Well I got myself a case of strep throat. It amazes me how smooth the cloud is. I am able to medicate with much less pain then when I got strep throat in my combustion days. One tip, for anyone having issues it to give yourself at least 5 minutes between big hits. The first hit always seems to go down fine... even if I vaporize the entire ELB at 3'oclock. I decided to try another one right after the first. It was to much for my throat/tummy and the proceeding coughing fit was not overly pleasant.

So a few tips for people who are sick and still want to use the cloud:

Don't chain hit the device
Wait about 5 minutes between ELBS
Load smaller ELBS
Take Smaller Hits
Turn the Temp down some, but not so much that you don't get your desire effect.
Those tips should make the session less painful/distressing.

I got myself some antibiotics... I should be back to normal in a day or two.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving this year!
I've had the same experience SliM ... 3 cheers for the Cloud!

When I had this problem, I sent in a ticket and the VXH guys got back to me a few days later. I had a nice talk with them on the phone. They explained that the software is setup to NOT turn the unit on if it gets too cold. They said that it is to prevent thermal shock of the bamboo. They also said that it won't turn on if it gets too hot, to prevent it from overheating.

I figured my Cloud was OK, but I wanted to be on record (within the warranty window) as reporting the problem, if it did turn into something more.

My unit does this no matter the temperature in my room. I've walked in to a very warm room, and no matter what, I have to turn it off and on twice before it starts heating. It's a bit of a pain in the ass, but when it's heated up, it's phenomenal.

Who has had this shipped to Canada. I am wondering what the duty is like, and if the receiving address can get in trouble (paraphernalia)

Me. Nope.

I can't even remember what the total duty was... but the fact that I don't remember it means it wasn't that bad. Or I'd still be pissed lol.

Same here, and no you will not get in any trouble for having paraphernalia shipped to you. Unused paraphernalia is perfectly legal to buy.

Calvin,
Hey guys, my friend broke my hydratube and said that he would replace it with any tube but the double perc. Im torn between the hydratree (this was my previous one) and the showercap. I know that the showercap is great for taste but is the slightly better taste worth less diffusion?

Depends if you usually use lower temperatures or higher temps.

Also if you tend to pack smaller ELB vs big loads at once.

And a final thing to consider, simply the amount of irritation/coughing you would typically get from a normal session. If you never coughed or had irritation before, then a little less diffusion would be okay.

So I finally get around to ordering a set of ez-load bowls and damn am I unimpressed that the cheapest I can get 4 bowls shipped for is $6.30. That works out to over $6.50 a bowl for replacement bowls to replace bowls that never fit correctly to begin with. Guess I'll go back to superglueing my bowls back together in order to try and get by a little bit longer.

I would not recommend doing that - do you know what chemicals you'll be vaporizing? I can't imagine it being safe. Might not notice any ill-effects now but long term who knows, just spend the $30 and get a new set. Be Safe!!

I know this has been done before, but here is my mock-up tile/slide ht stand.
I think my final one will be black marble/granite , black slide, with black silicon and shaped like the VXL monkey(the tail maybe tough)
BTW, the nice clean HC, is courtesy of T-Dub's tech(PBW/HT Flusher)!

Why are these so expensive? (considering they have breakable glass) any deals anywhere for these?

Because it is the best vaporizer experience out there PERIOD/End Of Story IMO! And I am a firm believer of "you get what you pay for" and this my friend is a device that is worth every single penny.

Good luck finding a deal as these are highly coveted and cherished devices. And if and when you do get one in your possession, it will be pretty hard to pry it from your grips....trust me on that. Its that good...

Twice as better than a log vape you reckon? (twice as much in price & yet you have log vapes in your picture aswell)

IMO the Clouds sums up many of the qualities we cherish in other vaporizers in one unit: all glass air and vapor path, real control of the temperature (the Clouds adjusts its heating element to maintain temperatures in spite of the fastness of the hit), variable temperature.

Not to mention the HT which i think are a great idea, although personallly i think the Cloud 2.0 should attempt to be smaller and could have smaller ht's as well but i don't know how feasible is that.

I love my log vapes no doubt about it but the Cloud experience is one of a kind and deserves a category of its own.

Logs are very efficient...

The Cloud is Devastatingly efficient... Its very efficient at getting you quite devastated!

Dont go with the deals, buy from Vapexhale, the warranty is only valid if you purchase it directly from Vapexhale, (i believe, dunno if things have changed) so if you buy it off a buddy or something and it breaks a couple months later like mine did, your pretty much screwed...

On another note, any word on stand alone units... i thought they were supposed to be available a while ago (i know the units are marked down for the package or whatever so its more benificial to buy the package but i still am curooius to how much the unit by itself would be

From my experience, every vaporizer experiences some bugs especially new models and most of the clouds problems were in the early models but have since been resolved...besides the volcano Ive had to send a broken vaporizer back for repair/replacement for pretty much every vape ive owne

This thread should be re-assurance enough. I'd buy another Cloud, or two, if I could afford them. For now, I baby mine. If you're careful with it, like anything(think expensive wine glasses, fine china, etc), there is no reason it should just 'up and break' on you; If it does just randomly break, and not because of user error/ignorance, send it in for warranty repair. If that, plus this thread and the past one, aren't enough re-assurance for you, then I don't know what to say.

AFAIK, you can contact VXL via their website, or phone number, and speak with Troi, or someone else, and purchase a stand alone cloud unit.

Visit www.vapexhale.com and click on the link to the Store, in the upper right hand corner. There, you'll find pages for accessories, (ELBs) botanicals, Cloud packages...Click on Cloud packages, and you'll see all of the available Cloud/HT combos. Or, alternatively, contact VXL via the website, and inquire about purchasing a standalone unit, at less of a deal than with the package. I recommend getting a HydraTube package, and I love my Evolver Hydracirc. There are several reviews here, and on youtube, of the different hydratubes.

Good luck!

Edit* re new version. There has been talk here and there, for a while, of a new version coming out in the future. I don't see this happening soon, as they are currently working on building a better base as a company, etc. and producing a international unit. I would seriously purchase a Cloud now, and not worry about the "V2..." for a couple reasons. One, you'll be able to re-sell your Cloud if a v2 comes out, but it would make a great back up; someone here would buy it as a backup, if you didn't keep it. Two, you can join the rest of us in the Clouds now.

Cloudy...
Dude, I really want an international version. At the end of this month I will get some extra money and will keep it for a VXL. Hope they start selling it at the start of new year! I dont know how much time has passed from when I preordered it, but I want an VXL, not other vapo offer me a perfect GonG vaping experience :D

If I was you PD, I will buy without a doubt, i really envy you...
