To each their own obviously but I got my Milaana2 for pocket-ability. I love that I can slip into my front pocket. Although the Mi3 is being shelved at the moment, size would also be an important factor for me.

I use my splinter at home when I don't mind the bulk of the mod. Both are absolutely great but the Milaana seems to fill the gap in the lineup when it comes to size as compared to the splinter.

Is there a thread already started for the Seed? If there is a regulated device coming out, I will most likely get it. This all said, the US manufacturing for me was a bit of a draw but if performance is strong, that's something that can be overlooked. I personally like supporting domestic (Canada included) artisans. The RBT heater is phenomenal..only Tubo's heater can compare IMO.

Anything can be made portable. I can bring a log vape along for a car ride and plug it into the cigarette lighter if I want...doesn't mean that future versions of the log vape should be easier to carry.

If you want to take your milaana along with you for your day go nuts, but there are vapes made solely for the purpose of being small and "pocketable". They *might* make your travels easier.

I hope RBT goes by the old saying "If you try to please everyone, you'll end up pleasing no one." It sounds like they will though...

The problem is there are no pocketable vapes as good as the current RBT lineup. I'm talking battery vapes.

I'm sorry but not everything can be made portable or even pocketable which is what I am looking for. Are there better pocketable options? Of course but I happen to like RBT tech and heaters so the Milaana works out well for me. Others have also enjoyed the smaller form factor compared to v1 or v1.5.

No one is asking Ryan to make drastic changes to the Milaana to make it more portable. Not sure why you're taking this feedback as such. The Milaana2 is already portable enough for what it is and we are simply letting him know that this is an aspect that we would prefer not to be changed in the newer iteration.

Sure I can take a log vape with me on a trip but I'm not taking it to a concert. Just like I'm not taking my splinter plus mod. Again, to each their own.

I'd rather Ryan make changes to the Milaana to make it better all around than limit his thinking so that it can fit in your pocket. I'm sure most people would feel the same since "pocketability" was probably never really high on the "reasons to own a milaana" list.

When I started using the Mi with version '1.5,' I went to the DDave reducer. The 18mm required me to use too much material (I was a kid then). The 14mm was the right sized stem. But it was less convenient than the go 18mm, which I use exclusively now (I'm all grown up).

How close is the development of a new model? Will this be something we might see in 2019?

That seems unlikely since it was put on back burner vs Sprout & Seed...

I get it. Limited bandwidth. I’d love to see a new Milaana.

I agree with the post above that pocket ability is not that critical for me. I’d just like a chance to own a super vape. Honestly there are so many options for small portable Vapes. I don’t really like them as they are mass produced but for portability they work well.

For around home I only use wooden Vapes. They seem to have more character and soul plus they are great to hold and look at. To me it’s a huge aesthetic thing and the ones I use work great. So my 2 cents is not to focus on size but quality of the hits.

Hey folks... Mi3 is still plugging along. The Mi3 will be near the same as the Mi2 with the following major changes: The heater will now have a ceramic base to reduce the chance of wood flavors in over temperature conditions. The bottom wooden cap will be replaced by a recessed wooden plate. The radius on the battery side of the unit will be increased like in the Mi OG to reduce size and improve pocketability. There is a prototype of an improved battery spring contact but that might not make the trip. Other changes are more cosmetic and really minor changes overall. The initial beta units could come as early as August with production landing before year end.

Thanks for all the help in identifying and implementing some valuable changes in the Mi3.

What a twist! Exciting to think we might see a Mi3 so soon! Really impressed by my Mi2, such refinement from the original beta, Mi3 sounds like more!

I want to be on the waiting or email list too. That is a great idea to line up customers before the product is out.

I really want a Milaana but haven’t found one yet and now with this update coming I’m hoping I can score one of the new ones.

If you are looking for a Milaana you should keep your eye on the classified ads.

A used Milaana just went for 150 Euro (IMO, on the high side).

oops the seller didn't mark it sold and i didn't read all the replies ... they turn up quite often but it's the luck of the draw!

No worries. They have been turning up recently. Prices have varied wildly though. This was one was definitely reasonable IMO.

I'd also like to go on "the list" but seeing as I'm from Canada it would have to be a different list I presume? Using my Splinter Z in watt mode is getting me pretty excited for another unregulated vape in my line up.

I wonder what will be offered for wood choices. Everytime I see a Spalted Maple I drool :ko:, such a good looking vape, I'd love to snag one.

Hey folks... not sure that the Mi3 will make the cut. Given that several of our retailers cannot carry it due to insurance issues (Milaana is unregulated with no integral auto shut-off timer for safety, only a guitar pick :) so it being such a niche vape without retailer support it sales are not expected to sustain the product (aka selling a small, unregulated wooden vaporizer in this market has proven to be tuff ;) Once the Seed design is in the hands of production Mi3 will be evaluated with our then hopefully larger pool of retailers, most anticipated to be smaller and accepting of selling a Mi3 it still might pan out.... for now, there will be about 100 Mi's that will be auctioned off on IG with about 25 being exotic woods.

Thanks for all the support as RBT continues to transition into a sustainable organization as well s your patience as we work to keep it on the top side of the rubber.

RBT is changing it's business model to making limited runs of initial product introductions. These runs will be initially released through a pre-order of a limited number of units. To gauge interest RBT will be accepting a blank email to milaana3@rastabuddhatao.com. If sufficient demand exist then a pre-order will be done. Price point will be based on demand as the development cost of the project will be spread over the batch size. This allows RBT to assess the true demand for a project prior to making the investment to develop it.

Same is happening with Zion M so please see that thread if you are interested... and only tell your cool freinds :)

Hoping for a good showing as I would hate to see Milaana die but if the dog wont hunt it gets a bullet. #leanstartup
