"Atmos Optimus Vaporizer kit has a ultimate cartridge to be used with all oils and concentrates. The measuring scale lets you see the amount of oil remaining. The unique heating element in the chamber heats up your oils evenly and neatly, no worries of leakage or dripping."

"Ultimate" cartridge that seems to be similar to an Ego CE4 Clearomizer...

Does it really work with pure oils?

This would be the same folks that brought us the RAW? So they took their industry leading prowess and did what nobody else has managed.....

Anything is possible, of course, but my advice would be to let some other folks test it out and report back? The RAW experience doesn't fill a guy with confidence, least ways not me. I advise caution, this is getting to that 'too good to be true' level IMO.

In my opinion, it looks like a Persei crossed with a Thermovape

Looks to me like an antique gas pump. You know, the one's that held liquid in the top and drained down into the car? Well, you've seen pictures of one right?

Come on guys, pictures of a vape is all they've got so far......

Still, hope springs eternal..... I hope the make it happen like that.

OF,
i just called the company looking for info on it.. basically it has a few wicks in the cartomizer.. inside of the steel tubing in the middle is a heating element... it doesnt come in contact with the metal tubing.. and only slowly heats the concentrate.. After you load the cartomizer you must then shake it alittle to get the wicks wet.. and then you press the button for 2 seconds and pull...

does anyone have one of these or tried one before? i know they are only about 2 weeks or so old..

getCONCENTRATEd,
You can probably learn what to expect from this "atmos" company, by looking @ threads on their previous products.
Welcome to FC, do your research, and you should find something you like. Omicron and ThermoVape are the 2 industry standards for pen style vapes like this. I myself have been burned by this company, but it was more my fault for not doing the research. Hope this helps.

We see them here from time to time, I give them a pass and recommend the same. OK if you're looking for easy to use, under performing over priced gear I guess?

OTOH, Omicron pre fills also show up from time to time and given good oils inside from trusted vendors they seem just fine to me. I've enjoyed half a dozen different strains in carts from one local Dispensary.

ill make sure to stay away then haha, i did see on thier site they have a new cartridge for thicker oils....it looks just like an omicron of course, but i dont really care i was wondering if this clear cart had any diff kind of heating element or anything... ill pass

Xchadb,
i own the atmos optimus cartridge, along with an atmos vape as well as the omicron vape...
and the new optimus cartridge is WAAAAY better than the regular omicron/atmos cartridges..
just fill the cartridge with enough oil to keep the wicks submerged.
absolutely perfect for rick simpson oil/CO2 oil/isopropyl oil.
much easier to medicate with the new cartridge as well, it allows more vaper per hit, and isnt as hard to draw.
also, the atmos oil cartridge works with the omicron vape as well.

This is very interesting to me, although a bit confusing....

Looks to me like the Optimus cart of which you rave is a juice only deal?
http://www.atmosrx.com/Empty-Cartomizers/View-all-products.html

If you meant to point to the Omicron knock off, that would be the EX instead? That would seem to be inappropriate as well since anyone who's loaded oils or waxes into Omicron carts knows there's some heat needed....not mentioned in the instructions.....just how did you manage to do this successful testing without using heat to load the wrong cartridge?

Please excuse my doubt here, it's just that we've seen this before more than once. No discredit on you, just saying it tends to fit a pattern and doesn't make sense to some of the older hands like me. At the risk of repeating myself, I'm going to repeat myself from post 2:

"This would be the same folks that brought us the RAW? So they took their industry leading prowess and did what nobody else has managed.....

So we now have a report back from a brand new member, and one with some Omicron experience it seems even if I can't get the bits to fit. Progress. I'm still going to stand by a bit in the hopes of some further reports, hopefully from guys we know? As it is, we might have a counterfeit Omicron cart available (only one value?) at a reduced price and with 510 threads in one model, if that sort of stuff interests you? How it could perform better than the original with all the ongoing effort there I'm not sure. And I'm sure not ready for another round of 'this tastes like sh**, oil or something' complaints that lead up to the great 4 Ohm cart taste off of 2012.....although if asked nicely enough (and given some free carts....) I'd be willing to test again? How do they taste?

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. However, given the source of this development and our history I'll stand by a bit longer I think?

OF,
mkay, first off,
i dont give a flying fux about the history of vaporization, or the history of the companies involved...
who fuxin cares... buyer beware i say...
all i know is that im a patient that on the suggestion of a friend purchased the omicron vaporizer,
but then after reading about the potential negative effects of using bho cooked by trailor park rockstarz that may contain benzene, i wanted to try the omicron with rick simpson oil, isopropyl oil, or co2,
well i figured out after a little reading and testing that the normal omicron/atmos carts are kinda shitty for thinner oils...
bummer...
then a couple months later i see this ad on the atmos site for the optimus catridge, so what the fux, my local dispensory carries the empty and prefilled optimus carts for $25 and $75, and was told by my dispensory that it does infact fit both omicron and atmos batteries. also, let me add that my friend is borrowing my omicron atm so i havent tested the optimus cart with it, but its obvious from looking at the omicron carts that it does indeed fit. now, there are 2 models of optimus cart, the regular and the 510, you want the regular one if you want to use it with the omicron and regular atmos.
now, filling this bish.... get a oral injector with 18 gauge syringe and fill your oil in it, my dispensory sells all rick simpson and co2 in oral injectors anyway so easy for me. the trick i used was to put the injector with oil under a lamp for a minute or 2 to get it hot, and do the same to the optimus cart. FIRST PULL BACK ON INJECTOR before you inject, unless you want to clean oil off of everything and blow $50-75 worth of oil all over your fingers, then SLOWLY inject oil into cart. the first time i did this i didnt have a syringe, just the injector tip, it still worked ok, but much easier with syringe. you want to make sure you fill the cart to the wicks, and keep it filled there for easier usage. you could use it with less by heating the oil first in the cart with a har dreyer/ hot plate on low, or light bulb, then make sure the wicks are douched with oil while its melted. then rest cart on side so it cools with oil over wick. as i said, it hits much nicer and is easier/quicker to get medicated, and the optimus cart doesnt clog like the regular omicron carts when they get hot/overused.

so thats it, thats all i know, you naysaying wankers...lulz
now go pick ur weapon of choice, and vape, dammit!!

well you can blindly throw money at companies/products that just dont cut it all you want. there is a reason that users here are naysayers with this company... its called the Atmos Raw... and how it is NOT a vaporizer like the MFG suggests it is. it combusts botanicals period. a mix of some vapor and smoke is not what a real vaporizer should produce.

now this oil cart may very well work, but until we see proof of it do not expect FC users to jump all over it. so... maybe you could post some video of it in action?

oh and welcome aboard

2clicker,
well considering this thread isnt about the atmos raw, im not using the atmos raw, and havent purchased the atmos raw, i fail to see how i threw my money away...
the regular atmos oil vaporizer does in fact cut it, and the atmos optimus is definately an improvement over the regular oil atmos and omicron carts.
and just an FYI, im not here to convince anyone of anything and i dont care what people use to vape with.
ill try to post a vid soon.

Unfortunately I think the point is a for those very reasons some of the folks think you've a good chance of learning how you might have better spent that money. It might have been in informed purchase, but that positive feedback didn't come from around here. You see some folks consider themselves kind of old hands at this and figure they've got their collective finger on the pulse of things? Yes, I know......

I hope you are right and they (and I'm with them so it should be 'we') are wrong. Another good vape on the market is good news for all. Please let us know how it stacks up against the other options in it's class?

OF,
well, i own a volcano for home use so i think i have a good idea of what a decent vape is, and the expected results...
and again, i have the omicron vape and atmos, and out of portables i have i like the atmos with optimus cart the best. so, your comments about leaning some sort of stupid lesson are completely moot.
it seems like everyone here is all butthurt because of the raw... well then dont buy it...
I am simply reporting that this is the best portable vaping i have done yet, and if you dont belive me then so what, i really dont care. in the mean time, i am medicated anyplace in public i wish...

Hey, I believe you. Why would you make it up? Well, OK, some might have ideas there, but I'll take it at face value. You have a volcano (funny 'everyone' who comes here with new of this sort seems to also have a volcano.....), so you know what vapor is. Cool. But is it the best choice?

What I am trying to get to is your experience with similar vapes. The sort of experience a guy could use to calibrate the 'best portable' claims? True, our experience here is with other guys on a similar path, we really don't know you from Adam's off ox. We're hearing what you say and trying to apply our experience as I think is quite natural.

So have tried Omicron, Revolution, DART, Persei, or Eclipse? Something we can relate to? If so, please speak up, I'm sure owners there are looking for improvement.....

TIA

OF,
im starting to feel like you guys are just trolling me...
is this incredulity dished out to every new member here??

well, in case you didnt read thru my posts,
let's review...
i own the omicron v.1 as well as the atmos vape.
i did not buy the atmos raw and put a optimus cart on it,
i bought a regular atmos oil vape and put the optimus cart on it.
i dont like the regular omicron carts as much as the atmos optimus carts,
why??
1. because i cant vape oils like co2 or rick simpson oil with the regular omicron oil carts,
they are made for oils or concentrates that solidify upon cooling.
2. because I get medicated much faster with the optimus carts.
3. the optimus cart does not clog or leak from heavy usage like the omicron carts.

now for the vape it's self, i do like the atmos better, if for no other reason then the atmos lets you hit for about 9-10 seconds as opposed to the 6-7 seconds the omicron does,
the battery is slighty shorter, and with the optimus cart on it, its about 3/4 the size of the omicron w/ regular cart, so its a little more discreet. i also think the presence of the led in the end of the atmos vape lends to making it look more like a normal e-cig.

now, once again, i dont care what anybody uses to vape with,
and im not a fucking shill as you guys have connotated.
I simply have some experience with the product this thread was started about,
and was compelled to share my experiences...
your welcome.

also, im even happy to acknowledge that i can be a bit of a douche nozzel if put on the defensive, and i do apologize for it, but that is going to be my knee-jerk response to nay sayers... just sayin'

oh and yes, the atmos optumus cart does look exactly like the ego ce4 clearomizer...
and i cant help but wonder which one of the ego brand clearomizers would work with the omicron v.1 and atmos vapes...

whoa chill. we arent calling you anything. almost every user on this forum is here to help.

regarding this cart... i wasnt saying it didnt work. in fact i clearly said that "it may very well work". i have been waiting to hear some reviews as i am actually interested in its performance. i love my Dart, but want something with a more long term load, but easier to work with than an Omi cart.

what about the materials of construction? or build quality? the Raw left a little to be desired in this area.

If the topic is the Atmos RX supply (which I think is what's being used) you'll find many of us have and use them. I have a pair myself, I tend to like them despite their drawbacks as I see them. For instance, I think the blue light is a bit of stupid bling that destroys the stealth aspects, mine are covered up. Likewise not being able to stand them upright is a serious shortcoming with oils (but is not an issue with e-cigs I guess or it wouldn't happen?), not what one would design into a vape. And the battery is low capacity, not user serviceable and has a weak charger system....all topics that lead THC to upgrade away from this format.

All in all a useful design for running Omicron carts, like I said I use a pair of them for just that, but IMO there are better choices out there for the above reasons.

You know there's an old saying, "you're only as good as your last (fill in the blank)". In this case I think it reads 'you're only as good as your last vape'?

Thanks again for what seems like an honest evaluation. FWIW, I think that's what most folks here are offering in return when they can? As has been said many times here, more vape makers in the market is a good thing, although sometimes there's some qualifications that go along with that.
