I'd say 'yeah, more or less'. If you know how to use it wisely, there's enough in those little batteries for over a dozen good hits. But you can easily kill them trying awkwardly for a few.

The much more forgiving 14500s, OTOH, are IMO a much better first unit to learn on. It's really not all that much bigger, a little bit longer and still pretty skinny. It's the difference between AA and AAA size batteries. It will also do a fair job on Evolution, something the UltraLite hasn't a prayer of.

OF
kinda what i thought, but i figured i would ask. have you tried an evo with the 14500's? is it effective with the evo, or does it "just kinda do it"? I would like to have the evo as an option, but i would rather stick with the single battery platform... just a preference... minimalism and all that jazz...

Thx OF!

You're welcome. Yes, I've done it, it does work but gets pretty hot pretty fast. A hit or two and it's time for a cool down.

I agree with 'single battery if possible'. Even if it takes a few seconds longer. If you do go with Evolution, I'm sure you'll like it so much that buying it the bigger base unit to take the longer lived batteries (more hits) and get the insulation (more in a row) will seem like a great idea.....

You're gonna like most anything you get, it's just a matter of how much and which trade offs are best for you. I think Revolution/DART and the Ultra are a great place to get into the system. It all gets used, my UltraLite is right there, waiting......

BTW, the UltraLite with adapter and 2.4 Ohm Omicron cart is also a great combo I think (as of course is the same rig on Ultra of course). Several dozen hits on demand is a nice resource to have in a compact package (I disassemble it for carry, the cart and adapter going in a 'doob tube'):

Oh, come on Jam, you know you don't mean that. If you stopped buying vapes and stuff to put in 'em you'd just be wasting your money on rent, food, electricity and all that other stuff, right?

haha yeah, well gotta get in debt for some reason right? I avoided most of the pits, had to jump into this one...it's a lot more fun than many of the others you mentioned for sure. Luckily I don't have to buy the stuff to put in them, the other expenses cover that...elec. rent. etc.

Ok, so... My apologies if this would have been better suited elswhere, but since ive already be discussing here it fit ... If you currently have or have ever had the ultra, ultralit and like the standad revolution with a dart cart for the tool. could you give an expected estimate on hits per battery set? Obveiously its gonna increase with the size and voltage, but if i could get all 3 kinda for scale... Maybe it would help me make a decision.

Much love... Bairly coheriant.... Errr

As you suggest, there's no real standard toke to go with counting. And with the UltraLite that little battery is so marginal a new guy can exhaust it without much to show for it. A few strained hits, maybe?

If you're up to speed and paying attention a dozen or more hits are possible with it. If you have good material and don't overload it as many as two dozen I'd say. The Ultra will do 3 times that with more margin for errors on the user end, the standard (using 17670s) three times that?

My advice for a new guy who's looking for small is to pass on the Ultralite until your an 'old hand', the Ultra isn't all that much bigger for practical purposes (AA and AAA size batteries). If you go with the UltraLite anyway, get a bunch of batteries, you'll need 'em.

Yeah, I should have probably named this thread Ultra & Ultralite, too bad you can't go back to Edit this far out from the original posting. I have been thinking about getting the Ultra, just to have it. It just has been put back on my priority list for now, because I have been diving into more expensive ventures lately, and need to start pulling back a bit on my spending until things even out a bit more. Checks and balances... anyway, I do want the Ultra, and will eventually pick one up.

hmm sounds like i might be better off saving for a ultra instead of a ultralite. just for ease and more hits as i get more experienced. still just as discreet.

Now, will any 2.5 cartomizer cart work with 510thread or only the omicron carts?
im still trying to figure out the matching cart to battery thing...i find it a bit confusing.

A wise choice imo, but also consider the largest ultramax-size body. The plastic grip really comes in handy and the thing is already small, the ultra and ultralight are just tiny and microscopic...

I think that's a better call, but as JKA points out with his typical broad perspective, the full size one is still small. Standing next to a Persei, it barely comes up to the chrome band before the adapter on top of the tube (where it narrows down).

Yes, most e-cigs use the 510 thread (Omicron and Atmos being the exceptions I know of), most any part maker's cart will screw on the TV supply and run just fine, better than on 'their own' in many cases. If you want to use Omicron carts and don't want to use a THC Scientific supply like Persei or Omicron V2 or O-Phos you'll need an adapter to mate the Omicron cart's m601 threads to the standard 510 threads (for TV and most other maker's supplies). To use 510 stuff on THC supplies you need the opposite adapter, which THC and TV both sell.

So if you buy a TV supply ("battery"), you'll need an adapter to run Omicron carts, otherwise 510 stuff screws right on. Including the excellent stuff TV makes for 'juice'.

But the atomizers for juice have to be filled with a tincture of VG or PG right? Or is there one that can us the thicker "honey oil? Ive been under the impression that with basically all the "tanks" type carts and atomizers are only for liquid.. I would love to,just toss a gram or two in a tank and roll with it, but at this point i dont want to have to mix the VG/PG...
Sorry if im making this a little too broad...

You're not alone, nor the first on the scene. If that worked, I bet we'd all be doing it instead of what we are. THC and TV are not fools, even if their 'competition' is playing folks for fools with their offerings.

I think you're fairly safe trusting us not associated with them (or other makers). We would not be the least bit shy with such information I think. Omicron, Revolution and DART are state of the art at present....with some exciting prospects in the wings as I see it. E-cig stuff is e-cig stuff. Useful for what it was designed for (which did not include concentrates).

Shit... Did you see my water wings anywhere? .
my OCD wont let the debate alone some times... Just debating between the single batt alpha or the longer and stronger batts of the rev with dart... Ive done enough research to know that my soft mushy brain is gonna leak out my skull if i try playing mix n match... I even looked into using a diffrnt 510 batt that was cheaper with the dart, but since my grasp is really just anything online and 90% of that is opinion... Its all just a gamble. So thermovape WILL have my business... Just as soon as i find my damn water wings... Cheers mate.

Boy, I hear you, this stuff is confusing enough for anyone, and I like geek stuff. Let me try to boil the TV choices down a bit. We're talking Revolution/DART here, right? Concentrates, not herb?

Forget AlphaLite as a first supply, too small to be learning with. If you need to go small still, Alpha is probably the call it's a little smaller (not a lot, really) and will give you say 50 or 60 hits per charge. Without the insulating parts it'll get warm in use, but not overly hot. LV only in this supply.

Next is the big supply, a little longer, a little bigger around but with 3 times the battery life. It also it 'set up' for upgrades to either Evolution or T1 for herbs later on (Alpha will do a modest job with Evolution, hopeless with T1), so if you're going to maybe want to upgrade and can live with a little larger supply (still smaller than Persei by a fair bit) I vote for the big dog. If there's maybe a T1 in your future go with SV (6 Volts, two batteries) since there is no LV T1, otherwise for Evolution and Revolution/DART LV will give you slightly longer battery times and only one bigger battery to mess with not two 3 Volters.

So my advice boils down to:
http://thermovape.com/collections/a...evolution-universal-concentrate-vaporizer-kit

Only I'd substitute LV for SV if you have no T1 plans (they change batteries and charger with the LV cart) and DART rather than Revolution with it's window unless you're going to be doing a lot of bubble hash. You can get it in white as well of course.

Doesn't narrow it down a lot I guess, but hope it helps?

Hey,

So along with my typical testing and such, i decided to bust out my UltraLite with a Rev-LV Saturday night at the bar.

Let me just say, i was surprised with this little sucker! I think it had to do with me using one of my semi old 10440's that has a bunch of cycles through it, but i only changed the batteries once the whole night!!!!! and it was being passed around all night, probably a good .5 of concentrate!

Next weekend will be some Ultra testing ;)

Cheers,

Tim

Just picked up an Alpha Ultra, and a Pureflow, plan on running LV DART and Omi carts on the Alpha, pureflow on my DART and hopefully a T1 soon! I haven't used a portable flower vape since retiring my MFLB. Can't wait to check out my first TV power supply, I love my LV DART!

Cool. You might find Trueflow works better on DART (and Revolution) as the filter adds a fair bit of restriction (besides there's no herb debris that needs filtering out?). Be sure to swap out the DART mouthpiece as you'll no longer need (or want) the extra restriction built into it.

The ultra just 'feels right' to me, even though it has about 1/3 the capacity of the larger T1 supply, it's still my favorite for DART.

And an Omicron cart with adapter in a 'doob tube' is such a neat thing to go with it, not only as a backup for when I'm in the mood to sit and sip hit after hit but also it's neat to have a different strain (or two....) handy for a quick change.

Congrats, you're gonna enjoy it.......

And you can't use the Ultra Lite (10500 based) supply on Evolution or T1. The smallest practical one is the mid sized (14500 based) unit, Ultra is the name I think? Better still is the big guy, which will do two cells for 6 Volts (SR) which the smaller ones don't and can also use the LV battery, 17670, for much longer life.

OF

What's the difference in battery life b/w running the dart sv on 6 volts and the dart lv on the 17670?

A slight advantage to LV in hit count (a bit over 10% IIRC) against a couple seconds faster heat up time. IMO close enough to be a push.

If you have SV stuff already, go that way, not enough gain to merit the costs. If you have no T1 (or future desire for one), I'd go LV. In either case battery changes are easy enough to do (and eventually necessary) you have to stop to load more goods anyway.....

LV also has more options, like running Omicron carts on an adapter, which is also nice. More other options for supplies exist as well.

Either way will make you happy I bet.
