Have you seen the new dab dish for the SSV and DBV? Makes them the ultimate machine! Vape, dab and diffuse, all with ease. Have you ever hooked up your SSV to a rig? That's how I run mine all day:)
I liked the LSV with my water pipes (what a dumb MF 2 have so many?)

The SSV I use dry however the heater is the same from what little I can tell?
The configuration is different maybe?

Yes, all the vapes from 7th Floor use the same amazing heater. It's more a preference really. The angle of teh SSV and SUP are important so the herb does not fall in the heater. Then with the way the SSV and DBV are made they can put the dab dish on it as well as an aroma top to diffuse essential oils. All our vapes can work with a water pipe with an adapter.

See, I'm always weirded out by people who say this.
I've used my DBV a LOT in the past, when it was only my second vaporizer in the whole wide world (those were desolate days, when I had so little vaporizing equipment). However, I can't recall ever dropping herb into the heater...except for one time when I coughed with my mouth still on the whip and blew the whole load back into the heater. But that would happen if I'd coughed into it like that no matter what angle the wand was at. As long as the chamber was packed right, then nothing moved.

Haven't posted in here for years.. and this is not the reason to come back. My ex broke my heater cover last year by slamming the vape on the ground. I just ordered a heater cover and it will be here today, powered it up for the first time today and the unit is not getting hot whatsoever. The heating element isn't turning orange or anything but the LED is orange and is working fine. No heat at all though.. please send me any insight you have. I haven't used this vape in a year and I have had it for 5 years! Thanks guys!

No my friend, never, but I have heard about it and I would really love to try it, it sounds right down my street.

It simply will never happen though unless I can grow it myself one day, not an option outdoors though would only be possible indoor. Maybe (Maui) one day lol.

I also never tried the LSV. Now that is an actual possibility. I am intrigued by it and I would like to try it the only thing which holds me off is the likelihood of an intolerance reaction to yet another great model while I still have a mini collection of of virtually brand new unused vaporizers which I can't tolerate and I still need to sell but have not been well enough to make any grounds with of late.

But I may be scooping for the LSV at some point. I think it looks and sounds like one of the more underrated vaporizers on the market. For where it sits in terms of popularity and notoriety I would say it receives a considerably higher level of praise from most users across the board in relation to many other more popular models today.

I also see people in this bread querying the price recently which I have to say seems pretty damn fair for what you are getting.

Sounds like you need to replace the heating element. It may have shorted out or broken. You can order the parts and do it yourself, or send it to 7th Floor, and they will repair it for you. There are video's that show how to do it in case you want to see what's involved. This video shows how to repair the dimmer switch, but you'll get the gist, and I'm sure you can find other video's.

Hope this helps...

Hi, and sorry to hear the misshape. We can for sure get you a new heater and its pretty easy to put in. Looks like Vital got you taken care of with a video. Also, if you are into dabs we now have an amazing dab dish for the units.

Hey jyst wanna say how nice and appreciated it is when you get to see a trend how a particular member will like EVERY post in a thread except your own. I think we call that taking a dislike and holding a grudge, or at least being prejudiced.

Certainly very mature anyhow, especially when you are making perfectly valid comments like the next man. Nice one girl thanks a lot. ;)

Many times in life you get what you pay for. The materials used a first class and built in the USA. Remember you like to get paid and that is why you charge for what you charge. Wish it was a world we just made things for free, I know I would like it:)

Didn't 7th floor moving production to China good several years ago? Around the same time that you increased the price of the DBV? Seems that outsourcing should decrease price, not only increase profit margins.

Doesn't really matter though, this thread is an ancient as the LSV. I'm certainly not looking to purchase one or anything like it, not in 2019. So discussing the pricing seems rather pointless at this time. I created this thread 9 years ago man..

Suit yourself, as I sure am wanting to pick up one (as are many others here)!

I at least know for sure that my DBV and SSV are lonely without their other family member in my collection!
Why would I want to leave them so lonely without their sibling?!?
Plus, I get to pretend that I'm a Jedi as I get stoned!
It's win-win :smug:

I know I want one. The LSV is the next vape I plan to buy. I love my SSV and my Super Surfer, and have room in my heart for an LSV for sure. I've no problem with tried and true.

Yes I too concur ladies and gents. This really appeals to me on many fronts, and I realised recently that I have let it escape my awareness how much of a good option it would be for me.

If I was certain I could tolerate it I would buy one tomorrow (only because it's Sunday and I'm feeling lazy today haha otherwise I would buy one today if I was certain I could tolerate it without an adverse reaction).

But two particular members, both hardcore vapers whose opinions I respect, piped my ears on the LSV:

More recently, the lovely "Mr" @arb  Hey man hope yourself and Mrs Arb are doing okay. You really caught my attention recently seeing all of the love and passion you were showing after you discovered this vaporize yourself. (Btw @arb haven't seen you here for a bit hope everything's okay and look forward to seeing you back again.)

But originally, a few years ago now, I was looking into the Vriptech Heat Wand, and had my heart pretty set on it.

But then I discovered the equally lovely @Vitolo . Somehow I ended up asking him about gis feelings on the VHW, after being surprised by his revere for the "Cheap" LSV, the poor man's VHW.

I was really baffled when he told me me out right and categorically, that he he unquestionably preferred the LSV over the Vriptech Heat Wand, and he would recommend the LSV to any and all medical patients over and above it.

Obviously practicality, ease of use and fragility/reliability would have been factors in this but when I pushed further it appeared that Vitolo actually just really rated the LSV and didn't find it lackong in vapor quality or effects to the VHW.

So that pipped my ears, except rather then making me Rush out and buy this vaporizer it made me think- maybe the VHW isn't all that if this cheapy, clunky thing is more highly regarded by top recreational and medical vapor pros.

This was a key influence at the time which deterred me from being resolute about trying the Vriptech. But I understand now that msybe the LSV is just a very good device, and quite underrated.

I still have a dream of owning the Vriptech sooner or later, and again if I could predict whether I would actually be able to tolerate it or not I'm sure I would probably buy one on Monday afternoon lol!

So I'm source of trying to guess which one of these two Vaporizers would be less likely to cause an adverse allergy reaction, but it really is a guess and a gamble.:\

I know we use glass and metal with no plastics. I do feel our Silver Surfer is one of the most ultimate machines and with the new dab dish and the ability to leave on all day with the aromatop, its a win in my book. If you have any questions, please throw them my way :)

Yes thanks Steve im aware of that and this is nothing to do with purity of materials I have the most unusual and bizarre allergies you can imagine I reacted adversity in a totally unexplainable and nonsensical manner to virtually every vaporizer out there which has absolutely nothing to do with the materials used.

It makes absolutely no sense for example my daily driver heavy hitter for the past 18 months has been your very own amazing Elev8r vaporizer.

I can use this device without any apparent reaction to the device itself or the vape signature or vapor profile. I am allergic to cannabis still and practically everything else so I still suffer and adverse respiratory reaction whatever and however I vaporize but I do not suffer an additional and much more severe intolerance type reaction to the Elev8r.

However, I cannot use the EVO or Glass Symphony one little bit without suffering an extremely severe type of allergic reaction which is completely intolerable even though the materials are identical to the Elev8r, similar hit size,, performance and extraction power.

I cant even take a tiny invisible whisp from those vapes, barely getting any effects from weed without a really severe reaction which just doesn't make sense.

I have the same experience with many other devices both portable and desktop where I cannot tolerate them at all,l despite being able to tolerate other models which work very similarly and have the exact same materials and nothing extra for me to react to in that sense.

The only way I can explain it is to suggest that every vaporizer effectively creates a different substance in the Vapour it produces and my immune system selectively reacts differently to to each one depending on on whether it draws the short straw or not it would almost seem.

So it's an unusual situation Steve, I dont have any answers for it. All I know is my immune system is crazy as shit, messed up to fuck from long term Lyme Disease which flipped my whole world upside down and it is never stopped spinning since.

Thanks for reaching out Steve and being willing to try and help and advise I really appreciate your presence here I know you have been under quite a lot of stress for the past 18 months and I wish you the best best of luck with keeping your company going well, huge credit to you and everything you have achieved so far really well done.

Have you guys had any experience with the LSV not performing as well with different outlets/power supply's? I just moved and my LSV is not getting the same hits/power it seems at 12 like I usually do.. odd because it seems to get much hotter faster also. I don't want to turn it up because it will burn it more than I like/want for flavor and conservation wise, but it's frustrating that I'm not getting the big vapor hits I'm used to it giving me. Any tips? It's plugged straight to the wall. Thanks!

I havn;t had it with the lsv, however, when was starting out vaping i borrowed a friends ssv, loved it but moved after having a few days and couldn't get the same results. Turns out the ceramic rod had moved in transit and was sitting lower than should. Any chance your heater has dropped?

I agree with Chainfish...check and see if the ceramic heating element is pulled all the way up. You should be able to see a thin silver colored band or ring at the base of the ceramic heater. If you don't see the silver ring, carefully remove the glass heater cover, gently pull the heating element back up until you see that silver ring, then carefully put the glass heater cover back on. ;)

Hope this helps...

Please let us know if that solves the problem.

I think Vital has the idea. Always do this when the unit is turned off. If the heater fell down, you can turn it up, it will burn but the full heat is shifted so you can find a new sweet spot. I think what Vital suggested is the best though.
