Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

Frederick McGuire

Aggressively Loungey
I'm glad that you're adopting a common threading instead of some proprietary bullshit like omicron. Also, what kind of voltage/amperage would I need from an ecig batt to get the cart working well? I have a feeling that all the stock ego batteries I have laying around won't cut it.
I don't want to get off the Thermovape Discussion, but I just wanted to point out that the Omicron doesn't use proprietary threading as far as I knew, just a less common version than 510.

Can you post pics or a video on how the cartridge is loaded? Also, what is the capacity of the bowl?

This looks sweet! What base model (UltraLite, Ultra, UltraMax) fits the 3.7v 17670 battery? I have the Ultra, on which I'm running a LV DART. I also have the standard 6v T1/Rev, which uses the UltraMax base if I'm not mistaken. My Ultra came with the red 14500 3.7v batteries. Just wondering what setup I'd need to run the Evolution LV with a 17670.

Looks awesome. I'd like it in black as well (is all metal possible?), also will you be selling the 3.7v batteries seperately for those who want that option to use the LV Evolution and Dart/Rev carts on their existing units?

Very nice guys! I will be ordering one tomorrow morning, as soon as I stuff some cash in my pocket!

You guys are amazing, can't wait to try it with my e-cig mod.

We are working hard to make a video for the Evolution, should be done today. The bowl is about 2/3 the capacity of the T1 which i believe brings it to about .055 cubic inches. let me double check that number though.

The 17670 is the 3.7 volt battery for our standard battery unit "UltraMax", it about the same size as two of our RCR123a stacked.

For the time being we are only going to sell the batteries with the kit, we should have them available to you in the near future.

Cheers,

Should we take your lack of reply about a black version as indication that it will not be made?

Sorry about that.... There is only a white version available due to the Virgin PTFE we use in the manufacturing of the Evolution Top cap.

However we are also looking into possibly having a black option in the future.

Tim, I'm all for competition, and pointing out differences in products, but I don't know if your SIG is the right place. I feel FC is more of a friendly community for us to discuss vapes, as opposed to a bashing playground. Yeah, I think THC has mentioned how little batterie life you get with TV(w/o actually saying TV), but he doesn't slap it in his SIG to be seen every post. Competition is great, its what makes both of you hands down above the rest. I see ya'll as cousins, trying to better they other one for Grampa's(customers) approval. My 2$.

Interesting. How about a thin aluminum tube over the outside which you could anodize black? Might even help with the heat?

I'm glad that you're adopting a common threading instead of some proprietary bullshit like omicron.

As the Lone Ranger was fond of saying, "Steady there, big fellow". The 601 thread used by Omicron is in fact an Industry Standard, right? That's why there are 510/601 adapters not "501/Omicron proprietary bullshit thread" adapters? They used what turned out to be the less popular system in use by their Chinese supplier and are continuing to so so their customers can use their existing products. We just went through this silliness on another thread.....again. I know how guys feel, but making it easier to use stuff you bought for other uses is not I think a good reason to screw the existing customers by changing thread series?

It is not proprietary, you can decide which part of the bull it came from. I for one see nothing evil or underhanded in play.

Ahh so for some reason the delrin will not work in this case? Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna get this bad boy soon enough, I'm just hoping for a matching set of gear.

My bet is heat. IIRC there's several hundred degrees difference. Teflon works great for cooking pans, not so Delrin......

So before your Evolutions start arriving i want to point out a few things about it.

The Evolution is designed to be a pocket-able device that can be concealed easily, generally it will be used to get in those few vape hits when you don't want to pull out a larger device. The unit does get hot, we designed it to accommodate this heat in the PTFE outer sleeve.

While the battery life with the 17670 can support 50+ hits i would still give it some cool-off time in between long sessions. I generally will vape a bowl or 2, then open it up and let it cool off a min or two. It doesn't take much to cool off once the top cap if removed.

Remember that this is the  FIRST and the  ONLY of its kind, we revolutionized the market with the ThermoVape Evolution. There has been talk of a "flower cart" for almost a year and NO ONE has yet to deliver other than ThermoVape! :science:

"cart" so without sleeve, it is the size of a standard cart?
My brain is thinking "double top"(SB, Persei, who cares) :)

Just tried using your Four20 coupon code w/google check out and it is giving me an invalid coupon code response... got the same response from FC10%OFF as well. Did you guys fix your standard check out system? Can I avoid using google check out now? what's going on?

I got it to work in the standard check out... not sure what was happening with google.

Excited to try this out. The size is very attractive...I have both regular 3.7v batts w/ 7 second cut off, and some mods that have no cut off. I will test on both to see how much of a pain the cut off will be. I found it's easy to work around cut off, by pumping the button every 4-5 seconds, not that big of a deal. I still have yet to pull the trigger on a TV battery set up mainly because I have a TUB of 3.7v batteries of various shapes and sizes, and can not justify buying more batteries until I use some of these up. I will report my experience once it arrives. I also would have preferred black, but I understand... looking forward to a video :brow:

Does the cart heat up as fast/produce as much vapor without the white teflon piece as well or is it necessary to keep the heat in?

You know, several guys have said this in different ways and I think I understand it but it really makes no sense when you think about it. I mean having a pile of those batteries didn't stop you from buying the last one, right? You're not against the idea at that level....

I'm not being critical, mind, just trying to understand it. I don't have any shortage of vapes in general, or pen styles that will drive carts....didn't stop me from ordering another this weekend to play with did it?

Like I said, I think I understand the frustration of having a bunch of 510 power supplies sitting around and all but if that's all that's holding you back from updating......

It might also have to do with a cool place to put your tender lips?

Oh good point it does look like the mouthpiece attaches to the teflon, not the cart itself...

Yup, something I bet you notice when you try to hit it?

Then again, if it's as cool at Tim seems to indicate.......

Damn! Ever since I saw this thread, all I could think about all day was ordering one. Just placed the order, hope I get it before the weekend, I CAN"T WAIT to try this bad looking boy out! Nice price too. Will be back in a few days to give my first impression, although since I already have the TV1, I know already I will be impressed.

Tally ho!

So...I guess I can't use this with my T1? I could probably use it with any E-cig battery?
