so so far you have had an hour and 12 minutes of straight use. I would say that pretty damn good!

Oh and you know it's not good to completely drain the battery right? Especially on a brand new unit. If I were you I would have done this experiment after you have had it for awhile, but that's just me.

I thought these batts don't drain. I read on here that they only go down to about 40%. Is that not true? If it does drain all the way is there a certain way you are suppose to train it?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Its not like you're doing it every time, just once. Just charge it fully once your experimenting is done.

You also have a 2 year warranty, and multiple vapes to substitute incase something happens, it would suck if it came to that AGAIN but it is there for a reason

I took such good care too of my Solo, thing didn't have a scratch on it, looked brand new, cmon USPS, start moving a little quicker

Curious guys for next week, I know thursday is a holiday so no mail, how about Friday? mail or no mail?

EDIT: BTW that 40% I would assume is when the battery indicator gets to 1-2, which is why they programmed the new units like that

It's not a federal holiday so mail will be delivered on black Friday.

What batteries don't drain? Where did you read that? Because they certainly drain 100% if you use the whole battery. You must have misread or something. You don't have to "train" anything to my knowledge it just isn't advised to let it drain 100%. You should be topping it off whenever your not using it.

So how many stems did you get before it was fully drained?

I read that most vapes have a fail safe so it won't let it drain more then X amount. I read the solo was 40%. I could have read wrong. Maybe someone knows. I read it about more then one vape though.

Anyhow I listened just in case and left it here. The battery was reading zero and here is the chart when I stopped and charged cause vapeNstone said so:D
First number is the battery level when turned on the second number is the number stem it was.
7 stem 1
6 stem 2
4 stem 3
3 stem 4
2 stem 5
1 stem 6
0 stem 7
0 stem 8
0 stem 9
Results battery life improved from first solo double.

Nice Dreamerr ,
How long in lenghth of time ?

9 stems X 12 minutes = 108 minutes of straight usage ?
or
did you stop and start up again in between ?
by that I mean you had to heat up again from a cold chamber , which drains the battery more .
plus what temp level also ?

Good questions, especially heating up a cold chamber

Temp levels she mentioned 3 and 4 mostly in a previous post

She did stop atleast a couple times, don't know the details though

Even then, it wouldn't change/vary too much, maybe half a session (6 minutes)

9 stems is pretty good though, funny how 3 of those sessions are at battery level 0, but oh well

I remember on the start of my 6th stem I would be at battery level 4 with my M106, now with the M1_, its at level 1

weird but this when the PA is perfect, especially with a car inverter

OK I did the full 12 minutes each time and went to cold. So yes had to heat up from cold.
I was using 4 and 5 previously but because some of you said try 3 I did and like it. So this was about half the session on 3 and the other half on 4. I will say maybe about 10 minutes at most were on 5 during earlier sessions before I got used to the lower temps. So yes this battery seems to be working. I still say the charge time is fast unless I am losing track or it is just that the INH takes so damn long. The solo certainly isn't taking 4 hours to charge. I believe two at most but who knows.

Side note running on 3 is pretty low and I am satisfied with this new battery life but how do they advertise 3 to 4 hours? I can't even see that happening at 1 or 2. I also think that if there was no battery indicator the life would feel really long. I think the indicators confuse me cause they aren't accurate.

Edit: We have no idea how much longer it would have gone since I did stop on vapeNstones warning. My guess is 2 more stems but who knows could be none could be 5.

Hey Dreamerr ,
That sounds like what I get .
1 1/2 hr of usage during my work day on my breaks , with cold start ups .
2 1/2 hrs of straight continuous power on the weekends ....level 5 n 6 .
No I don't mean I vape for 2 1/2 hrs , I just like having the unit hot n ready to go .
That was early on when I first got the Solo .

When the battery drops down to the blue indicator light only ,
it still has aprox. 30 to 45 minutes left of use ....at least with mine ( M107 ) .

Yeah , with the PA , it should always read full .
but some battery power is lost still when using the PA ....minimal .
The car inverter sounds great for long road trips .

I'm not liking the news of the newer units failing ...M1A.....
I want to get another one , but only if I can assure of getting an M107 .

careful buying a listed "m107" model, I did this, thinking it was going to be m107 and got a M1D2 model. I decided not to fuss with a return, because the M1D2 seems to work just fine other than the battery level read out not being accurate at all. Mine drops to low battery in 3 seshs. I do wish though, I had gotten the m107 as advertised by the seller. I found it through google searching. I would recommend contacting the seller, and confirming from a person that it is the correct model if you choose to buy one online.

When I first got my Medical Card I tried joints, Bubbler, Bong however I coughed like no buddies business.
So I went to the local smoke shop and the salesgirl set me up with a MFLB which was OK for the first 6 months however is tasted like burnt Pop Corn and the batteries were a hassle.
I searched the web and discovered the SOLO M107 so I went back to the Smoke Shop and told them I wanted a SOLO M107 - They had one left for $300 so I bought it and tried it out.
WOW! The Taste was like fine wine.
I wanted a second one (One for my factory and one for home).
I ordered a ADVERTISED SOLO M107 - They shipped me a M1D2 or some number like that.
It tasted OK however the battery is weaker and required frequent charging?
I kind of hate it.
ARiser customer service told me there is no difference in the numbers?
The performance is not even close!
The M107 is amazing.
My back-up unit is a bummer.
Its like oranges to apples! Definitely not the same. Looks the same however functions differently.
I paid $168 I should have bought it from a different vendor or direct from ARISER.
There must of been some factory rejects roaming around?
I want to buy another M107 or Newer.
Wasted $$$ for sure!
I was going to buy a EXTREME Q however after the response from customer service
I think I will buy a SSV for my plug in?

Another guy on grasscity just posted last night about a problem with his Solo, same thing, temps 1-3 flashing when plugged into the charger.

No details yet, but strange how quite a few of them are having the same issue

don't know what batch/model yet

No more M107 or previous models around, people that ordered an M107 got newer M1D_ or M1A_ models.

Read up on how the battery indicator programming has changed. I won't know how the new units compare until I get mine on Tuesday and compare it to my M106

Customer service told me the unit I received was newer than my M107.
One year latter the M107 is like brand new and so powerful.
The newer unit is a LEMON.
If your new unit works well I'll take another look.

The M1d2 was the newer one when I bought mine; then I bought the M107 for $10 less because it was the older "model".
Maybe they're using the older designations again so people wouldn't concern themselves with which "model" they're getting anymore.

I have to disagree. Have had one of the newer units for a bit now and love it. Wonder if there are a few bad units out there that are causing some problems for folks. Our friends have a newer unit and theirs works well also...

Not saying that your unit isn't a lemon - just saying that the newer units I have personal experience with are not. :2c:

It is possible, who knows. Only issue I've heard with the newer ones is the battery indicator, but the life and everything else is the same.

Where'd you buy yours from?

You mean if you got a bad battery and got a new one it is the same. My thought it the unit is fine but they got a bad batch of batteries and it is the luck of the draw if you get one. My new one seems to have no issues but lets see in two weeks. I couldn't care less if the indicator works as long as I get a decent amount of sessions like I did the other day. I normally don't need that many before a charge anyhow since I am by the outlet. It just depends when I remember to plug it in.

First number is the battery level when turned on the second number is the number stem it was.

Just to try and clear it up completely, rechargeable batteries will stop working before they truely reach 0% charge to prevent damage to the cells. This point where most rechargeable batteries will stop providing power before being fully drained, I will call functioning zero. The point when the unit shuts off regardless of the battery indicator reading.
The confusion here comes when people say that the solo has a pessimistic battery indicator. There is no way to tell when the solo is near functioning zero, but most here have determined that when the solo's indicator lights read 0 (no lights) it is actually at 40%. Best bet is to plug it in when the indicator says 0 or 1, as letting the unit reach functioning zero could damage the battery.

I have found with my unit set to 4 and finishing at 6, that I can get 6+ stems without reaching functioning zero. However everyone's results will differ due to stem type used, material density/moisture content, draw speed/duration ect...

On an unrelated note, I cleaned 4 filthy stems in one big mug of coco and was WAY too lifted. Two strikes me as a safe number :D

musicisevil,

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
So that would mean according to my test I will get 6 stems at level 3 more then likely less if I go 4. If that is correct I have not as much battery life as you do musicisevil which isn't so good. With the first unit I got 6 or less using 4 and 5 so this seems to be the same then except with the first unit it did die. If I get the full 6 on say 5 that would be fine but if I use 5 and it dies not so good.

Thanks for the clarification.

It won't cripple your battery letting it reach functioning zero once, and your method mentioned earlier was pretty scientific. I would just run it like you did and toe the edge of fuctioning zero until you find it. But I do understand your concern with battery life as you already received a bunk unit. Perhaps it's a newer model with an even more tweaked indicator? (Apologies if you already addressed this query) 40% moved to above 50%?? Just a theory...
I only run into an issue when I use it all day and wind up at a friends house after work without a charger. If you will be using it mostly at home I would splurge on the fancy wall charger an one of those docks from a FC member I've seen in previous pages. 3D printed products FTW
