I was using an No2 before I got my Pax so I can appreciate your dilemma. Its not the same. If the mouthpiece is hot you are pulling to hard. Slow your roll, puff don't suck. I sometimes use the Pax like a flute, only inhale instead of exhale (I hope that makes sense). That way I'm never drawing to hard!
Keep at it. When you get it right you will be rewarded.

I would appreciate any comments on my experiences, and also if anyone knows of an additional mouth piece for the Pax. All the other models I've seen have some kind of tube, or straw like attachment to keep the mouth farther from the device, and maybe the lack of that in the Pax is a design drawback.
I don't think the lack of an attachment to the mouthpiece is a design drawback. It was designed to be portable, after all. I think that you might be used to using an attachment and so you may be pulling to hard, expecting a more unrestricted draw. Free your mind of previous vaping experiences and you will find your technique with the Pax. For me, it's more like hitting a cigar, sometimes taking in a little air around the mouthpiece as I inhale.

Also, you mentioned you weren't getting much vapor...I think some of the other members might have suggested packing the oven tighter...I can't remember...I just had a session of Pax puffin' - anyway, if they didn't, pack the oven tighter. You'll be coughing in no time.

I'm aware thank you :) , didn't make a tremendous amount of difference. I find the mouthpiece is pretty restrictive, pretty much forces you to draw slowly anyway.

The issue isn't the mouthpiece, if you find the mouthpiece restrictive you are still pulling too hard. Try using just your cheeks but like you are casually sipping a drink rather than fighting a milkshake...

Finally got my pax after two whole days of anticipation. and it works fantastic. charged it up only took about a half hour which was suprizing, did a little pre burn and i was off.. little tuff on the pull but once i got the hang of it i was puffing clouds. the effects took a bit longer to kick in compared to smoke but the high was HIGH and much cleaner.. i just felt classy puffin on that thing. the two things i noticed were that my door kinda wobbled a little bit wen lightly pressed and am concerned it could open in my pocket anyone else have this issue? also i found you had to wait a bit (about ten seconds) between hits to get any resemblance of a cloud.. but overall pleased cant wait to use it more

So I've had my pax for a few months and I haven't had any real problems I couldn't easily solve, but as of recently my battery seems like its just not quite right. I'll take it off the charger after the light turns green indicating a full charge, then I immediately turned it on and shook it and it flashes yellow. Didn't even hit it once.

Tonight was the first night it did it straight off the charger like that, but a lot of times I would vape only 1 oven after a full charge, and the battery would be on medium.
I usually get 3-4 ovens before the battery goes on red. it seems like when I first got my pax, I was getting 2-4 ovens before the battery would even be on yellow.

Pax and a PB&J Waffle sandwich.. Wow, this is amazing. Make it with Strawberry Jelly

Been vaping like this, allows for thick clouds as it pulls slowly from the vape, and pulls in air.

Just a hint for bay area patients who need food for their Pax,

I've been used to harborside and elemental and feeling lucky when they had something on sale for $200 an ounce... Honestly I doubt I'll be going back after joining Revolution, they have ounces as cheap as $125! Do yourself a favor and check out their menu, forgot those absurd $400 ounces from harborside and elemental, Revolution's top shelf is $240 an ounce!

Man does that edit button go away quick now! I thought we used to have longer...

This is a $65 half, that's 14 grams!

It IS a bit moist/fresh tasting but it's also comparable to the stuff harborside/elemental charges twice as much for!

I had a chat with the folks at Ploom about the yellow light. They say that the unit actually continues charging a bit past the point the light switches to green. If you take it off right away you may get the yellow light. I find this kind of weird, but if that's how she rolls, not much we can do. I would suggest ensuring it's been on for at least an hour to an hour and a half depending on how much it was used before being put on the charger.

hmmm, I had my pax on the charger all day, since last night, and I just took it off, turned it on, gave it a shake, and it is reading a yellow battery. I have been keeping my Pax charged as often as possible, and have only run it down once. I will keep an eye on it.

I get the same thing. Leave it overnight, take it off and shake it and the yellow light pops on, put it back on the charger, light turns green, take it off, shake it, green light indicating full charge. This happens every time, without fail.

Random question for those who ordered directly from Ploom - does the shipping packaging say Ploom or anything on it, or is it more or less anonymous? Not sure when mine is going to arrive and trying to prepare for (potential) battle if I'm not the one to greet the friendly mail man.

Mine came in a plain white box that did say ploom on the from address label, but didn't say anything about vaporizers or anything like that.

I also can confirm this full charge to yellow battery issue with my purple pax. I thought it was strange but thought I was being paranoid. I always use my pax on green or at worst yellow. In 2 months Ive only drained the battery about 2-3 times total.

My pax also came in a discreet white box. Says "ploom" very small on the label. No one would know what it is.

My friends call me "Menz"
I live 30 minutes from New Windsor. You supply the green and I'll supply the PAX. PM me.

I just wanted to make a post and give a HUGE shoutout to Deadshort480!!!!! he welcomed me into his home last night. I was almost a complete stranger to him other that this board. he let me try out his PAX and this was huge to me!!! no brick & mortar store would ever do that, heck, no online store either. i got to feel the draw which allowed me to draw my own comparisons to my solo. he gave me the cleaning routine and everything else that goes along with PAX ownership. thanks to him, the PAX is definitely on my wish list!!!

One other thing he did which was a big solid.... he let me take my first EVER nail dab hit. It was AWESOME!!! i never did a dab before and i loved it!!

Thanks Deadshort480, you are the man!!! if you are EVER up in my area, let me know so i can attempt to return the favor!!!!

I've got a bit of an off topic question that someone (i hope) can answer. I have searched for the topic but I'm just not finding what I'm looking for so if you can answer or point me in the right direction that would greatly be appreciated.

I medicate for inflammation and pain. I have found a strain (cannatonic) that has 17% CBD's and very little THC maybe in the 6% range, i use this for the inflammation. Yesterday, I decided to mix my ground Cannatonic with some Tangerine Dream (hybrid) because I wanted the inflammation effects while I was helping with the pain. I put both in the oven at the same time and it rendered me useless on the couch for the whole day.

My question is: are the totals of the CBD's and the THC adding together or is the more potent of the two canceling out the weaker of the two? I hope you can understand the question because I'm not sure of the linguistics of my thought behind it. Also, is it ok that I did that? I had a much heavier feeling and the futon in my living room that really never has been comfortable while laying down felt like a cloud.

This makes me appreciate things like dispensaries for the knowledge they would have of stuff like this. In NY all of that is still a fiction.

Yeah at least we know that we are not all crazy, and that this is a multi-device issue.

Edit: Maybe its a problem with the programming on the light initially off a charge?
