I just received mine today and mine also has a crack in the joint that holds the mouth piece. I ordered it without the logo and received one with (I wanted one without as I prefer the no logo version). The free down stem I received with the order was also rough. I understand it was free but come on...there's only slits on one side of it and it's not even the right size. I'm really bummed out about this. I sent same an email regarding it, so I'll update when I hear from him.

Other than that it seems like a nice piece. Looks a lot better in person than in the pictures.

Could ya upload some pics? I've been keeping an eye on mine and it seams to be holding up well. It has stood up to many cleanings with steaming hot water.

After using my bubbler for 3 weeks now I love it more than ever. With the added 14mm downstem this thing hits so smooth and is virtually silent, a huge difference in sound between any of my other pieces. This thing is stealthy for those that would need it.

What I'm most impressed about is that this piece has no kick back. When I stop hitting my BL Saxo without removing the wand I get some air blown back through the tube, blowing ABV into my heater cover, not fun. That's worth more than anything as it made my other bubbler useless for anyone but me.

I've been calling the extra downstem the "silencer" it does cut way back on the sound, and I think it percs more smoothly with it in. Hoping the next round is a good batch for everyone!

Sorry I haven't gotten to the pictures guys. Life is busy ATM. On further inspection the line I see appears to be normal. The "crack" may not even be a crack, I am going to try as hard as possible to get a good clear pic of it. She is hitting very nicely and as long as I don't have to worry about the same thing happening to this one that happened to my first I will be a happy camper.

I received my bubbler nearly a week ago and have been using it ever since and I couldn't be happier. My guess is the faulty bubblers were blown by a bad apple, because mine is immaculate (remember GlassBlowersDirect is comprised of a group of glass blowers, which can be bad if proper quality control isn't exercised). Just as with BDV's my showerhead slits are all even and well defined. While there are some minor imperfections (like a oh so slightly uneven floor that can only be seen if looked at closely), they can all be attributed to the handmade nature of the glass. The adapters I had blown for me to hookup tubing to the rig are also pristine pieces of glass, not to mention the oil dome, the glass nail, and the slides that I also ordered.

As I said previously, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. When I have time I will post pictures, but in the mean time I highly commend GlassBlowersDirect for the wonderful product that they have sent me.

I received Sam's FC Bub today and first impressions are great! It's far prettier than the photos do justice to be honest. While close up pics tend to make things look huge, I was prepared for a six inch bubbler and I am very pleased with the final size. I still can't help but think it's smaller than I had pictured in my head, but side to side with my Mobius Matrix bub and they are both right at the same height to the top of the can. . . perfect! (helps me verify the size of Lev's bub in BDV's vid too!)

I did not order the fuckcombustion.com lettering, but received it anyway. For me, no complaints at all, it's well done and compliments the piece nicely. Seems like a bonus, but I can see where others may not think so.

I just tested the piece and it does fire nicely. I requested a showerhead downstem to reach as low as it could within the Can showerhead. While I can see this was attempted, it is not really doing much other than reducing the size of the airpath. This does create a 'smoother' draw and reduce's 'chug', but other than that I could achieve the same results with a regular downstem. . . in my opinion anyway.

Finally, I stuck my pinky in 14mm mouthpiece joint and wrenched on it pretty hard in multiple directions. Looks and feels pretty solid. . . I do not see it breaking easily.

The GlassBlowersDirect.com FC Bubbler design is well thought out and adequately constructed. The end results to me is a work of art that I am very pleased with. Personally, the subtle. . .ummm, "errors" in the glass add a one of a kind touch that I really like. A few uneven slits, a slightly tilted showerhead stem and a ever so jiggly 14mm mouthpiece joint really add personality as far as I'm concerned

Hand blown and love it. Will post pics, but now I have to go clean it first. . . . Thanks Sam!

I also received one of Sam's FC bubblers today. I have to say I'm impressed. It looks beautiful, all the welds look good and the large downstream is nicely cut and polished. And like Hopps I checked out the joint for the mouthpiece and it is nice and sturdy. All around very pleasing to the eye. I haven't had the chance to test it but I will before turkey day and will post pics and vids. I also had a special mouthpiece blown and will try to put that up sooner.

I'm still patiently waiting for Bub #2, or at least word about it. I am happy to see more people getting theirs, and a bit baffled by so many getting FC logos who didn't order them. I do like the look of the logo, but opted out myself. My first bub is holding up nicely. I clean it every day or two, and have not had any problems so far. Mouthpiece joint seems solid, so I am hoping things stay that way. I am also relieved to see more pieces going out with out having breakage issues. Looking forward to more pics and vids. Keep'm coming!!

Me too. Makes me think he was maybe anticipating more demand for the logo than there really was, and felt like he needed to use what he'd made.

I was thinking the same. Either that or the demand for non-labelled bubblers was so high he had to give out labelled ones.

Probably the former.

If mine were to ever break, I'm just going to have Sam weld the piece on. I'd have him use the same design and angle. Use a heavier gauge glass and I'd be set!

We're here to fuck shit up.
I added a 22.5 degree adapter for the mouthpiece and I am enjoying the higher angle very much. I also picked up a straight male on male 14mm to 18mm adapter for my Pax. I started using my other one for my oil rig.

What a guy!
Thanksgiving over? Check.

4 day weekend? Check.

New Glassblowersdirect.com F/C bubbler to test out? Double Check!

My first impressions are, wow, it's a really nice piece. I'm saddened by those few who have had troubles but my piece came out beautifully. I can find no faults with it's design and construction. My only critique is with the free downstem. It could be a little longer imo, but I'm finding that I prefer it without. This is definitely a big hitter bubbler and it pairs very nicely with my LSV.

I'll have more to say once we get to know each other better.

Got my custom bub in today!! :D :D

Quality is spot on! it looks almost identical to my first one, aside from the different MP connection. Minor variations, and still has it's own character. So far everything looks and feels nice and solid. The extra downstem is a bit longer than the first one i got, so it rides lower in the shower head. Also the quality of the glass used for my second bent neck mp is much higher quality than the first one I got. It's thicker glass, the really good clear kind the bub is made of instead of the "frostier" looking gass that is thinner and feels much lighter, so that was a nice surprise. I can now put my HC on there, but I would not leave it standing alone this way for too long, as it still has a bit too much weight from the HC, and feels a little bit tippy, even with water added, but it will stand alone and support the HC just fine if you need to let go.
I noticed the second bub is chuggier than the first but it still offers plenty of diffusion

:uhoh: Shoot!! just noticed what looks like could be a crack in the bottom of the bub, you can see it from under the bottom too...I'm going to contact Sam about this... I hope we get this worked out.

FYI I did not post that last post (which I can no longer edit) to badmouth Sam in any way, I just wanted to get other peoples opinion on whether it was a serious crack or if I was imagining things... just want this to be clear so I don't make people think I am saying bad things about GBD. I feel they do excellent work, and will continue to give them my business, assuming this situation straightens out.

That crack is big. Going back thru the pics, I don't see it, especially in the 3rd and 4th pics. Did you take more pics?

EDIT: I don't know how that thing isn't leaking. It eventually will, if it falls over... putting force on the big showerhead and pressure on that reinforcement on the bottom of the can.

Yeah, you can see it, in the last pic, you re-posted, at least I can see it... the light has to be just right, and I think it got bigger as my piece has been sitting here. I am hoping this gets worked out, things are a bit of a mess now. :( I saw the crack within the first hour of having it. I was so excited at first I simply did not notice, or it just was not very visible until after I put water in it... hard to say. I really hope this can be worked out.

I'll say it again, my original intent on posting this was to see if I was just freaking out for no reason... but it seems it is a bad crack and now I am not sure what is going to happen.:disgust:

I believe that's just a reflection of the showerhead. The close-ups are the reveal. Though, the crack could have been 1mm and underneath. It can still grow like a weed. It may not have been there at all, but stress on the glass, from anything really could have started it. Not an accusation. It just clicked in my head, when I saw the video, how big it was... and it had to showup in the pics.
