In the quest for finer-ground weed for the Weedeater, does anyone know how the SLX grinder compares to the ones NV sells?

I need to edit this as my heat up time has changed dramatically. Don’t know if it was the autotune I ran or if the coil needed to get conditioned, or if I just got use to using the correct draw speed for a given temperature but... I can now turn the unit on from room temp and be making clouds at 575° With the weedeater nut on my Vrod after only two minutes. Seems like it heats up a lot faster then it did the first couple of days. Anyone know more detail about the autotune on the NV pid? Not sure if Auber has a similar function. Thanks and sorry if I mislead anyone about the warm up time.

I've never had an issue with the NV PID and never tuned it either. Few minutes and it's good.

Simple. There is a loading tool in the right rear that can’t be seen well. I need to drill a hole for a stir stick. Carb cap is for a Vrod dabs, I haven’t felt the need to use one with the weedeater.

@Gigsabits53, did you also get the WE nut?
I did not. I had so much in my cart, well over $600 before discount. I actually had a moment where I realized I was an adult and not a kid in the candy store. There are so many beautiful products! I know I will be back to the store soon so I figure I will grab that down the road. I may get a showerhead too, if still available. Even with the discount I was still able to control my spending somewhat. This is definitely the most money I have spent on a vape at one time, a little scary.

Now I get to sit back and wait for it to arrive.:)

But when you get it, you'll find it was so worth the pain to your wallet.
I know I'm going to absolutely love it! Been keeping up with the thread for a long time. I always had something come up when I wanted to purchase, such is life. Came here yesterday and saw they were having a 7/10 sale and knew I was in this time. I know I'm getting a quality product. I'm a patient man when it comes to buying new stuff, but I must admit I'm eagerly anticipating it's arrival.

Thanks for your help:)

Today is the day I want to to get a nice new flower rig for the Vrod. Mid-size, a bent or angled neck of some kind so I don't have to stand or tilt it...smooth and good function. Preserve taste and get some cloud.

I'm a day late with most the discounts, but just got paid. My LHS has many of the Mobius glass I've seen mentioned around here, including the Binary Matrix recently showcased by @nodrog ! I can't drop $500ish on it, but I'll bring $350 and hope it's been sitting for a while! Going to function test a few, including Ion II Matix (I like the belly on it), the Atom (I'm unsure of the flat mouthpiece and would be better to try with actual product than just water test it) and a Stereo Matrix 50t or 50b (they have one of them I think).

They're also expecting a big Sovereignty drop any day now, maybe even by tomorrow. I may wait for that, even though most will probably be too expensive for me.

We should probably start a Flowerpot specific thread in the Glass section here at FC. The variety of glass you can use is one of the many cool things about the FP system

Found the Binary Matrix on FB for $250 used, likewise my Recurve on IG for $200. From my experience with both those plus the Nuc, I'd suggest either the Binary Matrix or the Recurve over the Nuc OR over other matrix percs. Why? IMO, the more fine the diffusion, the more flower vapor is lost in the water, the less the effect. The WE seems to work great with water, but I think I'm noticing better effects from less diffusion. So, I'd steer you away from the 50t or 50b, Nuc, or Atom. But honestly, these are nuanced differences. I can't imagine you'd be unhappy with ANY Mobius piece! (but I'm a total Mobius fanboy, so take that with a grain of...glass?). If your LHS could let the Binary go for $350, GO FOR IT.

Also, while a water test is helpful, again, I have found better effects with flower vapor with slightly less diffusion. Oil, I totally prefer fine-grained diffusion. YMMV and probably will!

I break too many pieces, $30 copies off dhgate are more than enough for me. I doubt multiple hundred % increase in price is actually worth it. But I get some people collect that stuff.

I don't like supporting copy cats, but these artists are just creating artificial demand on social media and it's turned into a very annoying thing all its own. Plenty of competent scientific glass workers out there who could be put to work making a cheaper mass produced made in US version.

I tried no/less water and didn't enjoy it. I use water to cool the vapor and help remove particles such as metal, glass, etc that might be coming into the piece. The slight increase in taste isn't worth losing the other benefits imo.

Hey just picked up a showerhead, flower bowl, cap, and coil off the classifieds w a couple other parts. I know i will need a e nail controller. Any cheap setups that work well? Im povished this month as is. lol. know I def gotta work on a stand as well. Anyone with tips or pointers hmu. What I got is still up for an idea of what i got. I may just get a basic analog one for now. Of course I miss the 7/10 sale. Prob still too broke anyway. Super excited to give the newvape stuff a try. I went portable crazy w my dynavap collection. Dont get me wrong I have one that lives near my recliner. Now I want a nice workstation that packs a bang. I have pretty much only heard good things. Any help w be greatly appreciated.

...i'm gonna assume you mean PID or controller? auber is a great choice thats economical and afaik not a lot of complaints if any with these units. i have both the rdk 200 and 300...

https://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45&products_id=459 rdk-200

https://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45&products_id=484 rdk-300

...the rdk 200 is not expensive, and besides the cheap looking housing it does not have the auto-shut off... the rdk 300 has auto shutoff (i disabled) but has a nicer housing.... afaik thats the only difference between the two.....

Ok, I have been using my FP multiple times a day for almost two weeks now. Just realized I haven’t had to clean anything yet! Just brush out the screen and bowl every few uses and done!

That’s one of the great things about the FlowerPot - if you keep up with minimal regular maintenance of the screen and glass, you rarely have to do anything beyond that!

Sticking the bowls/screens, glass, dabbers and dish in iso occasionally is about the only thing I’ve done in the year and a half I’ve had it, and most of that was optional. :)

I’m not sure what the connection on the coil you have is (was it a D-Nail with an adapter to also fit a NewVape controller? I think that was just in the classifieds), so you should be able to use a standard NV controller or I believe the Auber controller they sell. I prefer the Auber overall, but both are fine and just about anything that has the same wiring should work too.

Congrats on getting into another great vaporizer, and I hope you enjoy it at least as much as your VapCaps! :)
