Thanks, I'm new to this type of vape and don't know anything about battery mods...I'm just a blunt/joint stoner

This sub might be of more help to you:

I got good advice from there.

Or maybe someone with more knowledge can chime. I just want to avoid giving bad advice here but again I can say that the Ikonn works great with Arctic Fox firmware. You can google the firmware to see which mods it supports. Same with Tubo firmware.

I have arctic fox running on a p80? I also had some flavour of tubo software on there but it's a newer one than the version mentioned on mistvape instructions on the site.

My problem was with getting the mod to connect to a PC via usb. I have arctic fox on it now and will probably just leave it like that

Thanks for this. Not sure how I missed the fact that P80 is AF compatible. That said, I run my P80 in wattage so I may not flash.

The Sinuous P80 is great, go back a page or two to see mine!

Also many Joyetech mods work. the iStick Pico is great too. ArcticFox firmware I find is the best of all now after the latest update. GIANT clouds or chill sessions, whichever you want :)

I run the Imp on a P80. It looks great though I've already scuffed the hekk out of my P80 - it's sensitive. I want a wood wrap for it!

It's better than any vape I've ever had... check my signature to see. Ok maybe not better than the Herborizer and holds just a little less weed than the Sticky Brick but... kicks the ass of any portable by far.

The OG Imp will touch the battery lip thing on the Pico - I tried. However if you're keen on it, you could certainly shave a millimeter or two off the Imp or Pico battery cap to make it perfect. I'd choose the Pico as a second choice to the P80 - both seem terrific.

I already ordered the imp, I just want one that I can use with stock firmware first until I get used to & then I will load new firmware

Arctic Fox firmware, for example, is much convenient because you can configure everything from your PC
Which mod do you have?

That's what Im looking for, which one to get
I would say get a P80, with Arctic Fox (Auto-Fire feature exists)
Mod: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...ntic-wismec-sinuous-p80-80w-tc-vw-apv-box-mod
Installation: when you get the mod, connect it with a micro-usb (which supports transfering data) First install the NFE Tools v190602 from the link below, then Install Arctic Fox from NFE's (NToolbox.exe) then in the menu you'll have the option to 'Firmware Updater'

Thank you... from what I have seen it's affordable and looks nice, gonna check in 2 nearby stores to see if it's available, if not I will ordered online...

No point in getting used to stock firmware as it plain sucks. TC implementation is a joke out of the box, so you'll get terrible results with irregular charring events, uneven extraction etc.

Really, you need to skip this step and go directly to PI(D) control... or get a mod with good TC like DNA boards for instance.

Probably that'sw what I will do in the end... I'm just new to all of this, started vaping in November

I am still using stock on my P80 with Splinter, wasn't bad with my RXG3D and SplinterZ either (switched to surmyevic for features), but those are just using wattage. For the Impcognito, mistvape has instructions for setting up Tubo or ArcticFox with temp control. My is on a cuboid mini with tubo in TC, as I now have an AsterRT side by side mod for it that needs the new ArcticFox loaded and set up for TC. It is a pretty nice setup, I also have the bronze RX DNA250 mod, used it for my SplinterV2 with effective temp control before switching to watts on the P80 instead. I also used my iHeat with the bronze RX, it works well and looks cool, but it's just too big and heavy with three batteries for my unfortunately still messed up hands. I also do wish that the RXG3D could be DNA for the TC, but also maybe we will get Tubo on it someday... I suppose if I like the new ArcticFox it is also compatible with the P80 and G3D so we'll see, pretty lazy lol

Got my imp a month or so ago and have dialed in tcr on the P80 and the evic dual. The p80 is just so small and light, it just fits perfectly in the hand and the evic is a bit clunky. I have trouble in wattage mode with my mods, it just seems they are too inconsistent. Some bowls are perfect, some not so much. With tcr on the p80 the temp is perfectly controlled and I get smooth, tasty hits. Got the shorty stems and its a bit harsh but the mouthpiece insert pretty much solves that. The stock stems are my preference but the shorty with a side by side mod would be very stealth.

sounds cool. Do you have Arctic fox on the p80?

I am up and running with the AsterRT and ArcticFox successfully using temp control via those Mist instructions, though I had to lower my TCR value to like 110 (still tinkering) with a locked cold resistance of .225 since a higher TCR was too hot. Great results now, can still get visible vapor at 330F that tastes great while 450F does not even scorch (hence still tweaking, new longer or cooling mouthpieces will make testing easier)

What a pocket portable! No need to sacrifice on power and taste here

I was using it in a movie theater with no trouble, I was literally able to use this like I would an oil cartridge and it wasn't inconveniently larger, though it is, and much heavier too, fit well in my hoodie or shorts pocket, even discrete sitting in the cup holder and easy to conceal in hand.

I think I might like ArcticFox as well, may load it to my P80 to try with Splinter, some things are not ideal, but I think all the benefits may offset them pretty effectively... As always there is much more time to be spent with this one!

No I went with surmyevic. Gotta go to the wismec website to download the uploader for each specific device. And then the file needed to upload to the device. From there it's just playing with the settings and finding what works best for you.
@Shit Snacks the wood insert helps the shorty mouthpiece so much. I didnt so much appreciate the shorty without the insert. Of course now I want the bead stem and a wood stem.

I love the way this looks but I really don't need another box mod. I thought of waiting to order my imp and now wish I had. Next time I order a new vape I will definitely wait. Or I'll end up with several models like I do with the splinter.
