Good find , hoptimum, but please double check.
The words "by 7th floor" are there as an implication... and can be interpreted as them telling who made it (which is the case here).. touch the words 7th Floor... and see where the link goes.
Read on to note it is sold by "easy vape" and "fullfilled by Amazon".
I looked further and saw even lower costs.
Check the codes here , and consider supporting a dealer that supports us.
You might find with the code the price is comparable
good catch, Vitolo, that does seem a little shady of easyvape to imply it was coming from 7th floor. I see the going rate on 7th floor is $190 and it looks like $209 on puffitup, without coupons. Amazon seems to be handling fulfillment on its own site even though it is sold through easyvape and amazon usually handles customer service pretty well. I'm not sure whether you would get the full warranty, however. Without coupon, the price on Amazon looks around $30-35 cheaper than 7th floor.

Although the Ebay store "Higher Elevations" that was run by 7th floor llc is no longer in existence, they once sold large lots of blemished Buddhas at very low costs. These Amazon guys, are folks that took advantage of these lots of Blemished Buddhas, and now are reselling them, as there is no longer an Ebay store owned and operated by 7th Floor.
Use your gut feeling, and also research each sellers rating, and customer satisfaction... then look at other details about them.
You'll come to a good conclusion for your needs I am sure.

Yea I mean I could get another wet dry vac, but the truth is all thats gonna happen is the next flood I'm gonna have two wet/dry vacs sucking up dirty city rainwater. So the shopvac is out. Just trying to rack my brain for a solution. I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled for something long enough an thin enough to push paper towel pieces through or something.

Why not just get a new attachment? Most shop vacs I have ever seen come with multiple heads.. just reserve a clean one for pipes

Shop vac was a great idea btw I would have never thought of that, and have always looked for ways to quick dry the wand (usually I would just dry rip it/pull hot air thru it)

I COULD get a super long hoes attachment I guess but the thought of the whip going into that wet/dry vac in any way, shape, or form really turns me off.

Hi folks,
I have a 220 volt DBV and was wondering how hot the element should be at the lowest setting just before clicking off.
On mine the element is glowing red not all the way to the top though.
But you can start vaping right at that lowest setting. If you draw fast it's pretty good and slow you get clouds, already.
So the question is is the lowest possible setting on the dial supposed to be below vaping temp. like almost off or is that the temp to start vaping at? 220 model owners?
Also I know from reading the threads that the 110 volt one I think seems to have a cooler setting at 0.
Anyway anybody who would like to clue me in about the settings on their their 220 volt one and maybe how the settings are on the 110 volter.
Thanks,
The DBV is great!

I have a 220 volt SSV. I never tried the lowest setting as I've read that SSV would be optimal around 12 to 1 o'clock (knob's position). And it works very well at this temp :p So I never tried other settings as it suits perfectly my expectations.
The heating element will glow all red at higher settings btw

My DBV is ready to vape at the lowest setting like 7'oclock just after clicked on.
At 12 mine is smoking..
So in other words at just on with the SSV it's too cool to vape?
Thanks,

As SSV & DBV are pretty much the same product, I guess your unit doesn't work properly then.
Maybe you should send it back to your seller if it's still under warranty.

I live on the other side of the world from the US. They have sent me a new dimmer unit and heating element. I installed them and It works like the first one or slightly better.
It seems that the dimmer is too weak in the DBV 220volt I got and in the replacement parts they sent me. I need plug it through an external dimmer before I can get the proper range.
Unless we have some different 220 volt power here, I don't know.
Still waiting maybe for a DBV owner in case it's peculiar to them although I can't see how.
Thanks for the reply.

Well im not sure what temperature range is in specifics, but im my 220v DBV i get good vapour between 10 and 11 o clock position, it glows a medium bright orange and at anything above 11 i can get the higher temperature extraction. I never go beyond this range, after 12 o clock position its sure shot combustion of herbal matter.

go through theothersidevapes. Got mine for around 160 with the discount full warranty and everything. Would have saved maybe 20 off amazon before they took them off (I guess they're back?).

Bandoo, if you can vape at 7 and are smoking at 12, something is definitely wrong with your unit. At 12 even after a 10-15 min warm up I am getting just a nice cool vapor. Even at 4 or 5 o'clock is is difficult to combust.

I have an arizer tower it's pretty good. It makes me cough so bad though.. It is at 375 because I feel like the temperature is a little off. Does anyone else have this same coughing problem. . I thought about buying a volcano but the price was just to much. Thx everyone.

you may be looking for this thread unless you are looking to get a dbv?

If it makes you cough, I would suggest getting a small bubbler for water filtration/cooling.

Hi Audiodelic,
Thanks for the reply.
Would you please set it to just on (very lowest setting) and see if it can vape or if it too cool to vaporize or anything. And if the element is glowing at that setting yet.
At the very lowest setting on mine it's already glowing medium red and vaping and if I draw slowly it already gives dense clouds.
It seems too hot for the lowest setting. Shouldn't the lowest setting be almost off?
What do you think?
Thanks,

The DBV was my first vape and I have a lot of love for it. As of late it has not been getting any use, mainly because I have everything all nice and clean and I don't want to get it dirty. It's kinda on display in what I like to call my "Vaporization Station". I think I may fire it up today for old times sake. I'm sure it won't let me down and it should be a nice change of pace. Looking forward to getting reacquainted with a dear old friend...

Hi Bandoo,

We supply 220v ones.

They say every unit has its own sweet spot!

All the ones we have do glow on the lowest setting but glow brighter on the highest setting.

We have had reports that they do vaporize on the lowest setting and most keep it under 12 oclock for optimal vaping. Once the vapor is exhausted at the lower ranges you can turn it up over 12 oclock to even full blast to squeeze the last goodness out.

Hope that helps.

Hi Vaporlot,
I wonder if this specific to the 220 volt models?
"We have had reports that they do vaporize on the lowest setting".

Chris at Seventh Floor says that is not normal to be vaping at the lowest setting.

I personally think it needs a stronger dimmer unit in them for here or at least mine.
I have already changed the dimmer and heating element received from Seventh Floor.

I am plugging the dbv first into a separate dimmer unit set at about half power.

With that then the dbv has a normal range using it's dial. Cool at lowest and combusting at max.

I am probably going to swap out some resistors in the dimmer unit and see if I can't find a better heating range without having to use a the separate dimmer.

Hey Bandoo,

Ok good luck mate :)

I haven't actually queried this with 7th Floor, it was just assumed this is how the units are as the ones we have always had all seem to be similar.

This separate dimmer thing sounds funky, how do you hook that up to the main unit?

well the question for you is how hard are you sucking? The draw speed can really make a difference in these vapes.

I just have this old dimmer unit lying around that plugs into the wall socket with it's own socket and has a dial to adjust the electricity level. I just leave it set at half all the time so when I turn on the vape itself it (the dbv) functions in the proper range. It's not a hassle or anything.

It would be nice to figure out the proper resistors to use so the internal dimmer operates properly.
I will let you know what happens and the fix when I do it.

I got a few other vapes around here an Aroma Classic (works ok, too big a wand) A Hot Box (nice but no adjusting the level). And a Vapman.

The DBV works the best though.

I know about slow and fast drawing. The issue is whether it's supposed to be ready to vape at just the lowest setting or not.
It should be too cool to vape no?, like a car at idle at the lowest position, crank it up to 10 or 11 position to reach PVT (proper vaping temp)

Hello All:

This is my very first post. I am totally new to the vape thing. My DBV arrives this afternoon, and I am psyched to spend my Friday night getting to know one another. :D I chose the DBV based on the rave reviews on this and other forums. I just want to say a quick thanks to the members here for running a top notch site. It seems like a wonderful community and the sum total of the knowledge and experience here is truly staggering.

So there are mainly two things I am wondering about, and both relate to the same issue: I am a total lightweight. My past experience, for years, has been to take either one, or at most two tokes off a small pipe. That's all I need to be all set. The spousal unit does not partake, so 99% of the time, it is just me The pipe has a screw on lid, so I would just keep everything in there until I could no longer get a hit. Then it was out with the ashes and in with a new bit of bud. I have never used a grinder. I would only pinch off what would fit in the bowl and go.

Now all that is going to change. From reading various posts here I have learned that for efficient vaping, I need to grind. Then comes the load. I have read that so long as I can cover the screen, I should be OK. I just wonder if that will be too much material for my solitary tokes. Ideally, I would have liked to find the DBV equivalent of a one-hitter. I looked at some of the log style vapes, but they seemed to have very long warm up times and were best plugged in all the time. I am a super light user, and only
partake once or twice per week. So I wanted something that would heat up fast when the time came. (Kind of sounds like a Cialis commercial, doesn't it?) Is it possible to use the DVB as a single or double hitter? And is it possible to only grind enough for 1-2 hits, so I don't have staleness to contend with?

My second question relates to what to do with the material left in the chamber after my one or two hits. I have read about being able to reuse it. Do people keep a second stash of "used" weed? I also read about cooking with it, but I will bet I never get to that. I just want to be as efficient as possible with my vaping.

So any hints you can throw me regarding being a micro-user would be greatly appreciated. I realize my particular situation might have possibly led me to a different choice of a vape, but I am confident I can make the DBV work beautifully if I have some guidance. And thanks again to all of you for being so generous with your time and experience.

Congrats on your purchase, you made a good decision buying da buddha. As long as you grind enough to just cover the screen you should be good to go. And you dont necessarily have to vape it all in one sitting if you can devise something to plug up the wand so what you have left over doesnt fall out. The main reason for grinding is that you want to expose maximum surface area for even vaping. I would recommend the mendocino mulcher if you dont already have a grinder. The vape experience is more subtle than smoking and involves a bit of technique with temperature control and draw both being contributing factors. Theres a learning curve, but its not steep with da buddha. The taste is more subtle too, and most vaporists value the clean taste as much as anything else. Everyone has their own technique. Mine is to turn on the dbv to full. The heating element will glow bright. Grind your herb and place as much as you want on the screen, maybe an eighth of an inch. Turn the temp down to what would be 9 or 10 oclock on a clock. Insert the wand and let it get warm for about a minute. Then draw slowly. You might not think you are getting anything at first but you are. Increasing the temp incrementally will vape more essential elements. By the time you hit noon on the dial you should be roasting it to a nice brown color and crunchy. For now, just stash your abv in a container and save it. At some point you will figure out what you want to do with it. I hope that helps. Happy vaping.

Out to lunch
for efficient vaping, I need to grind
Not really, but with a clean grinder you lose less vs. breaking it up with your fingers. If you want one, just get a 2 piece grinder. You can get high quality for under $20, using an FC discount- http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/retailer-discussion-discounts.1802/

I just wonder if that will be too much material for my solitary tokes.
With a whip vape like this, it doesn't really matter how much you load, since you can just put the whip down and pick it up again when you want another hit.

My second question relates to what to do with the material left in the chamber after my one or two hits. I have read about being able to reuse it. Do people keep a second stash of "used" weed? I also read about cooking with it, but I will bet I never get to that. I just want to be as efficient as possible with my vaping.
If you don't want to save the remains (ABV), but do want to get the most out of it, just raise the temp and vape it some more. Your most efficient method is to start with a low to medium temp and turn the dial up a little as your vapor output trails off. Find the vapor range on your unit by starting low temp and see where you first start to get vapor production-obviously the low end. The high end will be where your ABV is very dark brown to black. Your draw speed also plays a part in the temp you get when you hit, so it's best to find a draw that suits you and stick to it. A really hard draw will draw in a lot of cold air and drop the temp, and a slow easy draw will give you more heat in the bowl. Higher temp vapor will be more harsh and thick, so be prepared for that. A whip vape like the DBV is considered a big hitter, so you may well find yourself getting quite a bit more than you're used to, with a small pipe. Experiment with how much you load and how long you draw, and you'll find a combination that suits you.

It certainly does. Thank you. I really like your idea of plugging up the wand and just keeping it in there until it is done. Does anyone have any hints on a way to do this well? I am guessing something airtight. Thanks again, hop.
