I'm seriously blown away by the Bender. The flavor is unmatched. I mean, I'm LOVING strains that I used to hate smoking on. Fuck combustion and long live the Bender!
Cool news!
Looks like I just found my next herbal vaporizer!

What about this?

Glad you brought up the Persei bubbler, ataxian. With all the new toys coming out from D9 land, I think it's gotten lost in the excitement.

Here's a vid from thc's youtube channel:

This thing is AWESOME! Some tubing with a gong adapter on the end works perfectly well, but definitely doesn't look as cool. This is a piece of glass made specifically for the Persei.

Watching the vapor snake its way through the glass and into the water is pretty fun. It's similar to hooking up an mflb stem to the mp in order to gauge vapor flow/production, but way more expensive.

All joking aside, I can get massive milky rips with the Persei bubbler. The first time I tried it out it totally kicked my ass. :ko:

I also need to re-iterate what others have said about the Bender's flavor. Out of all of the vaporizers that I've ever used, the Bender produces the purest, most flavorful vapor, hands down. Buds that taste like shit in another device suddenly become palatable in the Bender. There's no doubt that this is an ALL-GLASS airpath; the taste is as clean as it gets.

This is as good an opportunity as any to express my unabashed infatuation with the Persei. Although not recommended for the beginner, the Persei family is a beast in the hands of an experienced vaporist.

Some comments I've received from friends after they've seen me using my Persei:

(with the Bender)- "Dude, it's like you're from the future."

(with the Persei Bub)- "You just took your stoner-ness up 6 levels."

(with dual top)- "How many vaporizers do you have?"

Iris and Herc, I'm patiently waiting for you to arrive before taking the next family photo.

For somebody that only really vapes herbs, am I better off with the INH as opposed to the persei?

Now I don't feel bad!
I have two PERSEI's one set up with the dual configuration now single the other with the daber adapter. Two Hercules on the way. I want two more PERSEI's. One for the Bender and one for the IRIS. I'm a Wood Worker as my Hobbie and have 6 different router motors fitted with 6 different router bits. The PERSEI reminds me of a good router motor just change the bits!

Love your video your definitely "Experienced"!

Good Question we will see.
I use the SOLO's for FLOWERS.
PERSEI for concentrates.
With the BENDER and BUBBLER I will do it all with the "PERSEI".
No need for 15 different Vape Brands to create disorganization.
I like uniformity and I believe the PERSEI will deliver the goods!

The waxes are getting better and better all the time.
I love HERB however medication done with wax is much faster.
Currently a session with my PERSEI and SOLO does a beautiful job.
The BENDER just seem like a more practical attachment than another vaporizers.
3 different PARMA pills = no more
1 bowl from my SOLO and five rips with my PERSEI = MEDICATED
Sleep before PERSEI = 2 - 4 hours and hangover (PARMA)
Sleep after PERSEI = 7 - 8 hours with no hangover (natural)
As a real 420 patient the PERSEI does medicate me correctly.
The Experienced say the BENDER has a clean flavor profile so for flowers (HERB)
it makes perfect sense to me!

Haha, na that's not me. I can't chug on it the way that dude does! :o The family photo, however, is a picture of my collection. :p

You hit the nail on the head (pun intended) with your router motor comparison. I would add that the Persei is like a high performance router motor, and the attachments (Bender, double top, Hammer, Iris, Herc, etc.) are like specialized high end bits.

There are other platforms out there that offer the flexibility to vaporize flower/plant matter, oil/concentrates, and e-liquids. Of course, some satisfy this claim better than others.

With the Persei, there are plenty of attachments available to vape different types of mediums (is that the correct term?) and many more are on the way to further refine the vaping experience.

This is high-end vaping so yes, it comes at a premium. Some well invested time, money, study, patience, and practice can reap a lot of rewards in the long run and, imo, make it all worthwhile.

Edit: Man, I'm such a Persei fanboy.

Edit #2:

For somebody that only really vapes herbs, am I better off with the INH as opposed to the persei?

Although the Persei+Bender is "technically" a portable (you aren't tied down to an outlet), I'd hesitate to call it "convenient for travel" and definitely wouldn't refer to it as "stealthy". As much as I'd love to, I won't be strolling down the street puffing on my Bender anytime soon (someday, though... [sigh]).

The learning curve with the Bender is significantly higher than the inh, mainly because the inh really doesn't have a learning curve. The inh also has the edge in terms of stealth, portability, and overall convenience.

Where the Bender KILLS the inh (and almost every other vape, imo) is vapor flavor. The Bender isn't my daily driver; I have other, more rugged/convenient vapes to fill that need.

In my mind, bringing the Bender out is akin to bringing out the fine china- I'm gonna bust it out when I have them highest quality product. (Actually, it works quite well with shitty weed, too.) The Bender is much more delicate and prone to breaking compared to most other portable flower vapes, but it lends the experience a sense of sophistication. For me, the risk (breakage) is definitely worth the reward (namely, delicious vapor).

In summary, if:
  • you're looking for incredible flavor
  • don't mind taking the time to really learn a device
  • aren't worried about using glass pieces
  • don't need a vape for stealth reasons
then I think the Persei+Bender is the way to go.

If this doesn't sound like your cup of tea, no worries. Luckily we live in a golden age of vaping and there are a ton of other solid options out there that might be a better fit for your needs!

Edit #3:

 I forgot to mention that the Bender also kicks ass in the area that matters most; rest assured that it will medicate you to your heart's content. :smug:

That guy rips!
Very true!
Don't you think I can meet my medication needs with the various PERSEI set ups?

The DELTA 9 products seem to be more my style.

OK I guess I maybe a fan too!

OK I will get a BENDER for my luxury vape.
My SOLO's will remain my daily drivers.
HERCULES rigged on my PERSEI's most of the time. (we will find out)

I have my home units that I'm happy with and am looking for a more portable/stealthy unit at present. That said, the Persei is very interesting and I am going to start making my way through this thread for info/usage tips. Can never have enough home units :)

does anyone else have a problem where the hammer just stops working. This happened to the last hammer i had and i didn't think much of it because i was able to quickly replace it. My second hammer just out of nowhere stopped heating up. Both of the hammers stopped working and after giving it a day they both randomly started working again. Unfortunately my hammer shows no signs of being able to work again.

I found that if you screw the hammer in too tight it actually gets a bad connection and shorted out my top. Now I only screw it on until I feel it snug up. I do not tighten it and have had no problems since.

also, without batteries connected, you can wiggle the center post of the head a little with a paper clip or small screwdriver. this sometimes help get a better connection

Bob Loblaw,
great advice ill try to loosen the connection because i try to make it tighter for a better connection, i fear wiggling the ceramic top because it is so delicate and i fear breaking it completely

yea, don't wiggle the top too much. just GENTLY pry the center post of the head up a little and then try again. i screw it down then hit the button, wait a sec or two to see if it's heating, then tighten a little and repeat until it heats up. hope that helps

guys we have figured out the way to fix the center post, and replacement tops are being manufactured so this does not happen again.

This happens when the center post gets pushed in a but due to over tightening. Its already fixed in the replacement parts.

"used up" ur warranty? i was unaware this was possible. warranties do not denote a one time use, usually there is a time-frame and persei is for life, iirc. that's one of the reasons i got them. maybe you should check? sounds like the got the problem sorted so if you do get a new top this won't be an issue.

i always assumed a lifetime warranty was a warranty that you can use anytime in your life once. A previous company did this to me with their warranty so i just assumed thats the way it worked. If i could get another hammer replacement i will weep tears of joy

you probably would want a new top if that's what shorted, but you might have blown ur hammer cart instead/as well. sounds like a dick company. never has that worked that way in my life.

I dont think the hammer is the issue, its the top. I would suggest you wait a week and then call us, we will let youk now if the new replacement tops are ready.
