I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I vape only in the evening, and probably don't exceed 3/4 g/day. I'd use more for my injury pains, but due to a head injury I have difficulty with head high causing confusion now.

I do still enjoy night time buzz/relaxation, but am investigating raw cannabis as a daytime use.

I have been juicing raw cannabis leaves when I can, haven't tried the buds yet, but I know there is a huge dose of THCa in raw cannabis that the body can process with out psychoactive properties. Just don't heat it or dry it, and the body will not have those reactions. It is a huge discovery that we should be consuming this plant as a food source, it has healed people with many serious issues. Here is a vid about it:

I bought 2 18mm GONG stems for the Solo - I had been waiting so long. So I got them, and I am using one already, and am happy!

However, one of the other stems seems cracked at the end where it joins. It is right at the edge. I am sort of scared to use it, because I think a piece will chip off.

I just bought a $400 Mobius Matrix, and I don't want to scratch it up - using faulty glass.

I know the gong stems aren't of the highest quality, but I don't want to use a chipped/cracked one.

The stem probably didn't get chipped in the mail, since it was wrapped really well.

Should I take a picture to confirm if the chipped glass should be a concern to me? I am not sure since I am basically a glass noob, and hope I am not being too snobby, but things do cost $$$.

Hi sessnet,
Good choice not to use it if it looks cracked. Can you please email us a picture and we will get it taken care of.

jambandphan03,
That is a great video, those doctors seem to hold some pretty influential positions, nice to see their views on mj as a medicine finally changing for the good. Thanks for sharing.

I tried to take a picture this morning, and guess what....no crack in the glass. I surely couldn't find it, but I am 99.99% certain I saw one in the glass, the day I opened and inspected it.

I will have to look at it under a different light, and keep looking.

However, that probably explains how it might have slipped by inspection, if it is indeed cracked.

crack gremlins fooling with the light through the glass LOL. We do inspect each one under a special light, best is natural sunlight, look at it closely outside when it is sunny and if there are any defects they should be visible.

Hi guys, I was wondering about these stems that you are preparing for the Solo. I would love to have an easier hit but from what I have noticed, if better flow comes from cold air entering the bowl by slight wiggling or by a couple of screens on the hot plate or an SS disk (like Tintest's - haven't tried it), it seems it cools down the air a lot inside the stem bowl and vapor production is very poor. I find it hard to get a nicely browned ABV by wiggling or other method. If I stick to holding the stem securely touching the base of the SS bowl, I get a hell of a drag but vaporisation is faster and more complete.
That leads me to the conclusion we don't need more cold air coming from the sides of the stem but perhaps thinner walls to the stem's bowl (either glass or SS like Ed's). That would allow less coverage of the 4 little holes in the Solo's bowl and more air coming through them. I imagine the walls of the stem's bowl starting with more material near the bottom of it's bowl and thin out where they will touch the Solo's bowl. I don't know if it's possible or if I am right about this or if it's just the m105 that is cooler for me, but these were my findings and I hope it helps a little. :)

That sounds like a great idea, the only downside is they will be more fragile. You know how sometimes you have to jam it in there? If it is thin and you jam it in there - the stem might just give way under the pressure.

If it's possible for the walls to be convex, that would add to the strength. On the other hand if it can't be done with glass, maybe Ed could do it with stainless steel like the stem he tries now....

I think that is the ticket! I have a feeling there is still more things that can be done, all it takes is some smarts and experimentation.

Just ordered some GonG solo stems and other toys. Planetvape was nice enough to send it out first thing the next day and even upgraded my shipping from ground to air so I can enjoy these toys sooner! Thanks a lot, I can't wait try these stems out.

Hi ili,
You make some very good points. That is why we use "micro channels", the theory behind it is that by using several of these very tiny air channels, each one only moves a very small volume of air allowing the air to be fully heated by the time it reaches the bottom of the bowl.

The prototypes we have seem to work very well, we are still testing, there are so many combinations of how many micro channels are best vs. how many face notches are cut.

aesthyrian,
Thank you for your order, we hope to have even more Solo related products available soon.

Ed's stems look really nice, can't wait to try one.

Do you have an ETA on these new stems? And will there be glass-on-glass versions? Thank you!

man I hope this levels out soon, I just bought a bunch of stems for the solo and now they are being redesigned to work better. I may have to resell my stems on the classifieds so I can afford to buy the newer ones. I am glad there are improvements being made, but my wallet can't keep up

Why doesn't Arizer just sell a stem with no holes to be used with a screen?
There must be something with the airflow or hit size?
I'm sure they tried many different options and thought this was ideal.

Come on Ed & PV...we need to try some new goodies!
Can the Solo be even better? Can't wait to see...It's already pretty damn awesome!

We are shooting for a 4/20 release for all 3 variations of the PVHES line. If we get good feedback we could certainly build the same modifications into our Solo GonG adapters. The problem will be cost, each cut or groove costs extra labor time.

Ville23,
Arizer wanted to keep an all glass vapor path, which means no screens. Our PVHES Turbo is just that, the 4 holes are cut out leaving a rim of glass for a screen to rest against. The idea was submitted to us by a customer and we thought others might like it too.

The first few Solo models came with 2 hole stems, which we still sell and then Arizer changed them to a 4 hole design, we are hoping there is still room for improvement.

Wow! I just searched for the SOLO 2X for like an hour on the net! I guess this thing doesn't exist! If only it did though, if only! Do you think that the fact that the current Arizer Solo only goes up to 210 Celsius is an issue, or is that enough to vape all the canabanoids, flavonoids, etc.. necessary to match the psychoactive effect of smoking?
