....don't watch any of them....I like to READ my news....I aways found watching some "talking head, in a suit" to be sort of....lazy...
I feel the same way about presidential press conferences....I remeber in college (vietnam) when nixon would come on tv....he told us about his plan "vietmization"...he told us how he was reducing the troop levels....we were to find out later of course that ALL ALONG HE WAS INCREASING THE LEVELS...it dawned on me right then and there....why am I listening to this when it's ALL LIES...I never forgot that...I have never listened to a presidential news conference since...Not one...dems or repubs.....what's the point?!

I adore George Carlin!! I was fortunate enough to be able to see him in concert a while back at Hinkle Fieldhouse at Butler University. (the same place Hoosiers was shot) It was the best (comedy) concert I've ever been to in my laugh! I laughed so hard, my stomach was hurting when we left. He was a very wise man, and it's sad that he is now gone. :(

Definitely not part of the club.....

I just realized (after watching that clip), I am no longer a useful slave . . . and I haven't really been one for a very long time. In fact, I think I am entirely unsuited for slavery in general considering I never really made a good one . . . :/

Also have to add in some more FX shows, Sons of Anarchy and Justified (haven't watched latest season, still on the DVR) are great and American Horror Story was pretty good.

I also just watched the first 3 episodes of "Girls" (HBO) and it has a lot of potential.

Another vote for archer, three seasons so far and each is better than the last. If you like dark comedies like archer and always sunny, check out peep show on hulu. Six seasons are available there, haven't watched the last one yet and I didn't think 5 was quite as good as the rest, but the first four at least are pretty great.

Peep Show seemed a bit odd at first to me, but over time I've grown to love it and begun to realise it's easily one of the best comedy series of the last decade.
Very 'British' humour though!

Speaking of British,
I've been watching Hustle recently.
I'm 4 seasons in, loving it. :)

I also watched an episode of the IT crowd for the first time the other day...
Another show I'm gonna have to watch

'Game of Thrones': HBO apologizes for Bush head on stick

Holy cow, is that the head of our nation’s 43rd President on a stick?
In the season one DVD commentary for HBO’s Game of Thrones, show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss admit that George W. Bush’s likeness appears in a scene in which King Joffrey shows Sansa Stark her dead dad’s head on a stick. (Check it out onio9.com). The alleged Dubya noggin is the last one on the left — and he’s sporting some pretty bad hair.
“It’s not a choice, not a political statement!” one of the writers say during the commentary. “We just had to use what heads we had around.” Goodness, whose head didn’t they use?
Apparently, the Bush head appears in a “couple of beheading scenes,” one of the scribes admit on the DVD.
GAME OF THRONES: Get the latest news, photos, and more
Once news of the Bush head hint the internet, Weiss and Benioff released this statement: “We use a lot of prosthetic body parts on the show: heads, arms, etc. We can’t afford to have these all made from scratch, especially in scenes where we need a lot of them, so we rent them in bulk.
“After the scene was already shot, someone pointed out that one of the heads looked like George W. Bush. In the DVD commentary, we mentioned this, though we should not have. We meant no disrespect to the former President and apologize if anything we said or did suggested otherwise.”
HBO released a statement of its own: “We were deeply dismayed to see this and find it unacceptable, disrespectful and in very bad taste. We made this clear to the executive producers of the series who apologized immediately for this inadvertent careless mistake. We are sorry this happened and will have it removed from any future DVD production.”

Since I dumped cable I get to watch in my opinion better quality news programming through my Roku box - RT, Al jazeera, BBC, InfoWars, plus English language news programming from all over the world. I like watching Rachel Maddow and I do miss MSNBC but I get to watch her shows nightly if I want to on the iTunes channel without commercials. I personally cannot stomach Hannity - O'Reilly is more likeable and often funny but it's no great loss to adios Republican embedded news programming. The same goes in reverse for MSNBC but at least when a conservative is interviewed it's done with respect and without constant slamming and interruption.

Newsroom...........on HBO !! A show about the inside workings of a cable news program.

The opening dialog by Jeff Daniels had me spellbound. The writing and the acting in this series is just.............superb. I could tell that this show was Emmy bound within the first minute.

Lord of The Seven Kingdoms.
Having read all the books (and having waited 5 years for Dance with Dragons) I can say that Game of Thrones has been a huge delight for me to watch. Actually seeing the Battle of the Blackwater was soo fucking awesome than I squeled like a little girl when Tyrion did his battle cry. Plus , knowing whats coming up next , the fight scenes that are coming! Ohh man , next season is gonna knock every one out.
