Mine was sitting on the front porch when I got home. Shipped on Monday, it arrived in two days, and I'm on the east coast. On first inspection it looks like the others we've seen here- perfect.

I'm liking the looks of the FC logo better on the delivered product than I did in the pics on his site. Makes me wish I'd gone for it. Also has me seriously thinking of buying another w/logo while the price is right. I know someone who would happily take one off my hands at the discount price once he sees it.

What I feel in this thread is Sam's workload just shot through the roof.
Hopefully he'll get an ongoing boost in sales for his efforts on this FC special.

I'll take one off your hands if you'll send it to Canada.

I feel bad for all interested parties outside the US, but I'm not offering one for sale. I already have a buyer and if for some reason he wasn't interested, I doubt I'd obtain a 2nd unit. Offering or asking in the threads is selling or soliciting, and is likely to collect an official warning. Your post, strictly speaking, is a rules violation. If you want to ask a US buyer to help you out, use PM, not a post.

There's nothing preventing Canadians (or anyone outside the lower 48) from arranging a 'buy and ship' transaction with a US member, as a favor. And anyone is also welcome to buy an extra to sell in the Classifed section, to someone across the border/pond. The Classifieds are not meant to be used for profit taking though, so any extra $ added to Sam's price should only be there for the extra shipping cost.

It's here!

First impressions, this thing is thick and heavy for the size!! Glass looks good, clean, the shower head is a little off center, but not enough to bother me or effect performance. Perc is nice and smooth, definitely stacks well and doesn't chug. This is a quality piece for sure, and I am very happy to have been able to get such a great price on one. I have not used the original mouthpiece yet, but I did have Sam make me a custom bent neck that works well at my desk. Here are a few pics... also able to double the shower perc by using my Hydracirc.

sorry not the best pics in the world, I had just finished making a vid w/ the Cloud... :ko:

Jam, did Sam make that angled male/male adapter that you used to hook up the hydratube too? That looks really cool. I think I "need" one of those adapters as well.

I got the adapter as part of an oil dome/nail kit at the HaywoodGlass etsy store... :\ but I just did a search on it, and I think Haywood may have been kicked off Etsy or he changed his store name. I would check PlanetVape or maybe HighPriority Glass or ALT...

I see PV has the 22.5 degree and 45 degree male/male 18mm in stock. Do you know the angle of the adapter that you are using?
:peace:

I'm not exactly sure of the angle, Here is a pic of what I bought. It is 18/14 the mouthpiece joint on the GBD bub is 14mm... says 45 on the listing.

I've placed my 'Purchase Order,' using the code 'fuck it,' and in the additional instructions box, I typed "Fuck Combustion 'stamp' and free perc brace." My total came to $167.15 with shipping, and tax. I received an email shortly afterwards, informing me that I could either write a check/money order, or "To pay by credit card, please confirm your order and reply "I want to pay by credit card." We will send you an email invoice where you can securely make your purchase thru Paypal.
Once confirmation and payment has been received we will begin work order immediately."

So, I replied saying "I want to pay by credit card, please." I haven't heard anything back yet. That was a couple hours ago. I'm a little worried that if it's some kind of automated system, I may have thrown it off by saying please. But I'm not all that worried. I called anyhow, just to be safe, and left a voice mail. I'm just looking to pay for this sooner than later. I'm sure he (sam) is probably very busy with all of these orders, amongst the day-to-day of his shop.

Hopefully I can pay for it tonight, so things get going. I'd love to have this sometime in the beginning of next week, if that's not too optimistic! Although, regardless of when I get the it, I am grateful to have found this piece in time to get it at such an amazing price! From all of the pictures/videos/reviews so far, the piece really seems to be of exceptional quality. IMO, the piece is still a good, if not great buy, at the $199 price tag, if it hits the way everyone says it does.

Thanks to everyone here for posting pictures/videos/detailed info on this piece, from the first post by placetime, to the most recent video/pics by Jambandphan03, and everything in between...And to Sam(GBD)/Placetime for creating / facilitating this project.

I just added the extra downstem, it's a tall 18mm joint. I added more water, and boy does this thing move the water around! Here are a few pics of the downstem in place, and the water level...

Here is a video, I put A LOT of water in for this vid, I have since removed some of it, that was just too much drag for my taste:

Awesome pictures Tweak! Thanks! Could anyone who has this piece, tell me the length inside the 'showerhead down-tube?' I'm curious if a certain downstem that I have will fit in there.

My down stem is 4 and 7/8" long, from the top of its male GONG joint, or 3 and 7/8" from the bottom of it's male GONG joint.

The downstem I am using in mine is exactly the same length as yours looks to be.
Good to know, in the sense that I know it will work. I was hoping to here though, that your supplied removable downstem was shorter than what I posted. From your pics / video, it looks like there is room for an even longer diffuser to be inserted, allowing for lower water levels.

I know I'll definitely be picking up a couple different downstems, after I get this piece and know what the max length is that I could go.

I am very tempted to order a second one of these while the price is still so low... oh but I really shouldn't. It's such a nice piece though. The only thing I wish I could change right now, is a way to lock down the mouthpiece with a clip. If I am not careful, using the 45 degree angle adapter/bent neck it will swivel due to it's own weight. I just have to remove it when not in use. Other than that, this thing is a beast of a bubbler. It purrs when I hit it, and feels really solid.

I have zero experience with nice glass before I bought my Cloud. IMO this bubbler is so much nicer than the tube that came with my Cloud and for half the price of what it goes for. My OCD is having a blast thinking off all the ways I could improve the experience with a different downstem and mouthpiece!

I sure feel fortunate to have been a part of our community when this was offered.

Sam sends the invoices himself, as far as I could tell.
Note on the invoice:
Thanks [deadc0ffee] You the man!

Note on the invoice:

Yeah, I've been in touch with him via email a few times tonight, and I received my invoice. I payed for my bubbler, and it seems to have gone through fine.

I also sent him an email, with one of the pictures Jambandphan posted, showing the length of the removable downstem, and how it looked like there was room for a longer one.
0GanV.jpg

I said something along the lines of, 'I would really like something that is longer than what's in this picture, but it's not a big deal at all...I'd be fine with the length pictured.'

It's not a built in part of the piece, and down stems are relatively inexpensive in the grans scheme of things. I really won't mind getting one that isn't as long as it could be, because different water levels provide different diffusion, etc...

I'm just excited to get this piece!

Ok, so after messing around with the water level, this seems to be working well for me now. Just under a 1/2" over the slits. I am using the extra downstem, mainly so I don't put so much wear on the main joint, and it seems to be working well. Here is a pic of the water level, and a quick stacking vid...

about 1/4" works better on mine, but my downstem drops down further.

I've got these 2 now. 2nd one is a custom length, which I've ordered another one about 3/4" longer. Looks like it needs to be 5 1/4". The showerhead is the perfect size/shape for this piece.

18/14 6-slit showerhead

I like the looks of his work, and I've though about getting an adapter or stem off of him a few times, but never have. I guess I'll have to give him a shot some time.

FWIW, my invoice number is #0600, for the FCbubbler. Sam got back to me, and said he wouldn't mind trying to send me a downstem that is a little on the longer side, to sit lower in the showerhead :) I'm pleased so far with the communication, etc.
