracking que... it should be fine.

I am a bit worried about withdrawal. I was a heavy blunt smoker but ever since I bought Pax I cant touch them dutches. (Nor do I want to) Joints I feel taste like looseleaf paper, and my RAW papers I clipped halfway through and didnt want anymore. (Still a bit of paper taste) My glass pipe broke ages ago so I dont know what to do. I am just gonna have to wing it and see what happens. Im playing the tolerance game with myself today. LOL

I've read if you order from Ploom your shipping for repair returns are free. So if you cant seem to fix it try just returning your Pax to vapeworld for your money back, order the pax from Ploom and if anymore issues happen you can fix it for no price. Just a thought.

The post office who is losing money or so they say have nerve. A label that is paid for should be good no matter when you send it. They should have made billions on all those darn political snail mail we got this year yet they said they lost money. What a scam the post office is.

Hey guys. I've had my PAX for a couple of weeks. I do clean it as instructed by Ploom. Recently my mouthpiece has had some issues. It would just pop right off lately or take a while to pop up. Well today I cleaned it, turned it off etc. Later today I go to turn it on and it wont pop up. Doesn't even click. So eventuallly I got the plastic mouthpiece off but the steel mouth piece stem is still in what do I do?

Have you tried warming it up like with a hair dryer or something? The most common reason for it to get stuck is resin getting all sticky and funking things up... Though in your case you may have a bigger problem. Worth a shot though.

For those who have returned to ploom for a replacement, what was the turnaround time like? I just dropped mine at the PO this morning.
