Discontinued ThermoVape

Good luck, please let us know how you like it when you sort it out.

Thank you for your guys response. I am almost convinced it is the battery (unless the switch unit is defect). I left two charging over night, when I woke up to check them one light was red the other was green. I put them in , both positives up, emptied my bowl so I could see the heating unit, and no heat , no glow.

beeboywhoo,
Like I said earlier.. When I received my t1, I got so with 4 batteries (instead of the 6 advertised) and the battery pack lid missing. So it has definitely been tampered with before its original packing

I only put in two drops when I know it's starting to dry out. 3 drops makes it leak from the bottom slots and a small drop accumulates on the top if the switch. I like taking smaller puffs instead of huge cloud-pushers, so I don't have much of a problem dripping, even when I drive. I just do it at the red lights. I might have also perfected dripping while hauling ass on the freeway, but I didn't say that ;)

And the taste is fucking phenomenal. Easily the best tasting e-cig I've ever tried.
After 10 years smoking and almost two solid months as an AVA/100%VG convert, I am going to have to agree with everything stated here. I was kind of perturbed at first by the "finnicky" nature of having to constantly drip and monitor the amounts, but at the end of the day you just have to be considerate and thoughtful, which as we all know is not natural instinct  not a bad trade off for being combustion free while being allowed the freedom to get your nic fix at any given moment

For what it's worth they state double capacity on the Cera liquid cartridge, so I'm also imagining a "max" load of 4 drops on an almost dry ceramic - but that is based on the previous arrangement of elements, and as we know that has evolved significantly.

I love that this can be used as a slide switch unit, for being in theatres and crowded public areas, the ability to slide it on and off is a must for stealth, it really helps keep the stray vapors down. But to be able to lock it on is awesome, the battery life suffers a bit, and you can always back it off a couple of threads between hits to turn it off to conserve battery life.
Interesting, thank you for sharing.

I know concentrates are not an obvious alternative to a lot of folks but it really opens up the potential for very high doses at incredibly discreet vapor levels with a low warmup & pull time. There are much harder limits on the former and higher requirements on the latter for flower by default and there's not a lot any company could do to make that more "relatively" efficient in the context of concentrate performance.

Personally I would consider exploring that route before soft-modding my device, but then again I would just forget it was on and burn out the batts every time if that were the case

Some things about the Cera I am not crazy about. Ceramic while very hard, is also brittle. How well does the Cera stand up to rough handling? One of the reasons i got my T1 is you could not break it if you tried. Ditto for the ceramic nub/locking switch on the side. Will it be available in any other colors? Black or gray are more stealthy. I realize it may be a limitation of working with a material such as ceramic but I do not at all like that the top parts attach via pressure/o-ring resistance. Threaded parts provide a much more reliable closure/seal.
From what I understand, another user mentioned the concern of it falling a few feet onto a ceramic tile and Tim from TET hinted that it would not end well for the floor tile

Although I will say I have less faith in the T1 design than yourself as far as indestructibility. It might be more robust with the solid cylinder flower cart and small mouthpiece tip, but with the universal adapter and the ava/rev carts there is a significant amount of shear force that could be generated on those threaded connections.

Hey, at the very least look at the white this way - when/if it changes, you will always have the first generation. Hawk that kit on ebay to some hipster in 10 years who doesn't want the black ones because they are all custied out

Maybe this mod has already been mentioned, but I will go ahead anyway. I found that by dropping 2 dimes into the outer battery tube before dropping in the inner battery tube that when the element is screwed down, it closes the switch and allows constant heating with excellent results.

I am a mechanic and have lots of o-rings laying around and found a thick o-ring that fits perfectly over the outer battery tube, so that the element can be snugged into place without the switch activating or the unit coming apart in your pocket. With the o-ring in place the switch slides up and down and functions as the original, but by removing the o-ring, it can be tighted down to lock into the ON position.

I hope this helps somebody, I love this mod myself and if it helps anyone it would be really cool ... just don't forget to moniter your battery, I know these are safe cells, but over discharging can be very hard on batteries.
You know that we are not all made of money. I get by by using pennies instead of dimes.

I would be very cautious with using the 6 volt T1 like this without very carefully monitoring the batteries. As you stated, over discharging can be really hard on batteries and the T1 is already pushing the limits of the LifPos. OTOH, for the LV devices, this would be a great technique. IMHO.

Great safety idea with the O ring.

Gotvape.com .Best competitive pricing I could find, I would have loved to purchase from the TV site but we know how it is now..
Check out some posts of the trouble shooting techniques given to another FC member.
Heat Problems
Read as some good tips. However, it did end up a bad switch in the end. But was caused by boiling it.

Hope this helps,

I would contact the vendor, and tell them your trouble. They should work with you, hopefully. I don't know what got vape's rep is on customer service, but it does sound like you got some kind of bunk deal even if it's just the batteries. If it was supposed to come with 6, it should have come with 6 IMO. How long ago did you buy it?

I figured what the hell, you only live once.

that has pretty much been my logic for spending way too much money on all this vaping stuff too... great minds...

I ordered it last week, got it yesterday. Got vape was actually on FC's vendors to not deal with on the other board. But what the hell I thought, $120 for a T1 is pretty good. The thing was on both items(t1 , revo) I actually had to call them just to tell them to ship my items out as it was just stuck on "processing" and after I called they got it to shipped right after the call.

$120 on amazon with free shipping. Might be able to find something cheaper used on ebay / classifieds.

check the classifieds here in the forum, and help out a fellow vaper... you can usually get much better deals in the long run because a lot of times you can find extras added on that would normally cost you quite a bit, for the price of the unit alone... worth a look, I thought I saw a couple in there recently.

So I was wondering how long it normally takes TV to respond to emails? I sent one the 14th and havent heard back yet.

I would not expect a reply until at least monday, but that is a long wait, might be worth trying again on Monday just in case it got missed. Holidays tend to disrupt customer service, so I imagine this weekend is out.

I've been having problems with my T1 for a couple of weeks - it seemed to only be turning on and heating up about 1 in every 10 attempts. I assumed the switch would be broken and I'd have to send things back (which is a pain being in the UK (or so I would imagine)). After reading through this thread a bit, I found someone with a similar problem and following OF's advice, I took it apart and just reseated all the bits and o-rings. I'm relieved to say it now works like a dream once again :D I love this little thing, I look forward to being able to get ahold of the cera.

Well with the 3.7v, I am loving the mobile T1 much more than with the lifepo4. Those little guys sure did try hard to work, but they were so inconsistent with power drain... some worse than others, it was so hard to troubleshoot which were good in a pair. I don't miss the stack to be honest, and prefer the IMRs. As I sit here hitting this T1 plugged in, I am getting good vapor with in 10 seconds, and that is not bad at all considering some of the other portables take up to a minute or longer to get to full heat. I know the lifepo4 batteries were creating a lot of headaches for people. The PA just proves that notion to me even more with its steady current and consistently good performance of the T1 core. I have to say that Pipes adapter worked just as well as the factory one, just didn't have the slick factory look.

Yeah me too for sure. It can kinda spoil you with others by raising the bar....which is cool in it's own way.

Based on my testing thus far with Cera, get ready to fall in love again...... IMO some useful improvements got added, but that clean taste is still there. We're just eating off fine china now, not tin plates?

oops... combusted with the 6v PA on my bubbler, forgot about that... was heavy on the switch and caught a cherry. All effected parts are soaking and the glass has been cleaned...needed a refresh anyway. I have been working on turning situations that seem to be minor annoyances into more productive experiences, seems I've been getting a bit too bent out of shape for my own comfort lately. I see this as a condition of our times mostly... instant grat can be a bit hollow.
