Here's a little quick start video for the dp-bj3t33 personal heat press kit. Hopefully it will help beginners get started pressing.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about pressing. It's inching it's way up my 'vape gear needs' list but it comes with a higher price tag so I want to be sure I'm getting the right gear for my needs. Buy once, cry once.

@Moses Baca for you I would recommend the 6 or 10 ton units. If you want a gauge the 10 ton is the choice but the 6 ton unit has satisfied many heavy users and doesn't have the added cost of the pump. If you have space a DIY setup can save money and customize your setup.

Is a gauge needed? I have space but not sure I know enough about it all to DIY something. Still trying to figure it all out.

No, after a few tries you get a feel for it. The gauge is nice for experimenting with pressure ranges but either way gets the job done.

Awesome, can’t wait to check it out!

I’m looking at the DIY stuff now, too, assuming the 3x5 plates would be a good fit for my situation? Is it as simple as putting the plates in the press and go?

The tier 1 contest that is for the DIY h-frame rosion press actually is 3x7" platens! We ususally recommend for rosineers to use no more than 1.5-2g per sq/in of puck size, so it's capacity is over 25-32g of buds per squish at a time. Of course you can always squish less too. Recommend a 10-12 ton H-frame press for 3x7" platens. 20-ton press would be overkill but many have that configuration too.

The caged plate rests on the worktable of your shop press, then the ram will press down on the top frame and make contact to begin pressing. After the pressing is done, you can let the unit cool down then easily remove the caged kit from your shop press work table and put it away.

@psychonaut If you have enough trophy points are you eligible to enter into the different contests on here, or is it only enter in one of them?

Thanks for sharing some love with the community!!

Thanks for your interest! You can enter all of them if you have enough trophy points. The level 3 contest has a product hr10t35v that is located in the US warehouse. Currently it's only eligible for US winners but I am looking at opening that up to everyone so long as the winner is willing to pay import fees and such as this is passed on to the receiver of the parcel, the shipper is not involved in that. I think there would be a fair few who would not be willing to pay those fees, and likely an equal amount who would, so with that being said, I have put in the inquiry with Roger the owner in China.

Just an FYI for you all, Roger has agreed to open the tier 3 prize to rosineers worldwide. The only catch is since the press has to ship out from China (if the winner is outside the US), the winner would be responsible for customs and duties fees. Apologies for the inconvenience but such is life when importing.

Thank you all for your interest in Dabpress products and the contests!

So. Thought i'd share my last two presses. Actually i should take a break, i don't go through a lot and starting to build to much of a collection haha.

Gorilla Glue (i believe) - 3.54 grams - 120 micron bag 2x4 - 1250 at gauge/1598 at puck - .87 grams - 24.5% return.

Consistency was sticky, but easier to manage then another strain i have been pressing a lot of.

Unknown Strain - 3.56 grams, - 120 micron bag 2x4 - 1250 at gauge/1598 at puck - .45 grams - 12.64% return.

Consistency is sticky, but easier to handle then the gorilla glue. Will stick to dabber/finger/etc. so gotta use tools and/or finger glove it seemed.

I have only been doing 1 press per puck anymore. The additonal 2ish% didn't seem worth the effort/time. I have starting giving my pucks to a family member to boost their edibles. Feels like win/win.

Also, i know i am still a little to high on the pressure. But for ease of repeating my results i may just keep it at this amount. With the gauge on my pump, just easier to shoot for the mark at 1250 as suggested, may play with keeping the needle under at some point. With the 120 micron bag i see no flecks of plant matter, even with 160 i only saw a few. Taste is great, holds longer then when vaporizing flower.

Temp wise i may just stick to 200 F., though may play with temp at times. 200 seems a good mid road like with the gauge.

I also started to use glass to store my conentrates. It can be a pain with the sticker stuff. I wasn't worried health wise with silicone, but i didn't like how much the silicone held on to a smell even after washing etc. I could see me using the silicone if bringing some somewhere so it is easier to handle at the time.

Now that my state will be going legal i don't feel the need to hoard haha. So i am starting to press some of the other strains i have. Love how i can have such different concentrates with ease for flavor/consistency.

One thing i would like to try and get some of these to budder, so they are easier to manage. Have read some online about trying to help this along. Next time i press the one that i know is very runny/sticky, i think i will either let it sit out, manipulate with the dabber by folding over, etc. See if that can help it be more manageable.

Like all my posts gotta end it with how much i love the dabpress. I may not put it through its paces since i am not a heavy user, but it is def. a must for me to always have. Much better then the concentrates i was getting on the blackmarket, no background solvent that i can taste, and much more true to the plant tastes as well. Also, can't beat being able to make your own at any time with minimal/no risks.

If anyone has thoughts/suggestions on buddering rosin and/or any general thoughts/suggestions always love to hear/read them.

Thanks again.

EDIT: Forgot to add. I also am know using the precut renyolds parchment. MUCH MUCH easier then using stuff from the roll. I think it was just under 4 bucks and will last me a long time. ALSO, i am now only using 1 piece of parchment. I had doubled it up, but that was when i was using to much pressure. Now with the pressure i am at there is very very little to none that i notice on the plates, and absolutely no tearing on the parchment or the bag.

I admit, I feel wrong even putting my name into any one of those three contests:freak:

I am so fucking FAT-HAPPY with my 10t3x5, I want nothing more! I need no second unit!
I hope whoever wins does a LOT of SQUISHIN!

For those lurking and not yet pressing, JUMP on one of these contests!

Matt over at Divine Tribe has UV blocking 5ml jars for cheaper than the clear DHgate jars and their going to ship from Cali instead of China. I've used mine exclusively since getting them.

Maybe you guys knew this but I didn't until the other day...these jars are painted. :cuss:
Had to order some infinity jars to replace these potentially toxic ones. China and paint are a no go!

I didn't win. Oh well, congrats to those who did! Now I'm back to where I was before, which one is best for me? Time for more reading.

Thanks again for the contest--very generous!

We were grateful to FC holding this contest, and all the interest from the members! Many thanks to @Stu and gang.

So welcome @Papi @HughJundys and @just_the_flu to the dabpress family! Send me a PM to coordinate delivery of your prize.

@Moses Baca I like to suggest people look at what they plan to squish at once and double that. This gives a lot of room to grow and not feel like you got the wrong press. If you use a shop press you can customize your setup at the cost of mobility.

If you wanna gauge you pretty much start at a 10 ton machine or shop press since the bottle jacks are self contained and only super expensive ones have gauges.

The bj6t35 is our best selling AIO unit, the 3x7 caged kit and 4x7 plate kits are our best selling for DIY.

We also have a skeleton frame and pump for rosineers who wanna partial DIY a custom build with our quality parts.
