Underdog Log Vapes

I think with Canadian customs, the only way to get rid of the charge is to make it a package that doesn't need a signature. I have only ever had to pay for items that required a signature. For some reason I had no charge on my vape when I imported it into Canada.

And great longboard shot, I just got into longboarding this summer when I picked up a loaded tan tien, I did my first glove slide not too long ago but the snow and ice came along to ruin my fun :( Fortunately snowboarding is finally in season! I ordered a Solo last night so I can take my vape with me to the mountains. It was a tough decision between just ordering a car charger for my UD and getting a new portable vape, but ultimately it is important for me to be able to vape on the hill.

And Dave, I'd love to design some stickers for you man. Just PM me some guidelines and I'll make up some drawings and scan and send them. Whichever ones you choose I'll digitize and touch up and send you the files so you can have them printed.

You got lucky and your vape slipped by customs, it has nothing to do with the signature, my day job is in logistics so im fairly accustomed to the process. Technically I can still reclaim the duty charge if I get the proper paper work to prove that over 80% of the materials originated in the US or at least the parts have had value added to it by Dave in the US(Carving the wood, piecing items together to create another product, etc). Its a lot of work and frankly im not going to do it for $33 but I felt its something that my Canadian's who plan to order an UD should know.

it's been way long over due to post up not only pictures of my UD Bamboo Twig but of my Left Coast straight tube as well. i think my UD pairs with the LC tube well, i really enjoy being able to watch the vapor fill up in the tube so i can gauge my hit. loving this Bamboo Twig since i got it and think its awesome. my friends are always surprised on how big the hits can be since most of them rarely vaporizer and don't think any vaporizers can actually hit hard. here's a video showing off some pictures of my UD and me hitting it through my Left Coast tube!

edit: i included the clip showing one trench worth of MFLB because i wanted to be able to show people how little material you could use and still get huge hits with it

Quick question... I'm heading over to a friends' tonight to show off the UD. I found a plug for the car (from a car charger, 12v) that fits into the twigs port. Could I use this to keep the twig warm on my ride so its ready to go when I get there?

Just don't wan to f-shit up. Thanks sooooo much in advance.

Man I wish I knew - hopefully someone will pop on soon that knows the right answer...good luck.

Do you really need to keep a twig "pre-heated"? I mean doesn't it heat up in less than 15 minutes anyway?

Is it a direct car adapter meaning cigarette lighter directly to the tip that fits the Dog or is it a cigarette lighter > transformer > to the tip?

If it's the former then it should be fine though it might run your UD very hot, even hotter than at home but it shouldn't be a problem.

If it's the later then it should be fine IF the transformer is outputting an appropriate 12-13v and can supply enough current of 600ma or more, higher would be better, I like to see 750ma+. :2c:

Thanks for the quick replies dogs! It's a cigarette adapter to plug. Thought it would work, just wanted to make sure.

@stu... It heats up pretty quick but once I get to my buddies house I want to get the party started right away. Haven't seen the guys in a few weeks and its PARTYTIME!!! Plus, one of the dudes is super impatient and we wanna get him fucked up QUICK!!!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!!!

Just moved my screen position from 5/8" to 1". Wow, very impressed by the improvements in taste and efficiency. Still milks the bubbler great:). What screen distances do you longtime dog users prefer?

I usually set mine about half an inch from the upper edge, both with the silicon stem and the Wychwood stem.

I use fairly small loads though, I usually load less then 0,1 gram per bowl.

edit: that looks an awful lot like a WW GonG stem with a silicon bowl on top of it HES, is that what it is or is that what's inside the MFLB WPA when you peel off the wood?

yup, it's the inside of the MFLB WPA when you peel off the wood. i just fitted ~1.5- 2 inches of thick silicone over it and let a screen sit right on top of the WPA inside the silicone. i find it works really since the silicone fits over the WPA and doesn't restrict the airflow whatsoever. kinda sleek looking and easy to take apart/put together makes it a half decent alternative to the WPB that Dave offers.

So I'm sitting here thinking about my UD and I'm wondering has anyone modified an Ed solo stem to work with a log? I kind of stopped using them with my solo but I wanna show off that wood! So when I get home this evening I'm gunna try to get them going. Will post back with results!

I load my screen as close to the bottom of the little extra thin silicone piece as I can. Then I add enough that I need to pack it pretty firmly, then I take the hits through my cheap knockoff roor bubbler. Man, if you load a .1-.16 vape bowl with kief on top and take it through water filtration you can can pretty medicated off of a hit or two.

Cool, it does look a lot like the WW GonG though. Is the opening on the end you stick in the silicon wide enough to let the UD's heaterport slide in or is to narrow for that?

If so you could use it without silicon too if you want to.

The one on the left here is the stem I'm talking about:

just tried it OTA but unfortunately it seems that it's too narrow for the heat port to fit that end of the WPA. would've been nice to mess around with it that way though.

I think your Bamboo Dogs have the classic 24/7 core so the bore hole in the wood at the top is a 1/4" narrower there HES. One of these days soon before they start to rattle you should send them in so I can re-bore them for you, weld the insulation extensions on your cores and re-insert them for you.

I'd be happy to do it under warranty anytime you want to send them in, either at the same time or one at a time so you're not Dogless.

Hi Dave. Hope all is well... When will the next refresh be going up? Some of those pics you posted on your FB page looked tasty. Reason I ask is that my PD is starting to taste like charcoal LOL

I have one of the mflb WPAs and some eclipse h2o gong adapters. Was gonna sacrifice one of them with the olde' silicone slip trick but decided to save them... Just in case I needed it down the line. I found a 14m vapor brothers whip adapter at my lhs for $10 and used that with about 2" silicone and a screen. Simple and Works great with all of my glass. One of these days tho, I'm going shopping at UD again!!! (Probably the day after Christmas!!)

Hey cjwally- I'm going to guess we should have refresh pieces up tomorrow. I haven't seen Dave since this morning... He's been out in the shop like some kind of made scientist. :science::lol: Which makes me think we're getting close!
