Want to pull the trigger tonight on a vaporizer. Confused between the pax and the inh. The only thing thats making me lean towards the inh, is the constant cleaning needed for the pax. Another issue is, i need it by Friday in vancouver, im going for a trip on the Sunday. I posted this last week, would like a few more suggestions.

I'd consider myself to be on the heavier side of the Pax-user spectrum. I vape 7-8 grams of good bud a week and am constantly throwing a hearty helping of kief in just for good measure. I clean my Pax every 4-5 days. It takes less than 10 minutes and that shit shines. I've had my Pax for just 1 day short of 1 month and have had a couple temp light issues and a stuck MP which were all 100% remedied with a cleaning. So far still 100% satisfied with my purchase, I love my Pax...On another note, I think it's about time we start to hypothesize about some kickass Pax accessories? Vaporbong or whip attachment? Carrying case? How about an overpriced official Pax vape tool? External battery pack anyone? (Ok that last one might be a bit far fetched.)

I have contacted Ploom a couple of times requesting they make a water tool attachment. Maybe if they keep getting requests, over and over, from different people, they may look into it. ...OR some ingenious person here can come up with something to sell on the side ... Tubing does work well enough, but I would rather have something more solid, the tubing can be floppy.

The tubing with a reverse male on male joint have been very good to me. Cut the tubing just long enough to fit the male end and the mouthpiece and I get very little to no flopping on my mini bong. I've been able to milk it on low, move up to medium after a few stirs and I don't even mess with the high setting. I get HIGHLY medicated. Pun absolutely intended.

When not using the pax, is it better to let the pax sit on the charger? Like I do my phone all night, or should I take it off?

I've been leaving mine on the charger for long periods, haven't really noticed any problems. I say if it bothers you to have it charging past the green light, take it off. I have not read anything about leaving it on there being bad.

I just know that batteries have memories, and some things it doesn't bother them to leave on the charger, and others, it will kill them. I know that a battery that I had in my phone the longer I left it on the charger, the faster it would die. So I would charge it during the day, when it needed it and then put it in airplane mode at night to save the battery.

I just ddn't know if people had problems with it staying on the charger or not..

FINALLY...

OK I already have cleaning OCD but no matter what I would do and how I would treat it, my pax would have the mouthpiece/temp./light issue after half-a-day (please keep in mind that it is a classified I received not perfectly clean so the problem might be an old build up I was not able to identify).

I decided to find a DEFINITIVE solution to my spring/mouthpiece little frictions that creates the electrical dis-contact so problematic. I remembered I had this little bottle

from my Braun razor that is used to lubricate its motor. I decided to put one drop in the space described by Jam in her tuto. (the spring zone outside the internal stem of the pax), 1 drop only...then a few slides of the mouthpiece, a few clicks later, AND THE MOUTHPIECE NOW SLIDES LIKE EVER and my pax has been rocking for 48 hours with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL! YEEEEEEPI!

I have an idea. For those who still use tobacco why not use your pax for tobacco only and see if the same thing happens after a few weeks. If it does great it is just how it is made, if not then it is just not made for our herb.

From what I have read, tobacco vaporizes at a much lower temperature than herb. I am thinking the Pax was developed not for tobacco, otherwise it would run at a much lower temp, wouldn't it?

The Pax absolutely works with tobacco. That's how it's marketed. The demonstration video on the website uses tobacco.

It is wise to keep the temperature setting "button' up above the hole, when using Iso.
I did it with the button below, for convenience of lighting!

I may be looking to drop out of the Pax world. She's nice but I don't like how even on low setting the AVB still comes out dark. No matter what. My Low medium and high experience seems to have more to do with warm up times and less about maintaining a constant temperature. I don't like my bud overly dark. My luck lately...

I flew down to LA with my PAX. I just cleaned it before I got on the plane. I decided to pack it in the box it came with. I could not get the charger to fix back in the box very well. I just thew the charger in with my other electronics. I packed that box inside one of those odor proof bags. I threw that in my checked bag. I ended up using it on the trip a couple of times. I forgot to bring pipe cleaners. I just cleaned out the oven and mouth piece. I packed everything back up in the odor proof bag (OPSAK) and tossed it back in my luggage. Everything made it back home okay.

My friends down in LA seemed to think it was a pretty interesting little device. It worked well to pass around between a few people.

I always wondered if those bags were necessary but I guess better be safe then sorry. I don't think there are drug dogs at local flights but who knows. It changes day by day. If anyone cares I did go past a drug dog years ago when I combusted and still no issue. That was when we were on high alert right after 9/11

Most dogs in the air ports aren't drug dogs. You can't really train dogs to sniff more than one thing, it costs a bunch of money. Most of the dogs there are sniffing for bombs or residue from stuff that makes bombs which means there is no way they would be able to tell the smell of MJ is bad.

On a Pax related note, I brought my Pax to a party the other night and everyone there loved it. Most people there had not vaped before and said how much more enjoyable the high was. On another note, they had a bong going around and I combusted for the first time in a while. I can't tell you how unenjoyable that hit was, it tasted like burnt feet and sewer water.

Agreed on burnt feet/sewer water but I don't remember tasting either in rl. Vapes ruined us or rather made us healthier.

Yea I don't think you need to do it. I had extras. The PAX was in my checked bags... but I had around 8 grams of my medicine on my carry on. I bought the bags for my medicine and had a extra one. I just tossed the PAX in there as extra protection.

Also if you use the PAX box you might want to throw it in a bag anyway to keep the top/insides from separating, or use some tape to keep them together.

I was in the airport yesterday and being a gadget freak i had to check those electronics stores before boarding.

Something that caught my eye was a portable laptop charger. It said it could deliver 90 watts of power. I didnt check output voltage because it was only later that i figured it might work for the PAX too, but i am sure laptops do not run on 5 volts.

Is there anyone who can tell me more about this? If it works im glad to pay the 80 bucks for it. Im sure it will hold a couple charges for this sleek device.

I was at an Auto Zone and the had a DC to AC converter that handled 90 watts and I only paid 20 bucks for it. Just plug the converter into your 12 volt 'cigarette lighter' socket in your car, plug in the Pax charger to the converter and you are good to go my friend!

Phoenix has dogs on leashes walking around with TSA officers, so I would say it is not improbable to expect dogs inside airports whether local or international flying is to be.
