These issues have been brought up repeatedly throughout this thread. I think your definition of "stiff" may be a bit unorthodox.... The e-nano's cable is one of the stiffest I have ever used in over a decade of tinkering with electronic music gear... I have literally bagfulls of cables of various kinds!

My peeve really is that epicvape have become succesful primarily through this forum as far as I can tell, yet they do not seem to be taking in hardly any of the user feedback on here.
Remember: that HOMO SAPIEN’s are driven by EGO?
The NANO is simple even for those that are challenged!

The Nano is tiny & has a cord in it so you can knock it over if you’re clumsy, but it’s not a flaw it’s actually why it’s so great. It’s a tiny plugin vaporizer that hits hard for its size & looks great doing it.
To make it bigger or give it a wider base would ruin the form factor & make it unusable with certain bubblers. For anyone who has this problem they offer stable bases on the website.
I reckon Epic do listen to the feedback from here, I have a few cords & the old ones were definitely stiff. The new cord I received in June last year is very soft & pliable. It’s such a great little vape.

If you're still using one from 4 years ago, you might not have noticed that they did improve the cable for/on the latest models. My newest Nano from late 2019 has a very easy-going and bendy as heck cable. I use it on top of my bubbler daily. No problems knocking it down or anything like that.

Yeah, they do crack along that cut-out but the cable is much improved.

A few pages back someone mentioned how they clean by taking the screens and tossing them into that cleaning tube the stems come with. I just did that, and holy cow... it's much easier than the clean each stem manually method I was using. It takes forever doing it manually, but taking the screens out of the stems and putting them into the container with ISO and coarse salt only needed 20s of shaking to clean all of them. Then I used a fat wire brush doused in the salty ISO to clean the insides of each stem. Took maybe 5 mins total to clean 12 screens and 8 14mm stems. I also was able to clean up without taking so long that my left arm and shoulder become numb.

++ for giving me that idea!!!

So, is this well established and I just missed it?

I realized why using the screen as a basket is superior, finally, not just preference and switched. Using it as a basket, the screen takes up the space directly next to the glass, if there were weed there instead, it'd be getting the least heat of the entire bowl. So we're slightly shrinking the bowl and putting it more in the path of the hottest air, I think.

I know, it cooks pretty evenly, but I still think there's something here.

Feedback?

I never cared for the way the edges of the basket screen would hang on to bits of the flower, so I use my baskets "edge-down".

I do get your "weed is kept away from the glass" point, though.

Definitely inverting the screen clogs things up more and ultimately requires more cleaning. I use basket style with my milaana and my nomad (neither of those run the risk of the screen making contact with the heater) but not with he nano. I think it’s because it’s easier to keep the screen clear of the heater with the loose ends pointing away from rather than toward the heater. A few weeks ago I was out of town and despite the best made plans I found myself without a premade nano screen and had to improvise. Ended up it was easier to get a regular flat screen into the stem in a basket shape. I found that the herb was sitting away from the heater. I like the herb snugged up to the heater.

ok, i have also noticed increased clogging, but i am willing to put up with that, since the vapour seems thicker to me.

#1 Less actual hot air inhaled
#2 better flavour

Question: Does the Arizer Solo water pipe adaptor work with the E-nano?
Im from europe and I broke my adapter ;'(
any ideas?

few more thoughts.

- The screen seems to require more cleaning, but maybe the glass will need less? Some of what stuck to the sides of the stem will stick to the screen instead, and that one particular spot seems to get especially rez'd up.

- I can start with more flower than sits inside the actual 'basket' i.e. overflowing. As I take a hit or 2 it'll dehydrate and shrink to fit better in the basket, just as it's getting to that 3rd hit where vapour production usually falls off IME.

good way to clean screens is with fire! u can remove the residue easier, when u burn it

I put one of these on my enano back in late 2016. It has never been off since. It does reduce side-pull when used inverted on a bubbler, which is the only way I've ever used mine.

NOT typically, IME (seems like we were using bold so I decided to join in).

It does happen, IMO its from wood not being sufficiently dry before milling, but I wouldn't say at all that its typical.

Right. What I meant to say is that, judging by the photos posted here, IF the e-nano wood splits, the split typically runs down the back and ends at the power socket. The fact that in my case the split actually extends to the plastic of the socket made me think that the issue is because of constant torque applied by the cable trying to un-twist itself.

And yes I have the OG cable and not about to pay the postage costs to get another one from epicvape as I'm in the UK. Instead I am going to hack my cable and extend it with some very flexible 2-core silicone cable I just bought, and replace the plug with a smaller, lighter one. Will post photos.

Heyo Uk here too with an old stiff cable but unspilt wood, touch wood!. If you are twisting the cable again and again then you have learnt a bad habit and need to retrain your self. I have a habit of picking it up one way put it down the same. Just make a mental note each time. Before you know it , It will be 2nd nature. Like this, no matter how many hits I take day and night there is only 1 halth twist in my cable and thats there coz I want it to be.

I was thinking about replacing the rod and dail on mine to 230v....But 230v exposed metal and no earth could be deadly. I think this is why they have not made a 230V model.

Woodscents and underdogs are 12v powered So we should look to them or closer to home with HomeGrownLogs(UK). I have never tried these 3.

There is a GREAT DIY Log guild on this forum. You might want to gut you old Nano and put a cartridge heater inside. Which is what I will do to my nano if it EVER dies .

I wanted a 12v log vape but back when I ordered the enano I couldn't find one with a temperature control that wasn't an ugly DIY box.

I have no idea what a cartridge heater is and what this is about? got a link to the thread?

My other problem with the enano is that you cannot use standard glass pieces as you can with other vapes, and ordering replacement adapters and stems from the US is expensive because of postage and potential customs charges...
I wanted to get my own replacement GonG adapter made by a local glass blower and wondering if the enano stem is a standard size borosilicate tube? Has anyone found tubes that fit perfectly?

Why don't you take your existing glass and Nano to your local blower to look at? It will really help them in reproducing all the details of the piece. As to cartridge heaters https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartridge_heater Good Luck
