Very interesting ... the price point is pretty low! I'm interested for sure but also curious what the temps are. Also interested what the power output is and the details on the materials ... might have to get one just to see it ... ... (temperatures is an interesting one because temperature of what? ... temperature of coil? temperature of air or herb? and these things would vary based on air flow ... so any number given would be based on the assumption of consistent variables such as airflow ... most vape manufacturers provide a number to indicate a "ballpark" figure, however, these are just estimates--unless there is an actual sensor in the airpath/chamber)

I have been using this for a couple weeks, and really like it a lot. It is smaller than my Ambit, so I’ve been using it to microdose because we have a shortage of medical cannabis here in Florida. It’s great for conserving, and you can get really big hits on the red setting.

Can you tell us more about your usage? Is the heater in it the same one used in the Ambit? How do the temp settings vary in intensity? Is the herb chamber ceramic? Any info you can provide is great!

Here is some info so far , I been using this vape also for a few days now :

Vivant had contacted me awhile back about checking out a new vaporizer they had planned on coming out with. Well some time has gone by and to my surprise I received the new Vivant VLeaf Go upon opening my mailbox. It is a on-demand convection vaporizer with the ability to do a 30 second session mode if need be , great function if someone wants to go hands free and use this through water. It is super easy to operate, 3 button clicks to start a 30 second session mode or 5 clicks to turn on in non session mode for on-demand use. Once those 5 button presses are done you just simply hold the power button down like all other on-demand vaporizers for instant vapor. 3 Temp settings: Green, Yellow, Red by clicking the button twice to change between them. I personally started on the middle temp setting, got instant vapor on my first hit. I’d say you can average 6-10 hits per packing depending on the temp selected, you can possibly stretch out a few more depending on the temp you start at. The oven is made out of aluminum. The mouthpiece kind of has a stir stick/ packing tool designed into it and is great for a quick stir after a few hits. I wish a extra mouthpiece was included as I feel I may eventually break the stir stick portion of it , it would have been really cool if the mouthpiece was magnetic but it is not , maybe in the future model. I also would have liked to see a user replaceable battery but I think the unit will be coming out at a pretty affordable price point so it is a non issue. They include a really nice brush in the package, some extra screens and parts and a metal stir stick and usb charge cable as well. I am unsure if the unit came partially charged but it only took about 30 minutes of charge time to get going. I did one burn off, followed by a few q-tips and some iso wiping. Battery level can be checked at any time by just clicking once. Taste for me seemed to be really nice the first few hits. No problem at all achieving nice clouds. They supplied me with a 20% off code ( adam20 ) for anyone that would like one , I am not getting paid for this in anyway , I listed my negatives and positives so far. The unit was sent to me at no charge. I did take some images of it and also put it next to my Grasshopper vaporizer for size reference. Price for price I like it better than my hopper and it is quicker to extract as well with better battery life. Instant vapor upon pressing the button and inhaling . It also seems like it would be really hard to combust which is pretty easy to do with most on-demand vaporizers if you are not careful. I’ll try and get more info and pictures as I use it more , I am one battery charge in so far & hoping to try it through water shortly .

The heater is similar to the Vivant, but a smaller chamber. I’m using it mostly to microdose. I like to use the yellow setting, but there are 3, green (lowest), yellow (medium) and red (the hottest setting). The chamber is not ceramic, it is similar to the Ambit in design.

I’ll be doing a review video today on my YouTube channel.

@Vivant been using this vape for awhile now and really like it , I see in the 1st post you had listed replaceable ceramic heater when mine has come with a aluminum one . I’m a bit confused , can you explain ? Or is the oven aluminum but the actual heater that is not seen ceramic .

More important.....can anyone compare vapor quality with other portables?

Or is it the same experience as all the other devices that are small and budget priced?
So far with my use , I can say it puts out some pretty big clouds dependent on how you pack it , what temp is used and how long you hold the button . I was surprised when I took my 1st hit at how I got a nice big thick hit on the medium temp , definitely was not wispy. Pack it somewhat loose with a good tamp and you usually get nice big , thick vapor from it . Pack it a bit tight and it is a bit harder to get the larger clouds . A good 10-15 seconds on the button and I get nice vapor & have yet to even come close to combustion.

Thanks for the early observations. Can you and @Vicki speak to the "on demand convection" claim? An aluminum chamber doesn't sound like a functional element in an on demand convection device and in general these stylish pen designs aren't able to put the heater a meaningful distance from the chamber or provide adequate cooling through the mouthpiece. If you could compare this Vleaf Go to some other on demand convection portables in your upcoming YouTube video (Splinter, Tetra, Tinymight, etc.) that would be great. Thanks again!

I have been using this for a little over a week. It's not bad for the pricepoint, but I found it was not comparable to my other high-end convection vapes.

It's a solid unit and won't be hard to recommend at the price-point (what other sub $100 electronic vapes actually provide a decent experience?) but anyone expecting a serious vape should look at the pricetag again.

The vapor can definitely be a bit harsh from the Go... the heater glows VERY strongly on all temp levels until you start drawing... I have combusted on the medium setting a few times - do not pack it tight unless you want to combust.

I also have an issue where the lid/screen that prevents you from sucking material from the bowl directly into your mouth, will get stuck and fall off as I remove the top-cap to empty/look at the bowl. This can be a slight inconvenience as the metal is pretty hot directly after a session, and it's also quite a small piece, so it'd be hard to find if it was dropped.

The herb capacity and battery life are both a bit smaller than I'd prefer but again, for the pricetag, it's pretty hard to argue considering it can definitely pump out some vapor.

I'll be happy to try and get a video up this weekend if people are interested.

I will not be making a video but as for on demand convection vaporizers I have the splinter , ghost MV1 , grasshopper and the Musa 510 I use . I can feel a bit of heat from all of them on the mouth when using depending on the temp used and stem . The MV1 not so much as the others . With the Vivant , yes I can feel some mouth heat but that is mostly when I don’t have my lips around the mouthpiece completely and around the air inlet . There is some heat there but nothing major . The hopper definitely has more heat coming to the mouth than the Vivant . I’m still testing .

Any off taste when new? How isolated is the air path? Do we know the materials involved? It's usually on these points that most Chinese vapes let us down unfortunately.

Seems like they finally understood we preferred convection and possibly on demand, but they often don't really get what we mean when we request clean vapor paths from start to end.

Just generalizing here, could be good this time? Until someone again finds Teflon somewhere and it all goes haywire afterwards haha! :p

PS: just had a doubt and double-checked, in my memories Vivant was Chinese but like a lot of other similar companies, they have a US site and claim "designed in California" (+ "manuf in PRC") so it can be confusing... so who knows for sure?

Nah I was not crazy, it's just a smoke screen: https://vivantvape.en.alibaba.com/company_profile.html

But just to be clear, I'm not implying that it's bad quality just because it's made over there. Just that we collectively tested so many Chinese vapes together over the years, that I tend to be super cautious. So many times they looked promising at first but upon more thorough inspection, cracks often started to reveal themselves... so to speak.

It had a bit of a off taste when new , I did some really good wipe downs and burn offs , it really was not so noticeable for me but something smelled a bit like plastic . I also soaked the mp in some iso , follows by swabbing everything with iso and qtips . I can’t really detect any off taste now at all when using it. I’d also like to know all the materials used .

3 temp settings isn't fantastic ... but would like to know what those 3 temps are!

This really is a convection vape, so there is no such thing as 'what those 3 temperatures are'. Only conduction vapes can do this (no matter what the maker or seller says) since it's not possible to actually sense the load temperature. Folks don't understand the concepts here, I fear. Convection means a very hot source (you can see it glow below and empty bowl) superheats the air to make the vapor (meaning it enters much hotter than it leaves). More so the incoming air is a mixture of temperatures since contact inside the heater is not uniform. You get more or less heater power with the settings. It's relative. Draw rate has a LOT to do with it, probably more than a change in settings.

Again, if your vape has a XXX degree display it is NOT convection. Them's the rules of Thermodynamics.

looks fun for out and about. how big is the oven?

Small. About .33 inches in diameter, .40 deep. Load weight varies a lot. For me a full load is about .1 grams (as opposed to say .25 for Solo), but I've got good results from loads as small as 035. No magic here, of course. 'You need to put it in to get it out'. There's only something like .007 grams of THC maximum in that load, of which you probably get maybe 4 or 5. Way short of a session for most, but a useful 'top up'?

OTOH, if you long for a vape for effective 'micro dosing' you should consider this one, it does it and does it well.

Again, this really is convection, it doesn't depend on contact (loose or partial loads work). There is no 'heat soak', in fact just the opposite. A pause between hits lowers vapor production on the next hit, not increases it.

Thanks for the early observations. Can you speak to the "on demand convection" claim? An aluminum chamber doesn't sound like a functional element in an on demand convection device and in general these stylish pen designs aren't able to put the heater a meaningful distance from the chamber or provide adequate cooling through the mouthpiece. !

IMO it's real. While 'on demand' is a subjective term it's definitely convection. There is no physical connection between the heater and the load. The heater looks to be a Nickle strip in a ceramic body under (but not touching) the aluminum bowl. Hot air, not conduction, does the good work.

As far as 'on demand' goes it takes a second or so for the button press to be detected (as opposed to a quicker push for battery level) and maybe a second or two to 'full glow'. Since the bowl and load masses are small, the hot air heats up to 400F or so very quickly. You can be making vapor in well under ten second from pulling it out of your pocket. Hard to imagine it being much faster.

Yes, it can get warm/hot in use but clever use of a silicone spacer really pays off here in not conduction heat to the MP.

FWIW, I think this is a winner. If you're at all interested you should get one (they're plenty cheap), it's very likely to change your mind about convection (even if you 'know' your vape is a hybrid and already delivering convection.....which is not possible outside marketing hype, really). This is like say VG where technique plays a huge role. Two different users can get entirely different results with the same basic setup. It takes some modest skill, but the rewards are there. It's some 'set and forget' deal like most vapes. Again, if your vape has a specific temperature setting, this one is way different.

"Come on in, the water's fine"

Regards to all.

Lonesome Planet
I was recently given the opportunity to review a new flower vaporizer by Vivant.

When I received the package from Vivant, I was excited,
As I find Vivant to make some interesting, innovative products in the past.

Inside was a very attractive packaging, in black and green. Vivant’s VLeaf GO!

Upon pulling open the contents, there was a black bullet like
Cylinder of Vivant’s newest entry level flower vaporizer. In addition, there were spare parts, cleaning brush, poking tool, and a small, quick paper guide.

A quick charge of the battery and we were good to GO.

No burn off factory smell upon firing it up a few times.

The three settings green/white/red seemed low for higher temperature extractions. However, the vaporizer seemed to extract surprising well at these presets.

The taste was good on green (I am a low temperature toker). On
The other hand, when you do get on the high settings, the taste
Was a bit dry, and hot. Harsh.
Due, probably to the short vapor path from heater to mouthpiece.

The small capacity battery had drained down with the repeated
Attempts to get it up to higher extraction temps. But, because it
Was a small battery, it was fully charged again, in under an hour
.

I carried the little VLeaf GO in my pants pocket for the next few days, and in my shirt pocket.

When carried in my pants, the sleeve and mouthpiece would end up off the body of the GO. I have had to find the stainless steel strainer sometimes at a loss, in my pants. Things came apart.

Which was why I found putting it in the shirt pocket a little easier to deal with.
Even then, it tend
ed to come apart.

A small flashlight pen clip solved that problem.
A small carry bag for the ladies might prove prudent.
Below is a picture of said suggested items.

I
believe Vivant has a deep interest in the health benefits/issues of its products, and as such it would be prudent to replace (what looks like, but may not be) the aluminum heater receptacle/shield with a stainless steel one. And to either make the air path from the heater element longer; or alternatively, have an optional aftermarket cooling water adapter.

The load capacity of the GO is necessarily small. As such the
User would have to continually take it apart. And reload. This
Can be a challenge while on the GO.

Perhaps a set of preloaded dosing capsules would ensure the user with an adequate
supply for the day without fuss. Offered as an additional priced accessory.

(Example of dosing capsules)

Lastly, a higher capacity battery, for on the GO use.

In future iterations, a swappable battery would ensure continued user friendly
Sessions for the day.

In conclusion, the VLeaf GO by Vivant is an attractively packaged
Entry level flower vaporizer for those new to the vaporizer scene.

With some minor issues, Vivant now has in its vibrant products
A new offering which shares the innovative DNA of its predecessors.

Would I purchase this neat little device for my niece/nephew? Yes,
Given that the price point is reasonable for the target market.

GO, Vivant! Keep up the bright, new innovations, Gentlemen, and Ladies!

I humbly thank Vivant for letting me write a short review of their new GO-to product.
