Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

I have been using the smooth flow for the T1 for a week now and the smooth flow also works with the EVO. I bought a dropper bottle and filled it with water so I can drop 2-3 drops when I feel I need it. I can feel the warm vapor towards the end of hits but after 6 hits my voice doesn't sound scratchy due to the dry heat. So it helps on the go but when I'm at home I still prefer the glass adapter.

I agree. Isn't it kind of amazing how much happens with a drop or two of water and such a simple assembly? Elegant is the term that comes to my mind.

thanks guys. so either filter works in both the evo and dart....may have to get both

I don't agree with that.

IMO the filter restricts Evolution too much, just like it does T1. They're both herb vapes, high volume of air to make the convection part work. You don't want the restriction, it makes high flow rates harder. Revolution and DART are conduction/radiation vapes with very modest flow needs, some restriction is actually needed, it's introduced in the special restricted mouthpieces shipped with them which you can remove and put normal ones in place of with the filter.

IMO it all makes sense if you think about the differences in the products. Filter for concentrate vapes, not for herb vapes. For them you want pure flow.

The same term came to my mind the first time I watched Nate's full dis-assembly video on the T1, way back when . . .

Isn't that just the truth of it. Like watching a good magician. Neat trick after neat trick after neat trick....before you can appreciate the last the next is on you. Cleaver guy, his designs show it. IMO his real strength is he understands intimately the whiz bang screw machines he makes his parts on. The parts are actually designed to be produced easily and to amazing accuracy when needed. The man understands materials like few in his area do. Those two skills together (knowing what to use and how to make each part) is a killer combo for sure.

I use the smooth flow on the Evolution and Revolution, love them on both. The pure flow is better suited and designed for the Revolution as OF stated. Before I got the smooth flow I found Revolution hits to be a bit harsh on my throat, I am really sensitive to heat, so I would use some silicon tubing with a glass whip mouthpiece. With the smooth flow I can take nice hits without the tubing and mouthpiece, the smooth flow makes a big difference to me.

I have hesitated getting the pure flow because I think the filter may decrease taste a bit? With the wax I use all I need is the vapor to be cooled down which the smooth flow accomplishes nicely. With the sale I might take advantage and get the pure flow as well. If there is a decrease in taste I am hoping it is minimal.

For those who have tried the pure flow, is the taste of your concentrates altered at all?

Thanks

None that I could sense. Nor would I expect it. IIRC the pores are on the order of 100 microns. Compared to the size of the molecules of vapor that give us flavor this is a HUGE hole. If you're a bit of dirt or debris, you're going to have trouble finding a passage through (which was the idea) but molecules should sail on by (which again was the idea).

Looked at another way, if the filter was absorbing some part of the flavor profile, it'd fill sooner or later and then what?

I have been waiting for the LV batteries to show in stock to place another order. Now it looks like I will be adding the Smooth Flow to that order.

My guess is TV will think that's cool as well. Isn't that cool? A serious discount, these guys seem serious about getting their gear into patient's hands.

Bingo! You feel like a kid collecting toys sometimes. And this here internet is a virtual candy store, truly dangerous for guys with plastic in their pockets and time on their hands.

However, I'm not so sure about the adults part around here. Let's face it, some of our forum mates are a little out there..... Vitolo, for instance. How, exactly, do you explain him to the straights? For that part of it, I think I could take either side of this adult thing and we could have a fun debate on who's acting older than who.

But IMO you nailed it. We're talking about the same guys all right.

Thanks.

oh man w/ this memorial day sale this clinches it. gotta wait till friday but i'll be purchasing one of these bad boys soon. looks like a perfect portable for me. any attempts to walk this through metal detectors? would it set it off?

I would be wary of purchasing a ton of new stuff, all of these discounts could be signs pointing to a completely new device in the works.

I think it is dangerous to assume things like this.. first because it may not be true and people are susceptible, second because it may not be true and you are just pissing on the good will of the TV folks.

i'm sure a new device is in the works already regardless of the discount or not. these folks look to be continuing to improve their products and develop new ones.

How did you know!! I'll be paying for this happy fun time excursion for a while...

More than likely the new device will be compatible with the t1. So theres no harm in purchasing one now while there is a good discount and buying the upgrade in the future. Now if you want a great Thermovape deal i suggest making a video review for some money towards tv products. Last month there was a $100 dollar spot that noone took advantage of. I was lucky enough to win $250.

There are 2 contests running, one is a video review, and one is a photo contest, they have the rules listed in the FC contest forum thread. Congrats Vaporboxed!

Just a guess, I don't have any plastic at risk...... And I own this bar.

It's not really dollars you know, they're fun tickets. They just call it money to confuse the issue.

Besides which better to spend it now than leave it for your ungrateful kids, right?

It's all fake money these days. If the military can get away with spending trillions just to blow stuff up, I should be able to get away with spending a few hundred on vaporizers right?? Don't worry, if we run out, we'll just print some more.... part of what makes this possible for me, NO KIDS!
dodged that bullet, so far anyway.

I can assure you we are not trying to clear out inventory, we are actually manufacturing more parts for our current devices right now so that we can fill all the orders for the sale. There will hopefully be a surplus of parts by Friday so that the weekends orders can be packaged quickly.

Cheers,
Tim

so ive been running a rubber mouthpiece on my Evo and much prefer it to the standard TV mouthpiece... strictly because of heat though. i like the TV MPs, but when using the Evo they get hot. i tried running the slightly longer Rev MP on my Evo, but when in my pocket it comes off easily. and it didnt really do much for the heat issue. ive been considering getting some rubber tubing just the right size to go over the TV MPs. then i realized that i had some Omi MPs and a few Gentlemens/SmokTech MPs laying around and gave them a whirl.

i ended up really liking the GTM/SmokTech rubber mouthpieces that come with the EGO dual coils cartomizer/ widowmaker cart. it does not get anywhere near as hot as the TV MPs do. and i find it to be a tad more comfy on the ol lips.

here is a pic
STmp.jpg

the white specs you see at the end of the MP is small lint from my pocket. its the only downside i see to using this MP.

Hey Tim, do you know if this could pass through a metal detector? might be hard to know. i think metal detectors can be set w/ different sensitivities.

im pretty sure your not getting through a metal detector unnoticed with a T1 on your person
