OF, mind picking me up at the airport? Think I can scoop up BigDaddy on the way to LAX, maybe see if Purpl3 wants to come too. Adobewan? Where are you? $10 for gas and I can get you too

You know, I'm starting to kinda like this idea. We just had two states approve recreational use.... You know those big limos? What say we start 'Budtaster's Tours'? Like wine tasting, only better. Much better. After the tour they dump you back at the airport and let the airlines deal with you. Like the 'gambler's special' buses, only once again, better.

Maybe start your own 'bottle of the month club'? Maybe we have sponsored plants? For a given price you get say half the harvest when it matures.....you watch it grow on the internet.....we could have fun with this, boys and girls.

All it costs is money. And a good lawyer. And some focus.....

Howdy, welcome to the Forum. Yes, it does.

The supplied charger uses a 'wall wort' to provide 1 Amp of 12 Volts DC to it through the more or less standard (center positive) plug used for such stuff. It's input is rated 100 to 240 Volts, 50/60 Cylcles. You'd need a plug adapter, of course. Unless TV supplies the WW with the right plug?

You're welcome, sorry for the accident.

Think you're excited? I'm the sod who broke the only test unit yesterday. It's a Holiday here in the Colonies you know and Friday after is a traditional day to take off work and make it a four day weekend (which is why they pushes so hard to get the test unit to me yesterday.....). I'm sitting here looking at all these lovely parts......

Hmmmm i own a PD , and a MFLB , i was thinking about a Underdog (maybe when they bring out servicable parts one) then i looked at the VapeXhale Cloud but thought it can break too easy for $500 , then i saw this .
Will it be cool enough on the lips? will it hit bigger than a PD? it dosnt have a stem so how does the vapor build up to hit hard? inside i take it? how long is the battery life? (if you used it on and off all day everyday)

It should be plenty cool. The ceramic used is well chosen for being a great insulator. It will, of course, eventually get warm but I expect this to be a much smaller issue than on other vapes because of the material. Yes, I expect it to be many times the level for a combination of reasons. The vapor does not build up, like in the PD it's released as it's produced. The key is to be able to put a lot of material 'on line' to produce under controlled conditions. T1 and Evolution do a good job of this, I expect Cera to do a bit better in this regard due to increased insulation and heat control.

Battery life should be plenty for most users on a daily basis. I expect total heating time to be something over half an hour, perhaps 45 minutes. It will depend on final power level. And if that's not enough for you, battery changes are as fast and sure as bowl reloads. Under a minute, even if you're ham fisted.

I can't believe you actually got to touch one OF, and I can't believe how much pain you must be in torturing your self cause touching her is all you can do :-) i'm still jealous she looks so nice to hold. Hope ur wishes come true and the guys get you a new core asap, then you can add plenty of she is awesome she works like a gift from the gods, fuel to the burning "I don't know if I will survive the wait fire of desire."

I've been sitting here thinking about the upcoming oil cart for Cera. It's been described to me in 'system terms' (remember, Cera will replace the entire TV line, herb, oil and 'juice'). As we guessed, it's going to involved changing the entire heat core out. It's very easy to unscrew (the threads are better on the new connector, the seal o-ring slides easier than on T1, and you get a firmer grip on the body to turn it) and remove the heat core for bud. You also remove the mouthpiece from the cover. The oil cart is metal on the outside (I think I heard that right) much like the current ones only bigger in diameter by a fair bit. It's also very much redesigned inside (being much bigger) so that the heater is much longer (and a bit bigger in diameter I think) and runs vertically up the long axis. The reservoir is now four times bigger and most importantly is now almost all at 'the ideal distance' from the heater. Think about the old style. The tiny heater sat 'sideways' (horizontally) completely inside the ring of ceramic inside the metal jacket made of two layers. You have to wait for heat to spread out since almost all the reservoir surface is either 'too close or too far' away. The new design should get a whole lot of material to the magic temperature all at the same instant and it should shut down and cool quickly rather than having hot and cold spots like before.

Insulation will also be built into the body in addition to that provided by the body of Cera as I understand it. The existing cap goes on as well, held by o-rings like on the herb core.

Add to this the ability to take in a LOT of concentrate (my guess is between a quarter and half gram at a crack?) and the way it's designed the body will end just short of the mouth of the cap with the standard 'drip tip' connector. This means existing Revolution/DART mouthpieces will transfer over, which should include both the Pure and True Flow units.

DR, you got a lock on all this good stuff???

Thanks for the updates OF.

Will the vertical orientation of the heater prevent the migration of the concentrate up the inner walls (and hence out the window) as in the Revolution? The Revolution gives wonderful results, but is pretty messy (NB we haven't tried a DART). :D

We'll likely wait for the second wave of Cera units and the discounts that might be forthcoming, but it might be difficult.

Best,

How did you brake it? i thought it was unbreakable (almost)...

How did you brake it? i thought it was unbreakable (almost)...

He told us earlier. There is 1 piece that was being installed and broke in the process. So in all likely hood that when put together correctly it shouldn't break.

Now to the bad part.....I broke it already. Well, to be completely honest, I had help. It was broken before. As it always seems to happen, one little part is not available in the right form yet, a tiny ceramic washer that makes part of the insulator for the core connector. There's one hand built one in the known world so while I waited they switched it to a brand new core and heater for me to start working with with the agreement I'd come back and get a couple different power cores to run tests on as soon as they get the correct parts in (a few days, hopefullly). Because it's ceramic, tiny and the only one it broke when they moved it over. Putting it carefully together with the broken parts in their correct positions got it to light so I took it and went home. So it died just as I got it up to temperature......Murphy never misses and easy bet.

You're welcome, hopefully soon there'll be some actual testing info to add in?

There's no window to leak, not to worry. 'Migration' will no doubt happen since the vapor will condense on the walls above, the idea is to direct this flow back into the reservoir again like is done with DART.

I'm sure it's been well tested, I'm told there were four intermediate designs scrapped in the process. The proof is in the vaping, of course, but hopefully soon we'll be doing just that.

Hey brother OF, any chance we can twist your arm into taking a couple pictures?
Would be nice to see some "down the throat" shots as well as close ups of the mechanisms and switches?

Although your description is very good. Trying to visualize the vertical concentrate construction is hard to do.
We know verbal descriptions can lead to people's imagination running a muck. Well we will leave the dimensions feedback alone...lol. Like "does it get longer or shorter when you turn her on?
Opps, that one slipped.

As I already said, I'm sorry I've no plans to take any pictures. For now, the posting account is tied up in a crashed computer I'm not all that anxious to mess with.....even if I wasn't disinclined to pictures anyway.

While I might like to have a photo to reference when describing the new design, to do that would require something to actually photograph don't you see? Even if I really really wanted to.

I'm not sure what you mean by "down the throat", there's already a couple of excellent shots of the inside of the bowl, right?

Thanks OF, we all know PC troubles can be a pita.
I'm interested in the concentrate re-designed vertical heater core set up. As in how it loads or stores the 1/4 - 1/2 gram load. I'm assuming it is drawn into the ceramic as before?
