The account for WTF2uMrMan has been banned because:

I have been a long time reader and participator of this forum...

The rules state:
  • Multiple accounts are not allowed. One account per member. If you believe you have a valid reason for having more than one account from the same IP address please contact staff beforehand. Failure to do so may result in a ban.
This is probably symbolic since the account was unlikely to be used again. Please do not make posts commenting on this decision, attacks on WTF2uMrMan, or attempts to guess who that might be.

Cool, that was over quick. Thank you FC moderators.
IF I was wrong, it was still fun making some connections.
Life is still always interesting around the boarded up Zapville terminal.
Oh yes. Today is a very special day. Every Halloween has been special for the last 4 years and will always be special.
Have fun everybody. Save all the candy for the recycle bin.

My thoughts and energies often turn to you and your family Rick. Stay strong brother.

Regarding war on drugs, money, etc. A line from George Clinton's song, "U.S. Customs Coast Guard Dope Dog" comes to mind. It is why (aside from those who sincerely believe it is dangerous) the legalization effort faces stiff opposition.

"The bigger the headache the bigger the pill
Take your medicine cause you gonna be ill when I tell you the deal on dope.
There's more profit in pretending that we're stopping it, than selling it."

Save all the candy for the recycle bin.

Sorry Rick, but as a very protective parent I must eat the candy before my kids get to it. ;) (you're right, of course, but I'm weak)

Rick, do you know of a website where we can get information on the case? Something like http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=Dg1XAAAAIBAJ&sjid=CO8DAAAAIBAJ&pg=1492,259356 or http://www.justice.gov/usao/id/news/2012/aug/busby08202012.html? I see lots of articles saying that someone pled guilty and then saying what the maximum punishment is, but digging deeper the actual punishment seems to be much lighter than the maximum, e.g. this guy (humorously, last name Stoner): https://www.idcourts.us/repository/...3994&county=Ada&displayName=Stoner,+Anthony+J

Good luck, Rick, and let us know what we can do.

Rick's proceeding isn't criminal, it's civil:

Time for some news, bad news.
The State of Idaho has filed a civil suit to take our property which includes our families two houses and two shops.

That's not particularly good news. As Judge Wopner was fond of reminding us, civil suits are decided on preponderance of the evidence, not proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

Rick

Zapman
pakalolo is correct. Big differences between civil and criminal law proceedings. Civil law is "loose-er" because the plaintiff is only after "value" from another citizen. Criminal law attempts to take ones liberty which is valued much higher than ones money in our society(EXCEPT in the WOD). We are learning much about civil law and will surely learn much more. One thing we have learned is civil law is also for addressing grievances against someone who has materially hurt another, especially through malice. The beauty of that one is we have a long time to decide whether or how to proceed on that front.

OK, Bounty Hunters. I love to watch Gunsmoke, the longest running network TV series(or close if I am wrong). It is about Marshall Dillon, a US Marshall in Dodge City, Kansas. Lots of excellent drama and sometimes the good guy gets killed. Often a bad guy will get away. It is a bit more "real life" in that sometimes the ending really pisses you off. There are several common themes throughout each episode(like "lets go over to the Long Branch for a drink with Kitty and Doc Adams"). One "attitude" that surprised me at first was the universal disdain for Bounty Hunters. Nobody likes them, even Marshall Dillon. Bounty Hunters were generally low life folks that would shoot someone in the back for money. Brutal mean people disguised as heroes. Only thing is, everybody knew the truth about them.

Some things never change.

Rick,

Love is that which enables choice
Love is always stronger than fear
Always choose on the basis of love

and you are doing just that :) I wish you luck in these tough times. Trust in the universe and it will provide amazing things.

Any date as to when the site will be back up? I mean given the circumstances I can see why you guys would retire, but people love your vaporizers. Hope I'm not coming off as a douche:shrug:.

Sure is hard to sleep in on the first morning back to regular time! Back to dark at 4 o'clock PM for awhile.

HERBavore, we were in the process of a slow and ordered retirement, including initial talks with our main competitor, Dave at UD. Two days after returning home we were invaded by lots and lots of police and shut down. They found out we do not grow or sell MJ(as they were told by a liar) and left after 6 hours with no one charged with anything. They did take EVERYTHING Aromazap related, including all our computers and a bunch of financial records. We have no idea when we will get anything back or if we ever will be able to go back in business. We are doing what we can with good legal help to get our affairs back in order but that will take more time. We surely wish this would all go away but it will take time and we cannot change that.

That was my main reason for wanting to post today. A few words on where we are with this event. The only word I have is Limbo. No news other than what I have previously mentioned. This is a strange one for sure. It is strange in so many ways, like us knowing the person who dropped the dime is always watching us on FC. That requires me to be tuned a little tighter than I like but that is the way it is.

Read post #9144 carefully for some real insight into what we have been dealing with for many years. The poster is the same person who filed a "report" on us which resulted in our current situation. My immediate suspicion when I saw the post was that it was that person. Since then we have quickly reviewed many past Emails to our son and me from the same person and have found almost identical lines, not to mention the general scolding theme, complete with a recap of the scolding in a final paragraph.

That post really made me feel good because somebodys chain got pulled enough to make that post(#9144). It is not easy for me to play such games but when I have to, a response like 9144 is great in my book. Once again, an indelible signature, just like on the day of the invasion.

So when all Zap friends here at FC see me go off on some tangent like Bounty Hunters or Integrity or The Covet Commandment, you may now understand more of the story.

I also want to say to a past competitor who expressed concern, etc for some guessing going on here last week, we knew it was not you who posted 9144. I knew you would never do that. I knew only one person would say that. Basically the poster said "buckle up Rick, give Idaho your house for making Aromazap". I also want to say thank you for your good wishes for us and we feel the same for you two. Glad to hear from you, through a friend. Email us if you would like. It's all over now.

Blog, etc on hold. This event needs to go through a chapter or two before we ask for community help. Who knows how the chapters will end? Much thanks to a dear old friend who did send us a big one for legal fee help.

Just a little quickie this Saturday morning.
I finally chatted with the neighbor that sees everything. He lives a mile or so out from us. He told me that he and his wife counted 30 cars/trucks/van going in and out of our place on 7/25. That supports our guess of at least 40 LEOS at our place that day.
There will be no more updates on this thread about our legal battle with the State of Idaho until further notice. You all know why. If anybody would like a bit more info you can Email me. I will only respond to folks I can identify from our past dealings through Aromazap. That would be friends.

I noted while logging on today I have a new follower on my thread, from Eastern Idaho, who joined FC on 7/29. That is interesting.......................................

We understand and I think you are right to remain circumspect about the case, Rick. I hope you will still check in with us from time to time and let us know if we can help.

In the year 2012, in the greatest country on earth, a "servant of the people" is spying on a tax paying citizen because he made and sold a device that can be used to vaporize cannabis.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours, Rick!

I have been putting a bead of ice wax on the top of each load in the stem. Works great but occasionally I have not been careful enough and allowed drops of liquified wax to get onto the screen in my rockzap heat port. It mainly boils off but some residue accumulated and eventually part of the screen became gunky and clogged. I was thinking maybe leave it off for a while and apply some alcohol with a cotton swab. The holes in the screen are too small to poke with most things. Yesterday I tried poking it with a length of discarded light gauge high E string from a guitar. Goes nicely through the holes in the screen!

Rick

Zapman
The heatport screen in the Rockzap is as close to bulletproof as can be. You will NOT dislodge the screen in any way. Poking at it with a probe of some kind will not hurt the screen, assuming you use reasonable care in the process. The screen is sandwiched between two solid pieces of SS with a machined fit, then the two pieces are welded together.

I don't get it... (I admit to being slow at times~)I do not think that any dogs were responsible for locating any Zaps.
I do not think any Zaps were hidden, for dogs to need to "search"~

Actually the drug dog at the invasion party was instructed by the handler at least three times to hit on Pats Zap by the couch before it finally "alerted". We watched that happen. "please Fido, alert to this as this is the big bad Aromazap"
The doggie alerts over our packages that they nabbed in the random stings of course netted no drugs. My guess is those dogs would hit in some way on any random sampling of packages from a USPS terminal in a legal MMJ state or anywhere for that matter.

Just want to stop in and tell you all that our family is doing very good. The legal drama thrown at us is only making us stronger and closer, as it should if dealt with properly. We are still busy with some farm stuff, if you can believe that. Our farm produces almost all our food now that we have some good strong younger bodies around. Mike has been here four years and this last year we added Audra. They were married in a blue moon ceremony August 31st. Audra is a fine addition to our family and our mutual relationship is growing stronger every day. We are very happy for Mike now that he has such a fine partner who loves him for who he is.

Going to be a great day today. I will tell you a little bit about it later tonight or tomorrow morning.

It seems a bit weird making back to back posts but we do understand how many out there may feel we are somewhat "tainted" now with enemies following our thread.

As Martha says....."it's a good thing"

Thanks again for all the support, in public on this forum and/or in private.

Nobody feels this thread is tainted, Rick.
People wish there were Zaps to discuss, and new concepts in Zapism to embrace - and all of us are in Limbo.
I will make a new Zap vid soon......
meanwhile....
You guys remember the original Plain Jane Glass Tooties for the CRZ, right?

Rick

Zapman
We never know on the short glass Tooties. They may become available some day again. Who knows what the future will bring? Got to thinking about Tim, the glass guy we know. His business is in Washington. I'll bet he is a very happy busy man these days. Yes! Washington voters!

Yesterday was a very good day. It was the first day since the invasion on 7/25 that we got to say........"Hey, wait just a minute!". The beginning of another chapter in the current day drug war saga of "The Shuttered Zapville" started yesterday. Of course I will not give any information for obvious reasons, obvious especially to those following our thread lately. I will say Pat and I finally got to experience something that has not been possible since our home was invaded by 40 LEOS. We both felt a new breeze of fresh air...................just a little one but ohhh so fresh.............a good day and it was even a Wednesday!

Got to thinking a little about our past experience with prohibition in the '20s. You know, Al Capone, Bugsy Moran, etc. All those bad guys selling illegal booze and everything else they did. In those days they had finks too. "Ratfinks" they called them. In those days most of the finks were a bit smarter than today. They had to be because of the consequences for doing what they did. They knew if they were going to rat on someone, they better first check to be sure other people knew about what they were ratting on. They knew if that was not the case, if only the one fink knew the info given to 'the man'.............well, you all see where I am going. Even a ratfink has to have some smarts to keep the web of deceit alive.

Help us celebrate another good day. Have a big pull for the story of Zapville.
