@PuffItUp , when do you guys expect to carry volcano easy valve starter set? Been looking at your site and keep seeing out of stock. You're one of my favorite retailers to purchase from

Stoked to see you are carrying Rio! I got mine out of the first batch and have been BLOWN away by this rig. Totally changed the portable game for me. Pulling the Rio is like giving the middle finger to every crappy pen and disappointing cart I've ever tried. They really put a killer package together, and at this price point everyone should have one.

I could not imagine camping or going to a festival without it!

...and Cold Starts ROCK!

@FlyingLow it was love at first sight haha. What really makes the RIO awesome is the case and plugs, so you can travel around with a glass rig full of water like it's no big deal.

We tried to do a 1hr live stream with the rio, it lasted about 10 minutes until we were too "Rio'ed" to keep going.

Cheers!

LOL I love it!

To all concentrate users reading this thread: GO GET A RIO!!!

Absolutely right, the case/package/plugs/etc - really bring it to the next level.

Cleaning is easier than any rig I own. I ALWAYS give a quick clean at the end of the day, and leave the rig in clean travel condition with fresh water, ready to go for the next adventure.

When I got the Rio, I realized I am never again going to wonder what the next great pen is- pens are obsolete!:rockon::rockon:

Not into concentrates yet BUT this Rio sounds interesting. For us conc newbies, does Randy @PuffItUp have a video
that would help show what it does/ what it has to offer?? ....video on Dr Dabber Switch??

Different deal but how would Rio compare to Dr Dabber Switch??

Likely conc would be CBD Rosin so would that work well in both of those?

@MinnBobber The switch and rio would be fun to compare. I'm working on stuff for the carta and the terp pen right now and ill add that to my list.

Other than producing giant concentrate clouds, they don't have a lot in common. I would say the biggest difference between the two is size. The RIO is smaller and much more portable where the switch is a lot bigger and more appropriate for a desktop.

Here they are side by side

I'm not much of a concentrate guy either but here is my impression of the differences between the two:

-Switch is considerably bigger, runs off of batteries or mains, induction heating, can use with flower, quicker heat up, twice the cost of the Rio
-Rio is much smaller, uses a built-in and replaceable torch and can not be used with flower, 14mm compatible, slower heat up, more affordable

This said, I personally find the Rio to be more appealing than the Switch due to its smaller form factor, powered by butane and that it's 14mm compatible. The 14mm compatibility seems really interesting here. You can essentially remove the banger, disregard the torch and use the Rio as a water piece with your 14mm compatible dry herb vapes (e.g. Dynavap). Throw a DV into the Rio's carrying case and that seems like a killer OTG option (it seems like you could use the torch on the rio to heat the Dynavap...probably not the best option but would work if in a pinch). They also include plugs for the 14mm female joints in case you want to travel with water in the Rio itself. I also like the overall modularity of the Rio. I can foresee a lot of customizable options for this down the road.

It also seems like you have better on the fly adjustment of the heat with the Rio since its powered by a torch which can be immediately and easily adjusted. Seems like the ability to fine tune heat like this would be much better for cold starts too.

For disclosure, I don't have either and only have the Carta right now. That said, I am very much considering going with a Rio from PUI so I've been researching the Rio a bit. If I am making bad assumptions please feel free to slap my hand and correct me.

@flammy that's spot on, thanks for commenting. I would personally go with the rio because of the portability. The Switch heats up surprisingly fast and I dig the use of induction heating. However the portability aspect of the rio is pretty awesome.

Another thing to consider is charging. The switch doesn't take too long to charge, however you can fill up the rio butane tank in seconds.

You can micro adjust the flame on the rio which is cool. However you can argue that the pre-set temps on the switch are more consistent. With the rio, if I'm not careful i can overcook my concentrates or get too small of a rip. The Switch for me takes less thought to get a perfect rip.

There is a lot to like about both IMO.

Switch, Peak and others... They are all devices. Not to sound harsh, but they are kinda like refined vape pens on steroids with water.

I consider the Rio as a traditional torch dab rig, miniaturized. Nothing else like it.

I asked about the status of the Pith in @PuffItUp's stream today & they said that it wad redesigned to remove the teflon & improve the mouthpiece. It's either $29 or $39 - didn't hear clearly. Zakk said it's the size of his pinky. Randy said the taste corresponds with it's price, but it's great for taking on vacation & tossing before heading home. They have a few in stock, so call if interested. Tomorrow they said they are gonna demo it in their stream.

*Note, this is no longer a FocusV product.

@PuffItUp Could you explain why you no longer sell to Massachusetts? I know that there is a four month ban on the sale of liquid nicotine/THC/CBD cartridges in the state, but I don't under stand why you no longer allow the sales of glass mouthpieces and aromatherapy hardware devices to Massachusetts residents.

I tried to place an order for some glass mouthpieces and saw that your state drop-down field no longer includes Massachusetts. When I asked on your chat forum as to why Massachusetts was missing, I was told it was because of the vape ban in Mass.

This whole package is my travel kit now :D

The M19 WAS the upgrade I really wanted and could not justify purchasing. I was only after the airflow improvement, but wow, I just fell in love with the looks straight away. Silo is something I NEEDED but made do with cheaper options and for some reason I thought it was plastic, Just realised it was aluminum. Put a magnet in and its rocks. Quad lighter.... I prefer my single I think, but great for outside and on the go.

I have already shared the love, My old M18 has gone to a friend that smokes tobacco with flower in joints and he is trying to give up nicotine. Dynavap helped me quit, I hope it helps him too.
