Gear Best glass for dabs?

This has probably been asked before - is a small rig like the Bates X Worm Diffusion Pump better than a larger piece (Mobius 60T, etc) for dabs? I have a crappy small bubbler that is somehow smoother than my Mobius Matrix tube, but only for dabs (vaping with the Cloud the Mobius pieces are much better than the small bubbler.) If small is better for concentrates for some reason, I'd like to get a nicer bubbler. Asking since it doesn't make much sense to me that the smaller bubbler would be smoother than the Mobius Matrix Nano...

Hash oil condenses on glass much much more than smoke and herb vapor, so thats one of the main reasons small pieces with minimal volume are best for dabs. Increases efficiency and flavor big time.

You're getting more oil vapor with less time to cool down with a small piece, so the smaller=smoother certainly isn't a normal observation.

The bates pump is going to have even less condensation than a regular small bubbler due to the diffusion mechanics, which is why its pretty much the bees knees in my opinion.

Thanks! How is the temp of the vapor when using the Bates Pump? Hot vapor makes me cough way too much :(

can i stick my male joint in there?
my current favorite dab setup is this: lighter is only for size comparison not combusting, hahaha all my friends like this piece over all my other stuff, go figure.
just a cheap no brand 2 hole perc mini di bub. but hella smacks.

it was actually gifted to me so i have no clue. but i doubt its anything really special. but it has become my favorite piece since i can literally just throw it in my pocket or put it in a cup holder. friggin love this thing. hahah

it does feel solid and the perc is welded to the bottom making it a super solid traveling piece.

really cool piece, though the first thought I have is the heat from the vapor would burn my throat (still a n00b dabber), does something that small really cool down the vapor at all?

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!

Don't do such big dabs but rather more small ones in succession (is what I do, because nothing feels more wasteful than a coughing fit ;) )

Dude I think mine really is beer glass. Look almost like the small one in that vid same percent and everything.
Thanks guys really made my day.

Nice, not only do they seem like a good travel piece and a home piece, they do not seem to suffer in functionality and flavor retention appears to be a plus. I wish the link had that small two hole. The basic three hole also is tempting.

Yea, from the pic it looks like yours is the smaller two hole. Love how tiny it is.

For an oil piece you want minimal diffusion. I have a DG fritted disc right now (probably the most diffusion you can get) and it's horrible for dabbing. There is a) noticeably more oil condensation and b) noticeably less effect compared to the same size dab taken on a piece with lower diffusion. I recieved the DG in trade for my mobius matrix, which I felt was a better dab piece. I've dabbed out some small pieces that are super harsh and some that are very smooth. The hit smoothness also has a lot to do oil quality and nail temperature. Small pieces w/ low diffusion help tremendously with flavor though.

So I had to agree on this (I owned 2 DG's) as it was obvious the same size dab would give me less vape exhale compared to my other pieces & yes there was more reclaim in the internal of the fritter. So though on one hand the extreme diffusion of the DG's made any dab non harsh ever, on the other it had those "efficiency" cons!
I sold the can and kept the glowing micro as the porosity was bigger on that one...
THEN I received a Dab Essentials Domeless Nail and with all these channels it FUCKING TURNED MY WORLD UPSIDE DOWN, meaning my DG has now the exact same vape exhales as my other pieces/same effect, and clearly LESS claim then before both in the fritter & the can internal walls!

So thx to my new nail, my DG is back on my dabbing pieces podium!

Now back to the topic, I HIGLY recommend for a daily dabbing piece, with FLAVORFUL but SMOOTH hits:
BatesxWorm Diffusion Pump Bubbler
I own one and love it for everything: size, functionality, ergonomics, looks, easiness to clean...HOME RUN!

I have the DG can and dab daily on multiple pieces. To me, there is not a huge difference in exhale sizes on a high diffusion piece. Flavor difference sure, but hits don't just diminish before your eyes! Yes some tends to condense on the walls, but, and I must emphasize this, it is a very small loss relative to how much you just inhaled. It may not outperform, but it is just as potent in my experience.

@FLskwat I am actually looking to go domeless soon, and I'm quite taken with your claims about the Dab Essentials nail! How would you say it improves hit size, simply by preventing buildup on the can?

Yes and in the fritter, as I believe it "splits" the vapor in those different channels and the vapor hits the fritter in multiple spots vs. our traditional nails where it seems to go in a more concentrated air channel... not sure that makes sense!
What is clearly sure is that the reclaim on the walls of my micro is more like tiny particles spray then big spots of amber/yellow goo as before!

Also please take into consideration that each fritter is unique and has his porosity, so what applies to bouldorado or me might not be "a huge difference" for you with your piece. For example, my 12" DG can was "too tight" for my needs (majorly errrls) but was perfect for flower vaping (in fact my glass arsenal is majorly for oil as I prefer vaping flowers with my SSV+AV), my micro can was a little better for errls, so I kept it. Now with the DE domeless it's perfect!:D

I am aware each fritter has unique air paths. There's no way a uniform version of that perc could even exist lol.
What you say about hitting the fritter in different spots hits home though! I have observed from time to time when combusting flowers that a great deal of the smoke shoots straight into the closest part of the fritter rather than spread for maximum diffusion.

Also, SSV plus aquavape inline is godly!!
Happy Vaping

my DG was a fail, i noticed a big difference between the hits i was getting between it and my other pieces.

I'm at gigging musician and i travel on a bus. Been looking for one of these rigs for a while. You wouldn't by chance know where i can find one like yours online?
