Discontinued G43 and SledGhammer

It works exactly the same with Tubomyevic apart from the extra clicks to start and you get a timer that you can set for up to 15mins cruise if you have a compatible mod

There's loads of myevic builds so I wonder if there are any more with timers we could use ??

apparently i was added to the list around 3/1/19 but i haven't heard anything since. Are they still really backed up?

Damn, that's a snail's pace. I was going to add my name to the list but now I'm not so sure

I remember waiting for mine while everyone got their own and truly regretted not reaching out sooner. Now I’m king in the castle with G43 of my own and can’t help but empathize with your disdain.

With that being said...Better to get on there sooner than later. I don’t see how it’s a good idea to not get on the list

I remember about 2 years ago? Bud talking about 'project A' (if I believe correctly?)
I was going through all kinds of shit and I fell off from the boards, I also had the misconception his project was a total desktop event. I didn't use desktops at the time so the interest wasn't high... A year later I return to the vape world and as I reconnect I realized projectA has become G43, ppl are claiming this device bangs with the best of em' n the G is borderline portable! I'm into glass and desktops (now) so it's completely up my alley (now)... You have no idea. I felt like an idiot trying to get on a list I should've/could've been in the top 10 - 20? I ended up somewhere close to 300. Still waiting patiently :bang:

Get on the list friend. Your number gets called n you've changed your mind? Who cares. Ignore the call. Not getting on the list however is the silly thing to do. (Imo)

Did so shortly after posting my last comment. Now we wait

I sent Bud 2 unanswered PM's and I wanted to know how far they got on the list and approximately when I could expect the vape.

Does anyone know what number they are up to on the list?

You mean sur_myevic right? Not the old unmaintained myevic, which tubo_evic and sur_myevic are based on?

I can not recall which....but the file is myevic.bin.

I assume I just set the wattage somewhere between 10-13 watts and put it in cruise mode

Yea, pretty much put in cruise mode at 11w and go from there. It needs about a 4 min warm up then your good to go.

Bud recently mentioned that production should start moving along possibly faster soon. He is adding some help for part of the job and has recuperated from his time off and other personal things that he needed to take care of while the G's had to be put on a short hold for a bit.

I believe he is somewhere in the lower/mid 200's still.....sorry I cant recall exactly. But yes he has not communicated much lately (and is catching up with the emails and messages now), as he was sort of overwhelmed in the past few months of how much of his time got sucked up to making the G's. It was not as fast as he liked and some of the steps were ....um...not fun I would imagine...like grinding glass parts up inside the slide. He as the help of another forum member on VLF helping with making wires in bulk for him then he does not have to do that part. But it still takes time to not just build the vape one by one....but he fully tests each one too.

I would def get on this list as you have 0 to loose.....if your # comes up and it is time to order when your slot is available......you have the option to pay for it or bail on it.....no fuss!

Also, Bud is going to be fazing out the Mod versions......so his new version of the G43 is going to be what he wanted it to be originally, but the only change has been to use a protected 18650 instead of the unprotected flat tops we all normally use. So the new version of the G43 is going to be just a protected 18650 in a simple holder and not the mod. Run times are about 50 mins per cell and will auto shut off so no damage to cell. I personally like the mod for function and control, but maybe I will be swayed of the cell only version once I do a beta test on it.....which Bud mentioned should be soon. I will keep you posted to my experience when I get some time on it.

Other than that....Bud is moving on getting things going with the portable box G vape as well. Basically an industry standard aluminum box with a cell and smaller version of the G slide heater setup. He is working on a glass mouthpiece that is filled with some balls for cooling in a short exit path off the heater/oven area. Should be pretty cool as this was his original project to make a vape. If you have seen his live streams from the start....you would of seen him with this alpha build ripping big clouds and getting us all excited at what was possible.

Just to be clear. This will now be an unregulated vape? No temp control and nothing to stop from accidentally combusting?

If that is the case I have just lost interest.

No...not the case at all. It will use a "protected button top 18650 cell" IE not the unprotected (flat top) cells we all normally use. The unit will auto cut off because the cell is protected and will not allow drainage below a specific level...not sure if that is 3.2 v or what..sorry I forgot. So you will not get any combustion or have to worry about heat settings. In fact....any combustion is highly rare with the G43....only couple cases I recall hearing about........Troy was one...but I know his unit had an issue and the other one did too.

Basically, the length and resistance of the wire, cell holder, and connections offer the buffer of having the right resistance to allow the cell to heat up the coil/heater to just enough temp and keep it stable. Bud has tested this many times and many of us have watched him leave a cell in the vape on for almost an hour...and in fact one time I believe he maybe had a run time just over an hour. But his current alpha/beta model averages about 50 mins per full run time if you leave the cell in and use it like that. Most do not, and do a sesh that is maybe 10-15 mins max.

Bud has achieved his original idea of having a vape that you do not have to F with buttons or settings and it just works....turn on....wait for heat...start vaping draw after draw with no messing with the vape but to stir maybe. It works like that for sure....many of us have been watching him use it get these results.

Another small reason....or actually effect of making the move away from the mod version...he can make more quicker and have less issues over all. But I think he may have to relent later if users request the mod version again.......have to wait and see how that shakes down as many like the mod version.

How does this compare to the herbarizer if anyone has one. Thanks. Seems to be same results but cheaper. Curious. I have neither. I think I'm on the list for months. I did ask in his forum around Dec I believe and I haven't heard anything. Maybe I was skipped who knows.

Yes....G43 is $99......Herbarizer's are $380-500. Then there are the wires and being tethered to a dial and power supply line. Probably pretty close in actual vapor quality. I would say this vape is one that I would luv to try next....nothing else would be on my radar to compare to my G43 and Elev8r.

But if I got one...I would get the analog temp dial one.

Also, check back with Hazel at VLF and make sure you were put on the list.....you have to tag @Hazel or @VapeCritic in the G43 thread. I believe after a long month or so of personal time out for Bud.....the G production line is starting again as he as added some help. I think they are somewhere around low to mid 200's...maybe like 230 shipped at this point.

I appreciate it, exactly what I thought. . I think I rather pass now. At this point I would be begging. I commented on the forum multiple times and to ask if I was on the list. No word back. Enjoy the weekend ✌️

I'd recommend the glass symphony if the G43 appealed to you. It's bigger and definitely a desktop vape, but the heater and airpath is all glass. It's the only one I really use anymore at home.

Welp for no apparent reason I cannot comment on the G43 thread. The comment function on the webpage dissapeared from my my phone. I've

Too say I'm frustrated is to say the least. Not only did nobody get back to me when I commented on the G43 thread now for some reason I cannot comment on the boar. The comment function has dissapeared from my phone. I'm left with contacting Hazel on IG and sent out an email to Bud practically begging to be put on the list. Is it really worth all this fuss? I'm not sure if it is anymore

It seems Bud has temporarily disabled all posting on his forum. It's not just you. You can contact him about the G43 through the link he provides.

G43 enthusiasts. If you had the opportunity, would you buy a backup G43 with your original purchase if you could do it over again?
Or rather, do yall fear for the long term lifespan of the G, thus warrant purchasing a backup when opportunity arises?

Backups are always a nice security blanket for our favorite vapes. Having said that, I haven't heard about many failed units in the albeit short time that it's been available. So I'm not sure that it's necessary for a backup G43 unless you're prone to break glass like @ataxian. :ugh:
