I think i might have an atomizer issue? Ive tried the quartz and the titanium and im getting ok hits but ive tried all of the presets with the highest being the worst by the least amount of vapor and juat burned material..but ive tried 1 2 and 3 heat setting and juat not satisfying like i kniw this baby can do..thats why i think i might have issue..im hitting it slow but should i wait longer after it comes to temp? Should ibwait to put carb cap on after it gets to temp? Just trying make sure im not soing stuff wrong.

I dont use the quartz buckets very much but, when I do I usually have the app set to around 700 degrees. I leave the carb cap off until it stops bubbling in the bucket. I like quartz but, the titanium on the Carta hits way better to me. I want to preorder one of the SiC inserts but, think I'm going wait to see what others say before I do.

Id also avoid doing anything directly through fadespace not only do they have poor quality control but they also have poor customer service skills. Would never order from them
Again

Ok he is actively ignoring all messages from people all who ask him aboit the discount code.

A lot of people were asking why he is charging the same for and I quote "They are the same size as the stock buckets." As the Peak inserts that are obviously much bigger

His reasoning on his live stream to not responding was that his sales numbers have dropped drastically in the last few days and apparently he needs that funding I guess cause he asks us to order, gives out coupons but won't take a measly $10 off the orders of people who he convinced (yes, my fault) by that " they're going to sell out maybe a day maybe a week" talk...and ordered right out of the gate.

I'm very close to asking for a chargeback on PayPal as flavor is great with quartz and good concentrates anyway.

Sounds like nothings changed. i dont know whats going on because i dont follow them anymore and would never do any business directly with them again.

But as far as their preordering goes, i bought something as a preorder from them last year that was supposed to ship in a month and after 2-3 months i asked if there was any eta on a shipping date and they just responded “nope” . i asked for a refund after that response and to be fair they did refund me

I do like SiC and would like to own a surface of my own one day instead of relying on a friend to bring his but this feels like a "Pick your poison" type of industry. CCA, EQ, and CG all have bad response times and seem to apply 90% of their effort in getting the money into their account instead of using that effort for actually moving to get your order out but I've only ordered from CG (and the wait was average but it wasnt something i was rushing for) so The other two are just speculation.

Ive had horrible experinece with EQ as well.

There are plenty of respectable shops that place wholesale orders with these companies. Some have similar issues dealing with them that we customers do also. but imo if you want to order their products i would
Go through a respectable shop and not direct from these amateur companies

@FocusV i really think i got either an old atomizer or.one.thats not working well..im gonna try the app but i only get airy clouds on all presets with plenty of different types of concentrates. I got my unit from cream city vapes..not sure which atomizers they have in their units..but im having no overflow..its creeping up the walls and i draw slow so i know how to vape..im jjst nothing to compare to but videos and im nothing compared to some of them.cloud wise..

@subway13029 id just contact support about the issue. definitely sounds like an atty issue. get a replacement sent.
that being said,
I don't know your comfort level at rebuilding the atty, but the issue you mentioned can be from poor contact at the pin/grommet. check to make sure wires are getting good contact. one between the outside of the grommet and the wall, and the other between the inside of the grommet and the center pin.
pretty straight forward, older style tech.

Randall I am curious when you will be selling just the ceramic elements by themselves without the
whole kit?
Been really enjoying my Carta..Game changer for sure..It is my daily driver..Great job to you and the Focus team..

@Mynameismud to his credit Fadespace (what's the owners name?) Returned the $10 and he has a happy customer in me (even though I know to most $100 for 10mm wide insert is the equivilant to just burning like $60 over a fire) but FocusV/Carta is riding a big wave of support and the manufacturers would be dumb not to take some advantage over that but is $90 too much? Obviously lol.

Also I did look into the route you recommend and the closest place is DabNation_LA and they want um...too much and the "price that may vary" so im not sure and dont want to keep having to go out of my way to check the store every week to discuss pricing (which they won't do over the phone) & when they are released. When they will actually come in to the store.

How frequent were the QC failures on his inserts?

I have a feeling that this is a test run for his new material and what to expect I'm sales numbers but im...ok with that I feel the Carta is more efficient with material than our Axial set-up and the Carta really fits my lifestyle so to me it's worth the money but also because honestly I'm getting kind of tired of the Ti & Quartz inserts. Quartz would be awesome if I can get more consistant results at low temps but it still does good. Also I feel like these newest inserts feel different foe whatever reason and do preform better

@rskangler how does the ceramic compare to the quartz or Ti in the v2 atomizers in your opinion?

Edit: Spelling & Grammar

The ceramic I meant is the heating element not the ceramic bucket. Sorry for the confusion. I am waiting to see reviews for the ceramic bucket to come out myself. I have been using the quartz mostly and like it..

Can not speak to anything by fadespace, but I got to try FocusV's prototype sic bucket yesterday and it was smooth as silk. Nice milky rips in the low-mid 600s with full-bodied flavor that's unmatched by any of the other cups. If it comes in at the $40-50 price range that they're looking to hit, that'll be hard to beat. Keep an eye out for that hopefully by the end of the month!

Ya that's 2 for the price of one man and I don't know if a "Pharmacopia Approved" tag is gonna make that big of a difference. Maybe in protective explosive plate armor or Medical uses but as far as vape surfaces are concerned idk.

Also coming from a company that's as helpful & reliable as @FocusV It would be hard to argue the normal points that are made for buying high grade Silicon Carbide:

- Less-No chazzing & if it breaks your out a bit of money and double that if you want another and our "high grade is guaranteed not to break from vaporization alone"

That second point I don't see playing a factor with the Carta as it's not like an insert that would be kicking it in an Enail for long periods at a time at ~600°- ~700° or bring torched to higher temps than that then waiting for a cooldown but I'm just going off what I think I know lol.

For sure the FocusV ones should want to make him rethink his pricing though =D

I think it only matters for people who consider their vape a medical device. For stoners like me it doesn't mean much. Also, his inserts are made in the US so i don't think he can lower his prices very much. If the focus insert is from china and its around 50 bucks, then a us made one being 100 isn't too bad because his manufacturing costs would be much higher.

Does it work well with the default temperatures?

I just received my third Carta (first V2) but struggling to find a usable on-board temperature setting with the quartz bucket. 2 is wispy and wasteful and 3 seems too hot and chazzes on. :(

I prefer quartz over SiC in a full sized enail, but I'd like to try SiC in this small format as it should help compensate for the lack of surface area without tasting as womp as Ti.

I need to see why my Carta stopped vaporizing when the battery got half way down to two blue lights, the oil would run up the cup and just sit there on the quartz sidewalls. Almost like a 510 ego battery where the voltage is constantly dropping instead of holding voltage until the batteries capacity can no longer sustain the power settings, like a true variable voltage box mod.

Hit 1000 dabs on the original atty and it’s still going strong. Im really impressed at how robust the atomizers have been. I still use my beta unit at times and the original atomizer on it is still going.

I’ve been in a hurry and dabbing on the run a lot lately. I usually overload when I’m in a hurry so the atty got pretty messy since the last cleaning.

9

But, the atty cleans up pretty easy. This is after 15 min of hand cleaning it with ISO.

The Carta is my daily driver now. I tried using a rig a few weeks ago but, felt like a caveman having to use a fucking torch.

Subway13029 - Are you using quartz or titanium? If you are using quartz 700 is about right. If you are using a titanium bucket 700 is really high. When I first loaded the app, I forgot to change temp from C to F and took about an 800 degree dab on titanium. It tasted bad and I thought I was going have an aneurysm
