Since logs (typically) use such small loads, I think the Vapo2 (which also requires a smallish load) is right up there in efficiency. It encourages you to really get the last of the goodies from each small load, so in that sense it is very efficient.
If someone could only make a Vapolution in a wooden body, I'd buy it. I'm looking at you, Hippie Dickie.
You can get away with using pieces/chunks in a lot of models, but most benefit from using ground herb. With the Vapo it's the lack of a screen that dictates using pieces. Unlike with the herbalAire, which also does better with chunks, you have to be careful with the Vapo to make sure the chunk of herb is getting fully vaped. Using more with ground herb is a tendency, like using more with a big hitter, that you just have to recognize and deal with. If you're not careful to fully vape your chunks, you can also waste herb that way.
Welcome to vaping. The vapolutions seems like a solid vape and a good bargain. And it sounds like you've got a good technique. I tend to tinker a bit with load sizes, grind, draw intensity and so forth. You're right, the effects are more subtle and come on more gradually, but I don't think I would ever go back to combustion at this point.I just wanted to follow up with my experiences so far with the Vapolution 2.0. Keeping in mind that I have no basis of comparison whatsover (yes, a total and comoplete vaping virgin...), I must say that I just love it. It is impossible for me to separate vaping in general (as opposed to combustion) from the specific virtues of the Vapolution, but so far SO GOOD!
The feeling is more subtle. Not weak, but subtle. Combustion used to knock me over the head. As I have read more here on our site, I have learned that much of what I was feeling was the ill effects of combustion, and not the THC. I so much prefer the purer feeling, not to mention the lack of nasty smoke smells and tastes.
I keep reading about the learning curve with the Vapolultion, as compared to other vapes. Maybe I am just having beginners luck. Or maybe I am not getting the most out of my loads and I don't even know it. But by simply folliwng the guidance of others here, I have had what I consider to be very good results.
Beginning with loading the stem, it seems like a no-brainer. Plug it up tight and you cannot draw. Too small of a load and you lose the friction fit that keeps it from falling out. Finding a middle gound seemed pretty easy. As for heat, I let it warm up for about 10 minutes, then with the temp gague at al little before 12:00,I put the loaded stem in for about a minute. Then draw, nice and steady. Viola!
I have yet to experience the vivid milky clouds others have talked about, and I have only used the AIWB. As long as I am using up all the goodness in the load, I don't care whether I can see clouds or not. I think i may have short-changed myself with the first couple of loads and not hit them enought. Last time, I took 4-5 long draws, turning the heat up slightly as I went. That one crept up on me pretty good!
So all in all, I have to say that I love this vape. And I just wanted to thank you all again for helping me discover vaping, as well as for guiding me to this particular vape. What a great community!

You surely left that too long before cleaning ,how long exactly? looks like combustion black.personally I like the light weight it seems like this thing always ends up in my hands I dont really use a whip much just the wonderbowl and the large bowl connected directly to a 14mm GonG with a little EQ tubing the vapolution is so light it stands up all by itself

How often you clean is personal preference, and letting it get kind of gunked up makes it easier to reclaim. As far as looking like combustion, as a long time Vapo owner, I can verify that you don't need combustion (never happened to me with this model) to have it look like that.PDwasmy1st said:
