Discontinued Glass Symphony XLR

pxl_jockey

Just a dude
Plus, when you leave the room, it is probably recommended to turn the GS off.

Hey my friends with a GS-XLR! This particular bit of the post above from @GoldenBud has been rolling around in my sub-conscience and finally came bubbling to the surface this afternoon. Like BLAM! This is an important consideration that I didn't consider! I guess I always assumed it could be left on all day and be used when required but I guess that's not the case? So tell me what is true, good people?

Would you recommend that the GS be turned off if leaving the room? Would you say the GS could be safely left on for 12-15 hours a day? Or this a "turn it on, wait a little, have a session, turn it off" vape?

When using my GS on weekends, I turn it on in the morning and sometimes it only gets turned off Sunday night or Monday morning...LOL!
I have been told by the man himself that it can be left on for days without any issues.
He has left his one on for months at a time with no issues.

Only thin I would recommend is that if you are leaving the room for a few hours, turn it down a bit as it heats up quite quickly again from a semi hot state.

Mine sits at 868F for extended periods of time.
Having to stop and start this beast would become tiresome quite quickly...

SORRY ! Only if you live with some other people/pets in your house, it's dangerous if somebody will break the GS while it's hot. many hot beads.....

If you're living alone... it's fine to leave it ON.

:( haven’t heard from Jojo I sent him my heater a while ago and haven’t heard anything
That's interesting, you would assume he would not leave you hanging in suspense like that without contact at some point.

Are you GS'less now Zow? I know you adore your Symphony. Have you been reverting to the Flowerpot?

One thing, im sure there will be a lot of relieved, happy and excited members here to see when Jojo does finally return, full of beans and tales of giant beanstalks no doubt.

I see, thanks for explaining in which case I'm sure Jojo isn't too rushed about getting back to you and will will do so when he's good and ready along with everybody else's enquiries and requests.

Glad to hear you have a backup though Zow, providing I didn't misread that. The Chinese whispers us stoners manage to create out of nothing eh? Take care bro anyway.

Funny seeing a small country like Israel mentioned here in relation with big number of Glass Symphony owners

I hope Brendan is alright and will pop up anytime soon

cheers

I really do hope Brendan is alright and will get back to us soon :(
Too right bro. If he didn't have such a natural AWOLL character, with a tendency to perhaps go off in literally any direction in life on a new adventure at any point and drop everything else, I would be more concerned but for sure I hope he's okay and doing well and and that we get to see him back here again before much longer.

Have you read the thread??
No one has heard from the maker for a very long time...
Consider this thread for info only at this point.

No one has a current email address, telephone number or any way to contact Glass Symphony.

Until the maker re-appears we are on our own for now.

What do you need help with?

I've reached out via a different email address. If I don't hear back soon, I'm going to put the disco tag on this thread.:rip:

I've also been patiently waiting to purchase... Definitely considering trying to DIY something similar at this point. Don't forget we have JoJo's development thread...

My last email I got from GS was in July 2019. I had to order a replacement heater as my old one broke. Glad I was able to get a replacement.

Sourcing the heater encased in glass is the secret sauce I believe. Pretty sure the other bits can be sourced from science / lab shops.

This was and still is one of the heavy hitting vapes in my collection. The cost to value ratio is very high on the value side. If Jojo returns I am for sure picking up another heater for back up.

I have stalked this thread for so long. I dream of using it, even if I can't practically own it. I'm sad to hear it's might not get made or serviced again. Freaking work of science!

Yeah, its why I get so NOT excited about artisan, eccentric, craft vape manfacturers.....LOL

Luckily my #1 V1 is still ripping bowls and giving zero f@#$s. Lol. Just kidding.
For this reason it only gets used very seldomly, just in case...But it is WAY up there in the heavy hitters and can hang with the best.

I do hope jojo returns or at least can provide a full parts list and vendor's, then building the heaters will be pretty easy.

I like supporting some of the "Artisan" vapes but some of them are crazy $$$...

As @Dubmonkey said, the cost of the GS and it effects are amazing.
I will have to go through pages of PM's with jojo about the GS from its conception. There may be something in there.
