Randy a third battery issue today with another solo m106. I hope we can find out if the lights are error messages and what is going on with there batteries? I would hate to see the new one go even if it is a few months.

Placetime: Get your own elephant, it took us years to train her to use a trampoline :p

Dreamerr: The current version of the Solos have a surprisingly low rate of returns but it is always a good idea to buy from a seller that makes returns as easy as possible like www.PuffItUp.com :)
Shameless plugs aside, we have documented a few of the beeps and codes we have encountered but it is nothing official. I hope your replacement is getting a lot of use :)

It is getting plenty. I am trying hard to run it down. I will report after the weekend and then hope no more failures in the future. I am glad to hear that the failure rate is low. If it is just my luck that is fine.

To be fair my M106 you're referring to was bought back in early April, so a completely different batch than the other 2 with battery issues.

Considering how many Solo's PIU has probably sold, its probably a small percentage of battery issues.

Mine did flash the idle light and temp 1-3 but only once when I plugged it into the charger, the rest of the time it would just flash idle and temp 7.

The Solo is long gone now, should be at PIU sometime Saturday, and won't be long after I get my new one to put to good use.

I will admit PIU did make it very easy and smooth for the warranty, its one of those things you hate to use but if you need it, its there through a reputable vendor.

I do hope that the new batch is trouble free, I hate having no backup vape and hoping the new unit will be here before I leave town on Wednesday.

So far so good with the new unit. The battery seems way better. I am going to post the amount of stems on the solo thread. I didn't let it totally die as per vapeNstone just in case he is right. I am sure I read somewhere in a solo post or on there website that it can't be discharged beyond 40% but better safe then sorry.

Forgot to post an update! Wonder why that is...

I ordered in the early afternoon, it was shipped out the same day, and was in my hands two days later. As usual got the FC swag (and Lemonheads...and yes, they did come in handy very quickly  ). Got the M1A, working great! So far it's looking like if I remembered to charge it the day before, it will last just about the entire night without needing a charge. I like to plug it in between sessions anyway though.

Currently experimenting with temperatures and a week later, still not really sure which method I like more...Start around 5, get thick clouds and get right to the point? Or hang out at 2 for a while and enjoy the tastes. Option A is kind of harsh and trying to hold a hit reminds me of combusting, but it's also much faster than Option B. Guess it'll depend on the situation and how much time I have to spare for which method I'll use in the future. As far as efficiency though, I can't really tell much of a difference between the two--although since I'm still experimenting and doing different things almost every session, multiple times a night, it's kinda hard to keep track.

As far as efficiency generally speaking, I'm using less but not very much less than combusting so far. I'd typically go through an eighth in 5 or 6 days, and this week it lasted me 7 with about a half bowl to spare. Again, hard to tell with variables like quality of materials (they were different strains) and with how much experimenting I'm doing. It's definitely looking like I'm on the road to usage reduction though.

Also, smell has been a concern for me, as with combusting I was forced to smoke outside in the cold to go undetected. I really don't think I'm off by saying this (since I am not at all accustomed to vapes, and have always been aware of the smell with smoking) but I honestly don't smell anything during use. I can smell the materials themselves when the jar is open, and I can smell the popcorn scent if I put my nose within an inch or so of the mouthpiece, but I can't smell anything extra coming from the unit. Definitely can't imagine anyone would be able to smell it from another room. So now instead of putting on a jacket and taking multiple trips outside, I can lounge in a warm blanket, puffing and watching Netflix. Awesome

Now for the aftermath. I read that ABV is supposed to be activated already, so cooking with it wouldn't make it any better? I tried little bits mixed with food before and while the ABV is absolutely disgusting by itself, its flavor seems to be masked easily--you can tell it's there, but it tastes more or less the same as an edible made with fresh. Since like I said, I am concerned with smell, and didn't want to leave the house reeking from a science experiment...once I ran through my 8 I decided to just pour the entire thing onto a burger. It tasted fine, but I didn't feel anything. Within about 10 minutes of eating it my lips started to feel funny and I thought I was in for a ride, but nothing ended up happening. Maybe I'll have to actually head into the kitchen next time I collect enough. And just for the hell of it, I tried packing a few bowls and combusting with the wick I also purchased to see what happens...I don't want to do that again. That method did produce a mild high however, like really low quality fresh would...but it was so gross...

Anyway, thanks Randy and PIU! Great transaction and I know where I'm going if I need any more goodies.

tl;dr: If you haven't already, you should order a Solo from PuffItUp ;)

Not sure if I'm supposed to ask this here... Just created an account to ask about this. I just ordered a SOLO from you guys in Canada, can't find any information for international shipping times from you guys. Has anyone ordered from puffitup from Canada? How long did it take?

Does anyone know how long I'll have to wait before I should expect to see my package?

It took just about 7 days including weekends for Ontario.

It's my first time posting here on FC (after 2 weeks of giving up my life to it), and my first time ordering a vaporizer.

I ordered the MFLB from PIU, only to find out SECONDS after that the Solo was on sale for $160... so I emailed Randy and asked if I could switch the order (I have asthma and I've read that the Solo gives smoother hits... it was just the price that was stopping me). Lo and behold he answered the next morning and after a week, it's left the USPS sorting facility in LA... I'm super excited and I'm really hoping that it'll arrive next week!

Thank you Randy for the AMAZING customer service. PIU is seriously a one of a kind company, and honestly, the first I've ever come across such wonderful service. Thank you so much :luv:

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Funny as the price was the only thing stopping me as well, UNTIL I SAW THE SALE! haha. Great stuff mate. Was wondering how long it took for it to depart the sorting facility in LA dude, anxiously awaiting mine as well. Thanks.

I just ordered a solo and a space case 4pc grinder from Randy as well on Saturday, hopefully since we are close in distance it will be here soon! Super excited, come backing from a long vacation from the flower and looking to get off on the right foot. It'll be my first vape. :)

Puffitup has had excellent service so far. This thread is a testament to that.

congrats tim...u will become like the rest of us and say fuck combustion. It is such a strange thought but it ends up tasting gross after vaping a bit. Do yourself a favor and take a break from smoking after you get used to the solo and in a few weeks you will never smoke again. I lit a lighter last night to clean a screen and it made me sick. I never remember it smelling so bad before.

oh man, im not sure if i want to completely hate smoking though! is this hatred towards smoking and being repulsed by it a byproduct of vaping?

I am just not a fan of the by products of burning something and then having it sit in my lungs.

It will end up tasting gross. I believe it is because you get used to the pure taste of a vape.

Edit: I didn't want to give up smoking either but am very happy now that I am smoke free. I do miss the different way the meds were delivered but I can live with that.
