Hey guys, thanks for the update on the weed law...so it does sound like they are starting to get down from the tree but its still not good enough...it will be interesting to see if they allow foreigners ...

Anyway this is great great news and this might not be the last Cannabis Cup...

So Kush Strains are all North American??? I'm talking about Banana Kush and such... Bluedream?

m0sh,

here for the chicks
I don't think this will be the last Cup, but this can't be progress either :(

The original Kush (oh, how I miss thee) comes from Afghanistan, Northern Pakistan and North-Western India. According to wiki anyways

But all the later strains with the added flavors (blueberry, vanilla, etc) might very well originate from the USA, I really don't know. Flskwat might though.

well originally kush is a landrace indeed, but I think a lot of those kushes don't have that much actual kush in their make-up, a bit similar to our hazes.
supposedly cannabis is the plant with the most different smells and tastes, red diesel(repelsteelthe had it last year) tasted somewhat like strawberry too.
blue dream is indeed a typical american strain too, never seen it around here.

I did some googling to find that of the 4 weeks again:
http://www.openbareorderecht.nl/ind...lubcriterium-en-ingezetenencriterium-wietpas/

Ah yes, that is one of the points from the original wietpas. If you look at the top of the page you'll see it is dated January 3th of 2012.

In the new agreement they don't specify the 'ingezetencriterium' or 'residential-criteria', not interesting enough to translate btw, Mosh ;) Instead they specifically state that the details will be left open so every municipal can fill those in themselves in the way they feel is most appropriate to the local situation. We'll just have to wait and see what that translates to where we live I'm afraid. I don't believe our current local government is very liberal towards marijuana though, so I'm preparing for the worst myself.

There's a part two & three to that ^^

It doesn't sound like a dutch event at all btw

yes you are right, since they only name the '' ingezetenencriterium'' and nothing about it I assumed they would keep it the way they already mentioned it in the '' gedoogcriteria''.
I interpreted those details more along the lines of the distance from schools, amount of coffeeshops etc.

but I guess we''ll just have to wait and see what this will mean, I know next to nothing about the local politics in leeuwarden(I know the mayor's name, that's it), so I have no idea what the local attitude towards cannabis is.

I just found a little more info on that. I'll try to collect everything related in to one post and post it in the proper thread later on, but I felt it should be here too for accuracy since we're already discussing it.

The birth certificate would be valid for 3 months, after that you'd need to renew it. So in short the state would make another 40 euro's per stoner a year. Stupid idiots, just legalize it and tax us properly if you want to make money on this.

Basically nothing changes, just the registration duty of the coffeeshop-owners disappears, but otherwise it's still the same old wietpass just without calling it such any more. You're a joke, PVDA.

So I just heard the law is cancelled for 100%... is it true? guess there will be Cannabis cup at 2013 after all :)

Honestly it was terrible.

High Times is a huge let down.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. Did you at least enjoy Amsterdam itself?

Apparently you can still visit coffeeshops in A'dam next year too btw. Not sure what happens after that though. Politicians just seem to play vague games atm, laying down rules that can interpreted in several ways. Things do seem a little more positive at the moment anyway, so lets just enjoy that for the time being.

I will try to layout everything here tomorrow or so...right now I need some sleep

I did enjoy my time but it does getting old - this was the my forth visit...its getting to damn expensive...and all these imports or I dunno that feature in the competition were well expensive (12euro minimum)

Next time with my girl or no way I'm going there...AGAIN
